We booked this hotel last min.the day before. There seemed to limited hotels for a Friday night in this area. This hotel had an elevator which is a plus for us. The checking was smooth we had prepaid and the room was ready. The room itself was clean but seemed dingy due to the colour of paint they chose. It had new laminate flooring so they are trying. The doors , our and a few peoples rooms on our floor were very squeaky, especially in the middle of the night. There seemed to be a lot of commotion, but in fairness it is a hotel. My biggest complaint is that the outlets provided would not consistently work. The sockets are very loose when something is plugged in. They could not be relied on to even charge a tablet. It made charging Hearing Aids questionable not to mention how do you sleep with an intermittent CPAP machine. Common guys these sockets are WORN OUT!!! There where lots of receptacles but they where all the same hard to get a reliable connection. The breakfast was adequate, no eggs or meat but hot and cold cereal and a waffle maker. Coffe was empty when we got there (7:30 am). They had toast some muffins and a small offering of fresh fruit. They had a pool with water in it but that too was not available for some reason. If you are in need of a last minute place to stay for a quick stay over night it is ok, however it would not be my first or second choice. I will not stay there again, I hate painting all hotels with the same brush but Red Roof is not for me.

John at the front desk was super helpful finding me room. I’m allergic to cats/dogs so he literally walked around with me to find a room that wouldn’t be an issue. I then call to make he could switch. I’ve never had someone take that much time to help me for a check in before. Overall this is a great hotel for the price. It’s not perfect but it’s clean, doesn’t smell like weed, and it’s in a safe area. John and others here have been very nice!

Approached room could tell something was wrong with the door. It would not even close properly. Bed was disgusting, human and dog hair, dirt all in the bed . Place is trash. I didn’t even feel comfortable walking about this hotel alone. We left, booked a room with clarion across the street, it wasn’t much better and we had no hot water and they wouldn’t even give us a discount.

For being a non-smoking room the bedspread had a burn whole in it, clean room did not smell of smoke , beds were not bad. Would stay again if coming through Richmond, KY again.

Staff was excellent and friendly. Front desk checked the room prior to sending us up! Housekeeping checked with us to make sure we had what we needed and told us to let them know if we ended up needing something. Room really nice and clean.pool was good. Very conveniently located off the freeway and near restaurants, gas stations, and right in front of a Walmart. I felt safe as a solo traveler and the front desk gentleman was very kind and helpful.

The elevator was not working had to use stairs to second floor. Being handicapped as not easy. Should have been informed before we got here.

In general we found the accommodations average. The hallways and stairs were quite dirty. Our room was fairly clean, however when we opened our fridge there was a cockroach in it which was a little upsetting. When we left in the morning we saw another cockroach cross our path in the hallway. Reported it to the front desk and he said he would check it out - no apology. Probably won't stay here again.

The hotel is in pretty bad shape in some ways. The second floor stairs were met with a bag of spilled construction material (looked like a bag of loose concrete), and a giant hole in the ceiling with a consistent leak. The elevator also had a leak, they just put a ‘wet floor’ sign over the puddle, which took up half the space in the elevator. The walls are paper thin, the TV in our room was low quality in sound and picture. No modern charging plugs next to the bed, only standard 3 prong outlets which only one of two worked next to the beds. The air conditioner worked well, fridge and microwave (always a nice amenity) also worked well and were useful. Some of the rooms on our floor had doors with entire knob and lock systems missing so you could see directly into the room. The staff were fantastic, we checked in during one gentleman’s shift and our stay carried over into another gentleman’s shift for the evening. Both were very friendly and helpful. The hotel did not have a cigarette odor, and the bedding and towels seemed clean, we’d probably stay again for a cheaper price, but it definitely seems like a manager or whoever is in charge of the day to day is missing some major details in what’s acceptable as far as appearance goes.

As soon as we were made aware of the tile failing because of a leak it was cleaned up immediately. The TVs are being replaced here directly but they meet the requirements and brand standards, The elevator is being repaired not something we have direct control over. We are working on this facility as diligently and as quick as we can. Thanks for your input on how to make our space better!
