Three star - air conditioning and a good pool. Rooms a good size. Good parking. We used the laundry and the BBQ area - all good.

No smoke alarm in my room. No hot water in shower. Terrible bed. Looks like it hasn't been updated in 50 years. No elevator on property. Really bad experience

I enjoyed my stay at the Paravista. It has an old style Darwin feel and was very quiet, cool and clean. Great location too.

Absolutely filthy and terrible customer service
I had a terrible stay. It was my birthday and my birthday plans were cancelled and delayed due to lockdowns. I finally made it out of a remote community to celebrate my birthday and sadly this stay was a huge disappointment. The property is absolutely filthy. From the moment you walk in the floors are dirty with rubbish, dirt, leaves every where. The first room I was given was disgustingly the shower drain was clogged with black hair. There was hair all over the room and the floors had clearly not been cleaned. I wiped down the benches and my white cloth turned brown quickly. The bedsheets had not been changed. I called and asked for new sheets. The man was very rude and seemed very put out. He asked me to show him what I was let happy with and he told me he couldn’t see any problems. He then said this isn’t the ritz what we’re you expecting. He said he wouldn’t give me nw sheets but he would give me a new room. This room was even worse condition with the white sheets stained by what looked like blood. It was fairly late and I had birthday dinner plans and asked him for new sheets. He told me that I could go and find another place that is more to my high standards. I don’t expect much just cleanliness. He said what do u expect for $70 a night? I said I paid $120 and that I expected clean sheets at the very least. He gave me the sheets but he was a very very rude man. I would not stay here again and I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone

I have absolutely no idea what you are talking about. Please give me more details so I can check up on it I know we had someone staying here in the last few weeks who complained about sheets and said they had to sleep in their sleeping bags and wanted a refund,they never complained when they checked in the afternoon before not til checking out.We went up to check the sheets and was nothing wrong and they had actually slept under the sheets.She said if we did'nt give a refund she would give a bad review.Have a feeling could be this woman

This property is basic but very clean and comfortable. Shared kitchen facilities available and a pool make this motel great value for money. Easy check in and handy location to sunday markets and city centre

The friendly helpful staff made our stay pleasant. The use of BBQ facilities was great. The pool good. Thanks for making our stay enjoyable. Location to City centre a winner especially being in a quiet location.

no hairdryer, no tissues, cockroach on floor, booked a cab from reception day before for the airport for early flight, asked twice if it would be there, was told would tell Dianne to book it, cab did not arrive by 5.45am when requested, luckily friends who were also staying there took us to the airport just in time for our flight.

Sorry you did not have a good stay.Tissues are an extra we provide but must have been overlooked as stated in your compendium hairdryers and microwaves are available on request.As for cockroach on floor this is the tropics and all we can do it put baits down which we do. As for cabs we can only order them which we did,we have no control over whether they come or not. All the other 24 odd guests in your group had a really good week and we got nothing but praise from them and most said they would definetley be coming back

This Motel is a bit remote if you don't have your own transport. Bathroom needs somewhere to put toiletries other than on the window ledge. Definitely needs a full time receptionist to inform guests of the sights, tours etc.

We are a couple running motel on our own.We do try to be at reception as much as possible but rooms have to be cleaned and laundry done.There is a mobile phone no at reception which we carry with us at all times.Also we have lots of brochures in reception showing tours and sights available

great budget hotel, very clean
The paravista motel is very close to bus stop into Darwin centre and in walking distance to the Parap city. The hotel rooms were exceptionally clean and the staff were always kind and welcoming. The pool was very convenient and refreshing. We had a great stay, for budget accomadation it was great but a bit dated. it was great how they cleaned your room so thoughrouly everyday and we really enjoyed our stay here.

close to race track
nice little hotel, good value, friendly staff, i believe built just before cyclone Tracey , well maintained. close to the Fannie bay race track. short walk to shops and nice cafe, walking distance to Pub as well, would recommend and would stay again, has tea and coffee making in room.

Nice hotel with lovely staff.
The motel had ant is the bathroom an the sheets an pillow cases were clean an washed but were a brown colour as if they needed to be soaked or washed in Nappy San. Woke up one morning itchy an scratching an had some small ants on the bed,told the receptionist nothing happened,,so under no circumstances will i be staying there again an will be telling people,,Also the bath was old an stains in the carpet an yet the prices they charge is terrible.I was there for my daughters wedding. This experience spoilt the whole occasion.

Thanks for your review Rick. I do believe you came down to tell me on the first morning that you were not happy with your sheets and I changed them all for you that very day. Unfortunately due to guests spilling all over the carpet we cannot avoid stains but they are spot cleaned daily and steam cleaned every couple of months. We also have a pest control plan in place but will pass this information onto our pest control company. The price of accommodation in Darwin is expensive at this time of year but we are one of the cheapest and we check daily to make sure that we stay that way. You seemed to have a lovely time at your daughters wedding so to say that it spoilt the whole occasion is a bit unfair. We appreciate your opinion and thank you for the feedback.

No cushions on outside chairs on verandah, LOLS we did just have a cyclone, big sliding exterior door to let the night air in, whilst its old worldish it theirs nothing missing or broken, 2 minute walk to shops, pub etc if u dont want the hustle and bustle of the city cant go past this place

Good location, clean and economical.
Close to the city, but away from the centre so nice and quiet. Also walking distance to Parap shops. Bit of a musty smell, but it's a Darwin icon, so adds to the charm. Room was very clean, bed comfy, everything you need at budget price.

A Pleasant Stay
We enjoyed an older motel with a very quiet, large room with balcony at the back of the motel on a quiet street. Within walking distance to trendy Parap Village with its great restaurants and shops. The motel staff were wonderful - very warm and helpful.
