We apologize for any inconvenience caused to you. Park View is designed for those who prefer to handle their own catering. However, we do offer a complimentary starter pack for your convenience. Any additional consumption will be charged at a cost-based price. Also we provide free dish liquid, dishwasher powder, laundry liquid, and other cleaning products for guests to use, encouraging them to maintain a clean condition.

We enjoyed our stay here it was cosy. There was construction next door but that did not affect our stay at all. Could barely notice it. Place was very comfortable and tidy. Bam Bam cafe next door was a bonus and a short stroll to the beach. The only thing I could fault was shower water was temperamental between hot and cold.

Liked the location, property is an older style, however is in great condition, well maintained. Apartment was very comfortable, parking access was easy. I would stay again.

Property was very close to the beach and cafes. Surf club at the end of the street. There is construction next door but that didn't bother us as we were out most of the time. Very quiet area. Park right next door. Will stay here again.

Unfortunately there was a construction site next door. No milk was available in the fridge for the coffee and tea sachets. When we made the phone call to reception to ask, we were informed there would be no milk to the Monday. There was a charge of $2.00 for extra toilet paper if we needed it.

Upon arrival we set to the reception, which to our surprise was a lady peeking out of her private window which stunk terribly and tainted our clothes for the rest of the day. Check in was not for several hours later and yet we were expected to keep our luggage outside in the weather conditions. When voicing our concerns of luggage getting stolen she promptly replied “most of the time it is ok”. After speaking to her, she agreed to let us leave our luggage on her “private” patio in the burning sun. When we came back later for check in, we were expected to clime 2 flights of stairs (no elevator) with heavy luggage. The room stunk, carpet was mismatched, and several signs alerting us of potential theft and to always lock our doors. Would not recommend, we immediately left and would never return.

Mermaid Park View is a 25 years old rated 3.5 stars economy apartment with no lifts.We only have outdoor areas free for earlier arrival guests and earlier check-in is required to be confirmed in advance depending on availability.We couldn’t please everyone all the time.

Unit was pleasant, clean and well equiped we didnt realise there was no lift and we were on the first floor and husband has bad knees so the steps didnt help, if we stay again will ask for ground floor unit.The microwave was located above fridge so was a bit high for us shorties and could be dangerous getting hot food out , pool and hot tub/spa was having some maintance done while we were there it would of been nice to have them availiable otherwise an enjoyable stay

Property is in a great location however Wotif should advise that construction is occurring directly next door and that the pool at the property is currently closed for repair. The common areas of the property also need attention, but overall the actual room was clean and tidy.

While the location is ideal for the beach, parks and surf club, the property itself is small and tired. This includes the apartments. A one-bedroom family apartment, with a pull-out bed in the living room, felt cramped and claustrophobic

It was clean and tidy. The reception desk was friendly and polite. Only feedback would be to replace the lounging chairs around the pool due to rust and sharp edges. Otherwise we really enjoyed our short stay. Thank you

The room was nice and clean & everything you need. The only downside was the aircon unit was rather old & loud, would’ve also been nice to have a unit in the bedroom instead of a fan

The unit was clean and comfortable but needed attention on some small details. Office/reception was unattended on arrival so I had to wait around.

Bad check in
How can you checkin at 2pm, when the office closes at 1pm. However the office was unattended even at 12, and manager did not answer calls to their phone. After more than 30 minutes manager arrived and response to my comment on crazy times was “ yes, it’s a bit tricky”. Needless to say we were fuming by then, no apology for leaving us standing in hot tropical sun. Front gate with code entry was out of order, and we were only able to enter because another guest let us in. While unit was fine for our needs, I would not go through crazy checkin process here again. If office is advertised as open it should be. Very bad service.

Wifi not working
Advised manager 4 times that router had a fault yet nothing done to resolve. International travellers booked 2 rooms and no internet. This was a requirement for all parties traveling and was one of the main considerations as it said internet (wifi) was provided. No shampoo conditioner dishwash liquid etc provided and toilet paper! Won’t be recommending or staying again

we have to admit our Internet (wifi) might be not very stable sometimes, especially during peak time. this is not up to us as our plan is the best one we can get in our area. this is also the reason why we offer it for free. But we are pretty sure it is available and is working all the time. Our property is a self-service apartment, so we don't offer shampoo and conditioner. however, dish-wash liquid and laundry liquid could be found in the kitchen. Anyway, thank you for your stay and comment.

nice unit poor showers
It was a nice unit, if a little tired. My big complaint was the no pressure shower. I did ask at the desk and they had a look at it- it worked ok but when you have it running for more than 30 seconds the pressure became non existant- even at 12.30 in the morning. If the shower was working properly I would recommend the units.

Good but noisy
Good place to stay for a weekend but noise from the park behind was an issue. Apartment was clean and tidy. Staff were very helpful.

very good location and can walk to Broadbeach
good privacy and peace full place to spend a holiday. Shopping centre and beach which is located close by. Had booked for four days and could not get an extension for check out time so need to be out of the place by 10am.

Not overly glamorous but good value for money
The property is a little dated and could benefit from an upgrade but I think this is reflected in the price. Although Park View is close to the main highway, there was little traffic noise in my apartment as it was on the second floor with a sitting room and balcony overlooking Ventura Road and the bedroom was towards the back. The staff are really helpful and pleasant and the apartment was very clean and had all that you could need including washing machine and dryer. It is within walking distance to the beach and also the large shopping centre at Pacific Fair. Mermaid Beach is not in the thick of Gold Coast action but a little quieter and the tram does not come down that far - the nearest station is at Broadbeach South. My main quibble was that the wifi connection was fairly sporadic which was a little frustrating and needs to be remedied. However, all in all, I felt it was great value for money and I would recommend it.

Actually we got very detailed introduction for extra cost of CONSUMABLES in our compendium ,and we also already offer free coffee,tea,sugar and toilet roll paper in every unit when you check in.

Acceptable place for a short stay
Service was supposed to be on a weekly basis, but on the 8th day we had to ask for a change of linen and towels, and had to make the bed ourselves. For the next 10 days neither other fresh linen not towels were given. The free Wi-Fi was never giving an Internet access, you could connect to Wi-Fi, but no outside connection was provided.

Pleasant stay
We had a Parkview room, which made a nce outlook and cool breezes from the balcony. The apartment is small but good size for a couple. Basic kitchen, but good cafes close by. Close to lovely patrolled beach. Wifi was unreliable, secure parking available below building, managers friendly and helpful. Overall we enjoyed our 5 night stay and liked the more laid back Mermaid Beach area.

It was close to shops and beach
The 3 flights of stairs from the parking was disappointing. The furniture in the unit we stayed in was terrible uncomfortable and old. The pool was good and the distance to the shops and beach was good.
