The shower wasn’t cleaned very well before I got there. The lights quit working in the room after night two. Found the previous persons soap trash on top the shower rail. Bathroom door wouldn’t stay latched.

Nice and Big!
The staff was excellent, and the room was large and clean. The only negative is that the hot water wasn't that hot.

We walked into smelly room and had to leave the door open to air it out. It was nice having the Dollar General next door because we grabbed some air freshner, but when husband checked the bathroom to see if there was shampoo provided he was blasted in the face with a mold odor or the smell of dirty feet that was so powerful that he almost threw up. He then told me to go check out the shower and when I did, I too almost got sick. The front desk folks were very nice though.

bugs everywhere in the room. Sheets and pillows were stained with blood. Floors were dirty and the bathroom was dirty. Staff was so friendly so it’s unfortunate but we would absolutely never stay here again

Fine for an overnight stay. Nothing bad to say.
Over night stay. Hunting excursion. Late checkin. Early check out. Room smelled a little musty but i had some air freshner spray that took care of that. Water pressure fine. Bedding fine. Room fine. Ac worked good. Decent place to stay. I will stay again when necessary.

Nice Hotel. It just needs some updating. It is next to Cumberland River and beautiful in evening and early morning. It is also next to a grocery store, 2 restaurants and a Dollar General.

Great old school motel right on the river. You actually get a real room key! We stayed three nights and were pleased.

Room was not very clean. Power strips were used because of lack of plugins. The wall lamp by the bed had a spliced cord added. This could be a hazard. Roughly patched walls. Deadbolt on entry door had a key broke off in it. You could hear neighbors talking through the walls.

Property is old and smelly. Pool is green. Fridge was cracked but worked well. Hangers were even broken. Sheets are stained, and pillows have seen better days. Place was quiet though, and beds are pretty comfortable. View towards the back was breathtaking.

Keep your expectations low
The people are nice. It's an old place, poorly maintained in the past, a little better now. Room is fairly clean, everything worked. I've stayed many times before, so I was not expecting anything fancy. One criticism: there's a collection of junky old furniture and appliances in the outside corridors that grows every year. That really needs to be cleaned up.

An okay stay, but it could have been better.
Not sure if Hotels.com messed up or the hotel, but they gave away my room because I didn’t prepay (I elected to pay at the hotel). My reservation was on their interface for Hotels.com but they said it wasn’t “confirmed.” Fortunately, they had a couple of cancellations. I didn’t get the room I booked, but at least I wasn’t forced to find other lodging. The room needed better cleaning. The carpet make my feet blacken, and the comforter had dried bits of food on it. Half the lights didn’t work and the toilet kept running unless you fiddled with the handle. The staff were nice and friendly, but more attention to housekeeping is needed.

Staff was the greatest thing about it:) Very welcoming and helpful with all of our questions. This will be our new spot when we come to town:) Happy I found this place. Everything you need is walking distance which was a major plus for us.

Wonderful Lady at the Front Desk!
We own a place just up the road that had been broken into. Damage and loss necessitated a local place to stay while working to replace door and other issues. The Inn was OK. Everything worked and it smelled fresh. Bathroom was small,toilet/commode was very low. Shower was so small you would have to get out of it to change your mind! Towel rack was missing, pictures must have been hung in the room at some point as hangers were still present. Floor looked new as did the vanity. room was clean for the most part as was the bedding. Beds were quite comfortable and probably new as well. The two most outstanding parts of this Inn were the Wonderful lady at the front desk and the Price. I'll be back if necessary, much better than some places I have ended up in for twice the price. Captain Ryan:

Small town at its best!
The place is not new but was very clean and comfortable. I would recommend this to everyone who needs a place to stay. Everyone is friendly and helpful and seem to care about your needs.

Only 1 of three lights worked. Everything is covered in rust (the metal frame of the lampshades have rusted through the fabric!). Wallpaper falling off, towel bar was ripped off wall. Towels had black streak marks. Just disgusting- period!
