The property was clean, very well priced and hosts were polite. A good amount of table and kitchenware was supplied so you could easily cook for yourself. There were two coffee machines, one was broken however and the other was a pod machine but we didn’t bring pods. There were two areas of attention. Firstly, we stayed on the 8th floor in the 3 bedroom apartment. There was no air conditioning. To me this was a surprise as I don’t even check for a/c anymore as you just expect everywhere has it. This meant we had to have windows and doors open and the weekend we stayed the weather was poor so it was a choice between being hot or having very strong breezes and occasionally rain/mist blowing through the place. Supposedly a/c is being added slowly to the units but it makes a big difference. The other issue was the wifi didn’t appear to reach to our floor so we were on our own data. Not a big issue but makes it harder to use streaming services on the TV etc. I would stay here again if a/c was fitted as otherwise it appeared to be a very well run establishment. Nice pool area too.

The unit was very spacious and well appointed with everything we needed. Great views. The unit was clean, but it needed a good spring clean to clean window tracks, wardrobe tracks, fans and lights and skirting were very dusty. The basement parking was very tight and we had a medium sized car. Was evident from the car paint on the concrete posts that we were not the only ones who found it challenging. Would be a great holiday place for a family with young children.

Yep should always read the fine print. No air conditioning meant it was horrifically hot in the morning. Must have been at least 40 degrees with the sun directly frying the unit on the bedroom side from about 5 am to 7 am and still unbearably hot throughout the day. Learnt that lesson after the first night and slept with every possible door and window open. The noise in the morning cancelled out any real benefit in temperature. Still way too hot. The inside unit reeks of sweat and humidity. Otherwise, it’s in good dated condition. Carpets are pretty filthy really in high traffic areas. The designated car parking sport was a challenge with zero room for error in trying to get into the spot and then reverse out it. Saw other guests in nearby spots spend at least 10 mins trying to get out and they still hadn’t. Can not fault. Not relaxing at all given the heat situation. Would never stay there again. Needs air conditioning at a minimum. Many of the other units also have extra screens and shutters but not this one. Had to write the review as a clear warning to not book here unless you are used to being cooked while you sleep.

Hi Dean, property information clearly states no air conditioning. Admit the humidity was at its worse. Sea brezzes means air conditioning is not required for 98% of the year. If you had issues with parking then I would not let you drive my car. To state the carpets were filthy is a fake fact, you obvoiusly enjoy being a key board warrior. Thankfully; the Federal governement is introducing legislation to ensure angry people like you are more carfull with what you publish on the internet and 99% of our guests are happy with their stay with us.

Our apartment directly overlooked Golden Beach, it was our first time staying here and I would recommend. Walking paths close by were excellent and in good condition. Property manager friendly and very helpful as well.

Still trying to figure out how this place is rated as a 4 star "luxury" accommodation. Maybe I missed the memo that apartments are being rated now on a 10 star scale. Upon checking in we went straight to our room. The humidity hit us right away when we walked in....ok, no worries i will just put the aircon on. Except one small detail.....there was no aircon. I immediately called the manager, who was very nice when she was taking our credit card info however when i spoke to her on the phone to ask her about the aircon her answer was that nowhere did it state the place had air conditioning. Hmmmmm, im sorry for assuming a 4 star "luxury " accommodation had aircon.....how silly of me! She also very rudely mentioned something about me booking through a 3rd party (Expedia).....like it was a terrible thing. We did find one fan in the closet but guess what......yep, broken. Ok....so now we are stuck with paying a good amount of money for a "luxury" apartment with no aircon and no working fan but to add insult to injury, the internet was not working. she was quick to mention that it would be fixed weds. Thats great if it was Tuesday but it was Friday and we were leaving Sunday. Other issues....Lift call button was out of order in the car park, the sheets were like sand paper, any power outlets were behind beds and not easy to access. Don't be fooled by the pics and the other reviews.....this place is a joke!By far the worst place i have ever stayed at and will never return.

Hi Joe, Have read your commnts a number of times to formulate a reponse. In our industry the client is seen to be correct in 99% of cases and we take criticsim and repond positvely. You are obvoiusly an angry person who has twisted the facts to support your arrogant personality. (10 Star Comments) Facts: Riviere details listed on Expedia don't state units have air con but include ceiling fans in all rooms, you state a fan in a cupboard "Not True" no fans in cupboards/ strorage areas. I witnessed the conversation to you explaining all this, a very diplomatic reponse outlining the air con, ceiling fans and the internet. Unfortunetly maintenance issues do occur, we had action plans in place with technicans called to provide service, but on weekends they are in short supply to attend immediatly. Have shown your comments to a respected/ experienced industry person who agrees the nature of your comments are over the top. Have a nice life. Brian Walker Manager

Pentouse dated, needs painting, new carpet, shower heads, beds and bedroom furniture, broom, iron not hot enough, had to buy a new iron. Inside most of the draws are marked.Owner is updating having done the kitchen, dining table, lounge, coffee table and curtains. More needs to be done at the prices.

We loved the pool but that was about all we enjoyed about our stay. As soon as we walked into the apartment there was an extremely strong odour of cigarette smoke despite being a non smoking room. It stunk out the whole apartment and was worse in the main bedroom. We approached reception to inform them, only to be told the last group staying in the same room were 'smokers but only smoked on the balcony'. He did offer an air freshener which only masked the smell. We had already had to buy air freshener so this wasn't helpful. The bath and main toilet were not cleaned properley either (dust and hairs) and the overall feeling felt dirty. Added with the stench of stale cigarette smoke causing headaches (it was so strong it smelt like they had smoked inside during their stay). We ended up leaving early. Very underwhelming experience and definitely won't stay there again!

Suggest a more positive outcome could have occurred if you had contacted us when you checked in, you even acknowledged the smoke smell was in the walk-in wardrobe and probably from the previous guests clothes. As for cleanliness, I dispute as I checked the unit prior to your check in. We respect the review process and acknowledge we can't get it 100% correct all the time, but we also have to deal with negative people.

Spacious 3 bdrm apartment on 9th floor overlooking the beach. Decor dated but breathtaking views of the sea and Caloundra township. Comfortable and sunny with large deck for outdoor entertaining. Earthworks currently underway on beach below which was noisy during the day but finished by late afternoon. Lovely heated pool and outdoor bbq area which we did not get a chance to use but clean and well maintained. Friendly, helpful Manager. Would happily stay again.

Great place to relax, on the beach.
Great place to have a break from the rat race. Room was clean and well provided with amenities. Very well set out rooms. Great views. Staff very helpful. Very good to have the chance to relax.

Overlooked the beach and good facilities
The apartment was a good size with all the facilities you would expect. Close to the beach and local shops. Car parking good. However we hadn't been advised that the apartment next door was undergoing refurbishment so during the day it noisy, although the workmen were ok. When we asked the management why we had no info on this and when the work would be complete etc they weren't helpful. I had to find out for myself which was disappointing.

Hi, thanks for the positive comments, though we can't agree with your comments we were not helpful. I explained the work schedule was one extended a day with all noisy work completed the day of your arrival and that trades people would be accessing the unit and no disruption to you should occur.

Great for family holiday
The view was wonderful more than 180 degree views of the beach from living area, master bedroom and spa and 2nd bedroom deck and hinterland views from the other 2 bedrooms. only minutes to local shops etc. Little dated but still in great condition. Lovely managers. Great pool with BBQ area for the family. Plenty of car parks.

Relaxing short stay
Lovely uninterrupted view out over Bribie Island to the ocean. Watch the ships pass by and key an eye on the swans and eagles.

was lovely hotel, clean and very accommodating. Was close to all amenities. Only downfall could find as upstairs must have had tile floors you could hear the scraping of furniture but minor downfall. enjoyable stay and close to Caloundra for a nice meal. Room was ready on time so no waiting.

totally amazed from inside out
This motel was a surprise choice. From when we opened the door we were amazed at the design and fittings inside the apartment. The furniture, decor and carpet appeared to be new; and tastefully decorated. The balcony is accessible from the main and second bedrooms and the lounge room. Fantastic 180 degree views of the ocean, esplanade and Caloundra skyline. Plenty to watch from here. Its only a short drive to the main hub or shopping centre. There is a selection of food places in close proximity to the motel, plus a news-agency and convenience store. Ceiling fans throughout. However, it is not air-conditioned.

Great view, swim, canoe, fish
Fantastic view, fronts the Bribie Passage for swimming, canoeing, SUPing & fishing. Local shops, restaurants & cafes 200 meters away. Paths into Caloundra & along the passage for walking, cycling & jogging. Unit furnished beautifully & comfortably, well equipped kitchen, spa bath. Great pool area & BBQ. Would thoroughly recommend.
