The door handle fell off and access was difficult to get into room. Carpets could do with renewal. Staffe were polite. Breakfast was friendly and enjoyable.

A bit disconcerted that door was was locked and no Receptionist! That sorted We seemed to be the only guests….. never saw any and we were the only people having breakfast both days. It was clean and comfortable and three minor problems in the room were sorted promptly and successfully! Staff helpful and friendly…. It was ideal for our needs.

Great potential needs some maintenance.
The hotel needs a few updates, my bedroom had a bed side table with no handle and screws sticking out, the windows were without their wedges, creating a draft. The noise from the next door takeaway and the smell was not the most pleasant. Breakfast was timely and tasty. Unfortunately I did not see anyone in the hotel wearing masks from staff to guests, very relaxed and did not fill me with confidence.

Clean comfortable stay
This was a last minute overnight booking. I was a bit worried when i got there as the hotel looks a bit shabby on the outside but inside my room was clean and comfortable. The bed was very comfortable - great. The staff are friendly and attentive and breakfast, brought to your room because of Covid, was on time and good. Issues - I couldn't connect to wifi and the breakfast was pretty cold but I have no doubt the staff would have helped had i raised the issues. Also best to call the hotel on arrival as no-one was at reception and the front door was locked. Someone came out to meet me straightaway.

Great little hotel, not too far from the train station and town, with plenty of parking (the street is fairly quiet for additional). Room was clean, warm and comfortable. Perfect for what I needed.

Staff were very helpful and friendly. Room was comfortable with large bathroom and excellent shower. Breakfast was well cooked and service prompt.

Slow and really not welcome.
Got the feeling that my visit were not wanted when I were checking in.. The slowest service ever... Would rather call this a motel or bnb. The food were slow and the eggs tasted ekstemley of garlic. Not coming back...

The room was very good as was the decoration throughout. The only problem was the length of time it took for the order for breakfast to be taken and then it took nearly 20 minutes for the food to arrive. It wasn't that busy. If the service improved it would be an excellent hotel

Very convenient to the railway. Get off the stop before Helenburg and its just over the bridge. A bit annoyed that our payment had been take from the card before we had checjed out. We had given credit card details on line but intended to pay individually on checking out. Didn't think this was fair or right.

My wife and I enjoyed a lovely overnight stay in this hotel, the staff of the hotel were very helpful to us. The room was excellent, lovely comfortable bed, room was warm, bathroom very clean, bath and shower, excellent. We are returning to Helensburgh in 2018 and have already booked this hotel for our stay.

Idea location for us
This hotel was a great surprise, The room was clean & comfortable. Breakfast was well cooked and presented, everything we could want. The people were very friendly and looked after us very well. We will be hoping to stay here again.

Avoid!
Left after 10 mins of being in room, worse hotel room i have ever been in, room 7. We decided not to sleap here, but were given refund without any problems.

The hotel looks as though it is going through modernisation. Reception area needs to be improved to make it more welcoming. The bedroom had been painted however the blinds didn't work, the timber behind the headboard was shabby and the carpet was old and stained. In saying that there are positives, the room was very clean, the bed extremely comfortable and the bathroom/shower room was finished to a very high standard. A new carpet and a fix of the blinds would give you a luxury room. Breakfast was very good.

Nice place, shame about the hygiene.
I stayed in a superior room for 2 nights which was well appointed, almost new,clean and comfortable. Wifi was excellent. 3 things on the minus side. Breakfast poor quality sausages. Neither mine nor my colleague's room was serviced after the first night and I may have this wrong but the guy on reception wore the same shirt for 3 days. One might argue that it was uniform but even the breakfast chef wasn't wearing one.

Bijzondere ervaring bij dit hotel. Bij binnenkomst lijk je binnengelopen te zijn bij help mijn man is klusser. Vloer gelegd, laatste 3 planken niet, muurtje gemetseld, laatste 2 rijtjes niet. Eetzaal half geschilderd..... Maar dan ga je naar de kamer, en die was echt heel netjes! Fijne grote douche, goed werkend internet, fijn en groot bed. Mooie tv. Ontbijt ook erg goed en lekker. Je kamer en handdoeken worden wel maar om de 2 dagen vervangen/schoongemaakt. Maar zou hier zeker terug gaan.

Room was clean and female staff member friendly. Entrance way to hotel was appalling, unpainted bare and old dirty carpet. Almost walked straight out but had paid in advance and needed somewhere to stay after long drive. Room was clean but beds were very old and room lacked bed side lights - only had overhead main light. Dining area appeared to have been part of an old pub, dirty/stained carpet and lots of wear and tear which could be vastly improved with a makeover. Overpriced for what we got.
