Absolutely loved the Indigo Inn! The bed was perfect very comfortable, the room was very spacious with lots of seating. We could not hear any noise at night which was great! Breakfast complementary was good muffins awesome and a lot of variety of food to eat. Will definitely come to Charleston and will definitely stay at Indigo Inn when we do!

On day we left, there was a huge palmetto bug on the wall. It was gross, and can be a symbol of subpar cleanliness. The staff were all great, but the property is very old and worn looking. That said it has charm and good location. I guess I just feel that for a hefty price, it should have been cleaner and without the constant sound of a pipe not affixed to the bathroom wall.

We had a fabulous stay at Indigo Inn. It's perfectly located for visiting Charleston on foot in all directions. We loved the extra touches including the wine and cheese and cookies at bedtime. For many the parking is a bonus but for those travelling without a four-door five-seater pickup truck, it would have been nicer to utilise some of the fumey carpark for outdoor cafe seating.

$25 per night to park, pretty tiny rooms. It’s a bit rundown. I like that they always have ice water available (free). The breakfast & evening spread is quite impressive. Shout out to my girl Laquesha who makes sure you can bounce a dime off the bed!

In a great location for enjoying Charleston, but is this 3 star hotel really worth $400 per night? They offer a satisfying continental breakfast with quality items and, as well, a very enjoyable wine & cheese service in the late afternoon. The Queen rooms were well furnished too. But still, the nightly fee seems hard to justify.

We enjoyed our stay! The location for the price is great and is in easy walking distance to King St. shopping, the market, the Exchange and Provost Dungeon, carriage rides, and restaurants. We loved all the amenities and the Continental breakfast that we ate in the beautiful courtyard.

Great location, cute stay. They had a courtyard in the middle of the inn with plenty of seating. Lots of dining options and shopping close by. The staff was very friendly too! Loved the continental breakfast with plenty to choose from: bagels, pastries, muffins, cereal, and fruit. They had wine, fruit, and cheese at 5 pm and cookies and milk at 8 pm. Place could use a little love but we weren't staying there to stay in all day. We didn't have a vehicle and walked everywhere, except for ordering an uber to Folly Beach which was 20 minutes away. Would come here again!

This is an older building that looks almost like a green prison from the outside but has a lovely hidden courtyard inside. It's great in good weather, but when it rains, you're pretty much stuck in your room or the tiny lobby. Location is excellent. Property needs some capital improvements. Our room was right by the elevator and was very noisy in the morning that breakfast was shuttled down from the kitchen on the second floor to the little lobby on the first floor. Rooms are small, bathroom/shower designed for thin people.

This property is a perfect hotel for a visit to Charleston. Accessible, walkable, clean and right in the middle of the action. A little older but quaint and many extra amenities included.

I don’t know how on earth this property has the high ratings it does. The location is good, but the property itself is shabby and not worth half of what a typical night here costs. The only two upsides that I can think of are the location and the evening reception that they hold. There were some nice minis of wine and snacks But the room was terrible. This property was built in 1974 and I don’t think it’s been updated since. The room claimed to sleep 3, but unless you get a two bed room DO NOT book this for more than 2 people. There are very few outlets in the room because in 1974 you didn’t need them. As a result the lamps and alarm clock and the charging dock they set up are stretched to their limits. The alarm clock fell off the table twice in the night. Our bathroom had black mold in it, which I photographed and showed the manager (who admittedly was very accommodating). Our carpet was stained. Underneath the couch cushions was FILTHY. Obviously some guest liked this property. I thought it was a roughly 1.5 star motel in a decent location. I think I’m going to stick with the national brands from here on out. I’ve issued my warning, good luck if you ignore it.

This was our first time at the Indigo and I would highly recommend it! It is located on a quiet side street, and the rooms open to a beautiful courtyard with tables where you can sit and enjoy their complimentary breakfast as well as wine with cheese and crackers in the afternoon! The staff is extremely pleasant and our room was great! It was clean, well appointed with a decent size bathroom and very comfortable bed.

The place was incredible, it was walkable to everything and the staff was awesome. The only issue was there was a lot of noise in the morning everyday around from cleaning staff that woke me up. Other than that, we had no complaints and loved our stay!

The staff was very accommodating to us, as we arrived early and they cleaned our room so we could check in. They even made a room change request happen quickly. The evening wine and snacks and the continental breakfast were tasty (I'm sure the cookies and milk at night were too!). The location is great. Very walkable and convenient to downtown historic Charleston. One odd thing was that one of the cleaning staff tried to enter our room at 7:45am Sunday morning. We weren't checking out until Monday. Luckily I put the chain on the door so she realized not to enter. Otherwise, we had a nice visit.

The rooms are pristine and the courtyard is lovely, perfect for enjoying the continental breakfast and happy hour appetizers/drinks. The staff is courteous and the maids leave your room sparkling. This jewel is steps from the action (the market) and other attractions. Highly recommend.

Our stay at the Indigo Inn was absolutely amazing. They are centrally located to pretty much anywhere you want to go. We walked everywhere. They have their own parking lot so we didn’t have to park our car on the street. The courtyard was so quaint. Great for eating the complimentary breakfast or sipping coffee in the late evening and listening to the water fountain. I would recommend the Indigo Inn to anyone. We will definitely be returning.

Absolutely loved the staff and hospitality. Loved the waffle heated up at breakfast. Grateful for ease of parking. Traveled with a 15 month old who kept sticking his fingers in the low level air conditioning unit which had mold in it. Definitely not a modern hotel by any means.

Indigo is an independent hotel near the Charleston Market area. We enjoyed easy check-in, their evening wine & cheese hour, and good advice on nearby dining. Cozy, with good personality - not a glitzy chain. Loved it.

We stayed the weekend at the Indigo Inn and loved it. The courtyard was great for happy hour, breakfast and just hanging out. It was close to everything and the staff was super helpful.
