PROS:
Location: wonderful. Near cafe and restaurants. Walking distance to Beer Street and Hang Bac street (where all money exchange shops are). Literally 3 minutes walk to water puppet show and Hoàn Kiếm lake. Very close to French quarter. We even walked to train street, temple of literature and Chợ Đồng Xuân market from our hotel. Although close to everything, it was still quiet enough for good sleep.
Breakfast: was great with individually cooked eggs, pho (Vietnamese beef noodle soup), fruits, sushi, sweets, yogurt, and drinks. View of restaurant was high up and nice (12th floor).
Service: fantastic and prompt. The welcome drink was a nice touch.
Room: had many amenities: slipper, robes, laundry service (for a fee), mini bar items for purchase etc.
CONS:
Room conditions: a bit outdated compared to pictures. Our only window was facing the white walls of the next building so it didn't feel like we had any window at all. Room felt generally dark.
Wifi: had many interruptions and was on and off for us.
Overall, good hotel for the price we paid and for the excellent breakfast and service.
