Dear Guest, Warm greetings from Constance Halaveli! Thank you once again for taking the valuable time to share your concerns with us. We have well received your remarks. We pride ourselves on ensuring that guests leave with a fond memory of their stay on our beautiful paradise. We were disappointed to know that we were not able to live up to this promise and your stay with us was not an enjoyable one while the vast majority of our guests did. The entire team and I are of course very distraught that these are your thoughts in regards to your recent stay, something that we have never experienced before from our guests. Nevertheless, we would like to point out that measures have been taken by the management with utmost urgency to address your concerns. Although we tried our very best to recover from the beginning, sadly we were not giving any opportunity to extend further our generosity and usual great services. We have been blessed with the amazing gifts of Mother Nature that surrounds us but sometimes we have to assist by placing some eco-friendly sandbags along with our regular sand pumping exercise; the same practices that most of the resorts in the Maldives are continuously doing to fight against the occasional erosion of our beaches. While unfortunate, please know that the beach erosion problem is very common in most islands of the Maldivian archipelago including other resorts. We can assure you that we are offering a great and large beach area for our in-house guests to enjoy their beach activities such as beach tennis, volleyball, beach soccer and petanque during their daytime as well as romantic locations to arrange a private dinner during the night. In regards to the wave breaker you call “construction” that separate the reef, please allow me to share with you that the surrounding barrier walls that you see is to protect our little island and to reduce the intensity of wave action and thereby reducing beach erosion. Most of the islands including our resort built the wave breakers to protect both the island and the reef, allowing us to have one of the most vibrant house reefs, which also holds a very healthy population of reef sharks and marine life surrounding us. Thank you for sharing your concern about the drone usage. While we recognize that, we have guests who are drone enthusiasts, due to the comfort and privacy concerns for our guests, our resort prohibits the operation of unmanned aerial systems or drones (including model aircraft) on or above our private islands. However, we do grant an exception to use the devices and approval must be obtained from our Management with the supervision of our security team. This information has been relayed to you, which somehow brings us an unfavorable image from your end. We completely understand that there may have been a misinterpretation on the terms of usage.
