A few notes for clarification from our experience; as far as the TV situation is concerned: the TV's in the rooms have a Chromecast installed on them, using GuestCastTV to perform authetication to allow access to the Chromecast. As such, you must have a mobile device with apps installed with the content that you want to view on the TV, and those apps must have casting ability. For those who want live TV, you'll need a subscription service like YouTubeTV, or something from a cable channel. Netflix, etc. are OK (laptops are not), but in any case, that app must have its own feature to allow for casting. Space restrictions prohibit me from further info.
A few other things, it's not a fully accessible property. There's no way to get to any room without at least 3-5 steps. The heat is a little glitchy, either too much or not enough. The breakfast is continental only (no protein) but sufficient, with a microwave available in the lobby. Refrigerators are available, for $10 per night, but only a few are available, so one will need to be brought into the room when checking in.
However, let me say that it's a lovely, clean property; definitely nostalgic. We had to stay in one day because of terrible weather, and the rooms, bathrooms, and beds are comfortable for a longer stay. It's a nice jumping off point to not only a couple of nearby towns (with a few restaurants & groceries in Whitefield & Lancaster), but also attractions like North Conway, Gorham, Berlin, & Mt. Washington.
