Not for business travelers
Not the right place for business travelers, there was no wifi in my room as I was given the last room on the corridor. Luckily receptionist lady was friendly and there was an another room available so she changed my room after my complaint. And I know the hotel is located in nature but I like animal outside, not in my room, but my room was full of ants, especially bathroom.

A great break an hour from Prague
i would recommrend this hotel to anyone who wants a nice treat one hour from Prague. The room was just ok but the service and the dinner was outstanding

Amazing property 20min outside Kutna Hora.
Quite incongruous as this property was a family-owned Chateau at the turn of the century, but it is located in the middle of a bucolic Countryside. Outstanding dinner! Big room and bathroom! Quiet!

Country Charm and Art Deco Theme
This was actually a business trip but got a day away to see the area outside of Prague. This hotel features early Art Deco architecture and a quiet and beautiful country chalet location. This stay was a great value and neat place to visit.

Clear glass bathroom door?
Arrived around 12:00 pm and was allowed to check in. We thought we were staying in the Chateau but were given a room in a detached one story building on side of Chateau. Room does not have a lot of space and is not well lit. Hallway to room was also not well lit so it was difficult to see keyhole to open door. Bathroom is nice but has clear glass door and a clear glass panel between bed and bathroom. Air conditioning worked great. Was going to ask for room in Chateau however there is no air conditioning in chateau rooms so we chose to stay where we were. Service is great. Breakfast is better than most. Restaurant has great food. There is ample free parking in back.

A very quiet place but a bit torn down
The breakfast is good and the service is personal. However, the whole facility is a bit torn down and the location is a bit far off from Kutna Hora, even though we drove.

Netter Zwischenstopp
Wir waren auf der Durchreise für eine Nacht abgestiegen. Die Hotelanlage ist toll, liegt etwas außerhalb am Ortsrand und deshalb sehr ruhig. Wir waren in der in der Orangerie untergebracht. Die Zimmer sind funktionell und bieten reichlich Platz. Sehr schön ist der direkte Zugang zum Garten mit einer kleinen Terrasse. Zum Frühstück gab es einen guten Kaffee, das Angebot an Essen war recht übersichtlich aber ausreichend. Das Chateau Kotera ist sehr gut für einen Zwischenstopp geeignet, einen längeren Aufenthalt würden wir dort eher nicht machen.

Glad överraskning!
Vi blev glatt överraskade över detta mysiga och fina "slott". Allt var smakfullt renoverat och det kändes lite som att befinna sig i gamla kommunist-Tjeckien. Sovrummet var placerat i en byggnad som kändes lite som ett växthus i positiv bemärkelse. Mycket fina och mysiga rum. Parken runt hotellet var välskött och fin. Parkering och wi-fi gratis. Frukosten var bra och kaffet gott! Vi åt middag i "slottsmatsalen" på kvällen och vi blev mycket nöjda. Romantiskt! Enda negativa - tunna och dåliga huvudkuddar.

Beautiful Chateau - 'a hidden gem'
I wish we could've stayed longer! We were very late arriving due to an accident. I phoned ahead to make sure they would still be open, and was told it would not be a problem. Unfortunately we were so late we missed dinner. Our room was lovely and spacious and had everything we required to make our stay comfortable.

Fantastic location
This is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in. It is set in a beautiful rural location in a grand 100 year old building. The rooms are very spacious and comfortable, the service is impeccable and the food is fabulous. Fantastic value.

Hotel Kotera
The room was comfortable and the staff very friendly and accommodating. We had a very difficult time finding the hotel; which put a damper on the stay.

Interesting property, but choose the room wisely
Chateau Kotera is an interesting place. It definitely has a great potential, but it needs some serious investment. If you are going there, you should know that there're 2 parts: the old villa, and a new building called "Orangery". Architecture of the old part is great, but one can immediately see that some renovation is needed. The same thing can be said about the rooms. We have booked a room in this part, but then refused to stay here, because there were some annoying details like damaged carpet and not so great bathroom. We moved to a room in Orangery, which was in a way better shape. Although it is lacking the atmosphere of the rooms in the old villa, it seemed to me as a better place to stay. Which is sad, because the old part definitely has its spirit. Great thing about this place is the restaurant. Forget that you can get a decent meal in Kutna Hora, which is really close. Here it is something completely different. The restaurant has a nice interior, and quality of the meal is solid (but not great, compared to what you can get for the same price in Prague). Prices of wines are a bit steep, but that was the only issue I had. And beware during checkout - if you don't manage to make it to the breakfast (which we never asked for during the reservation), they still want to charge you for it. Ugly habit. I would definitely like to come back some day, mostly because of the restaurant. And if they will invest some money into renovation of the old villa, I'll be happy to sleep there too...

Dear Martin, our hotel is furnished with unique collection of historical pieces (from beginning of 20 century, made by renowned architects). We are very proud, that we manage to put together such a collection. Even though that those pieces were restored, it should be underwood, that this furniture is more than hundred years old. Regarding to restaurant – our dishes gets better and better, so you are welcome to came again and try for yourself as well as our hotel. Our check-out times are longer now and you will never be charged for late check-out without notice.
