버스정류장은 가까우나
나쁘진 않았으나 전반적으로 조금씩 불편했다. 짐보관이 따로 안되서 로비에 가방을 두어야했다. 미니바라고 했으나 커피포트는 녹슬어서 사용하지 못했다.

バス停が目の前で、たいへん便利。中央駅からバス12分、フィルハーモニーまではバス停2つ分。 昔のお金持ちのお屋敷に泊めていただいているような、アンティークな雰囲気が良かった。建物の構造上、リフトが中2階で止まり、2階へも3階へも階段を使わなければならない、というところが惜しい。

一間很復古的酒店，但位置不太好
在中央火車站(hbf)坐M85巴士可直達酒店，但因酒店不近地鐵站，走去最近地鐵站(postdam plaza)要成15分鐘，出去都要坐完巴士再轉地鐵。因為酒店附近只有幾家餐廳,，酒店和賭場，其餘甚麼都沒有，如超市等。酒店早餐種類很少，且都不好吃，我在這住了三晚，床頭燈燈泡壞了由check in開始跟前台說了三次都沒有換到，服務真差!

Very convenient hotel with charm
The hotel was good value for money and excellently placed near Potsdamer Platz and many sights were within robust walking distance. It also had excellent transport links to the airports with trains, buses and UBahn nearby. There was plenty of modestly priced eating nearby and two excellent, cheap restaurants serving German specialities practically next door. Our room was very large with a 4 poster bed, Chaise, 2 armchairs desk etc. However it was to the front which was noisy. We thought of asking to move to the back but enjoyed the fading elegance of the room so much that we decided to put up with the traffic noise. We got used to it. The hotel fittings are not modern but it had a certain fading elegance and all the essentials worked very well, our room also had tea and coffee making facilites. The staff were very efficient and helpful. We thought the Altberlin excellent value for money and not the usual sterility of modern chains.

This could be a great value hotel.
This place is charming. Well located to most of Berlin's attractions and reasonable rates. Unfortunately, I concur with earlier comments, to the effect that reception staff are at best indifferent and one is downright rude. Such a shame.

Consigliato a chi ama lo stile retro/vintage, la tranquillità (la nostra camera dava sul giardino interno, quindi silenziosissima) e la vicinanza a uno dei punti meglio collegati della città. Personale discreto ma un pò sbrigativo.

Frustrating
The receptionist of the afternoon is so rude, that it is unbelievable. The hotel cannot be sold as "has elevator" because you still have a high staircase to climb with the luggage. The WiFe is rare and they tell you, we know there is a problem. If you need WiFi don't go. Hard to recommend this hotel.

Conveneint, clean and freindly hotel
A very pleasant family run hotel. A very sympathetic and practical upgrade of a historic building. Room very comfortable and quiet. Buffet breakfast excellent. Well placed for access to many Berlin city highlights and attractions, and lots of public transport options. Staff excellent. Overall Hotels.com value excellent.

Det enda positiva med detta hotell är läget.......inget hotell jag skulle rekommendera .....delar av den kvinnliga personalen var helt ointresserad......trodde att jag hade blivit osynlig vid incheckningen..... man fick göra personalen uppmärksam på att man hade anlänt. Frukost ok men inte till priset som erbjöds....hotellet allmänt slitet..men som vanligt..... man får vad man betalar för..... Nästa Berlinvistelse lägger jag till några hundralappar för hotellboendet. Jag har bott på flera hotell i Berlin .......detta ( Altberlin) återkommer jag inte till.

En del personal var väldigt tråkig, ej serviceminded. Hotellet stängde sin bar/restaurang fredagskvällen pga av ett arrangemang på hotellet . Kunde inte ens förse sina betalande hotellgäster med en av deras underbara försköl från eftermiddag till in på natten.. dålig service.

Shabby chic or in need of modernisation
A bit off the beaten track in an "improving" area but buses stop right outside so just five minutes from Potzdammer Platz itself. A lap dancing club opposite adds(?) to the charm. Rooms are all different but largely generous and high ceiling end; our bathroom was a shower room only and compact but adequate; brass/iron bed was very comfortable and possessed fairy lights! Reasonably quiet considering it is on a main road. Depending on your point of view, charming or decrepit; I loved it. The staff all speak English and are very obliging.

Better than your normal modern box room hotels..
This nice little hotel is 10-15 mins walk from Potsdamer Platz. It has an older charm, not your run-of-the-mill modern boxroom. We booked a regular room and ended up with a small suite. Comfortable, spacious, clean and warm.

God til prisen og god beliggenhed
Vælg hotellet for pris og beliggenhed. Gå-afstand til mange af Berlins seværdigheder og med gode offentlig transport muligheder. Selve hotellet er en underlig blanding af museum/1900'er tema og af faktisk at være et velholdt gammelt hotel. Vælg værelse væk fra gaden og spis morgenmad på én af gadens cafeer/morgenmadssteder. Gaden, som hotellet ligger på, er et funky mix af low-end/high-end butikker/restauranter/beværtninger, og værd at gå på opdagelse på.

Hotel with Potential but not so great
The Hotel has potential however the upkeep is poor. The staff attitude needs severe adjustment, Germany or not when a guest ask a question the reception staff should not roll their eyes at them, it's plain rude in every corner of the planet. The room had a crack between the celing and the wall. The minifridge to at least cool water did not work, the bathroom shower was clogged, the curtain dirty and the toilet almost underneath the sink. Not to mentioned the room is located on a busy street and the room had a bus stop in front of it. The room was warm so we try to open the window to get air but the noise from the party people was infallible. The tip of the iceberg was when one night we decide to eat at the hotel restaurant and the staff proceed to tell us ot was closed for private guests. Nevermind I'm a guest or the other guests, apparently we don't matter if we spent money to stay in your hotel. Overall I would not recommend this hotel.

We really enjoyed our stay in what is a great hotel. If you are looking for an identikit chain hotel the this is not for you. If however you are looking for character and charm then you can't go wrong.

Der Empfang war recht freundlich, positiv zu bewerten ist, das das Zimmer schon "fertig" war. Leider ist das mobiliar veraltet, der Fernseher war defekt. Am schlimmsten war jedoch die Sauberkeit. Die Fugen in der Dusche waren schimmelig, und das Kopfkissen war gelb als ob etwas darauf "ausgelaufen" wäre. Schade, denn die Lage ist super zentral, und auch der Charme der Location (von aussen) ist angenehm. Leider hat es das Hotelteam nicht geschafft, mir eine Rechnung auszustellen, trotzdem ich das in 4 Telefonaten zu klären versucht habe.

Quirky place
We stayed here because of the good location, reasonable price and quirky interiors. We were not disappointed by any of the three! It's an interesting place to stay, and is very clean and tidy. The staff are available 24h which is handy, but they weren't particularly chatty or friendly. We didn't eat in the restaurant as it was closed the 2 nights we were there, so can't comment. Positives: - very clean - staff available 24h - free wifi - large rooms with high ceilings - decent location - 10 minutes walk to Potsdamer Platz, where there are plenty of restaurants and bars The only negatives to flag which lead to the 3/5 rating are: - the beds were uncomfortable - very soft mattresses, and the pillows are basically a large bag of feathers, so it's difficult to stay there for more than 2 nights - the rooms facing the road are noisy, as it's a main road with traffic and sirens all night

Nettes Hotel - aber mit extrem lauter Straßenseite
Zimmer trotz früher Anmeldung und Bitte um ein ruhiges Zimmer zum Innenhof direkt an der Potsdamer Straße - einer der meistbefahrenen und lautesten Hauptverkehrsstraßen in Berlin. Keine Klimaanlage, wodurch die Nächte - bei offenem Fenster oder stickendheißem Raumklima - zur Tortur wurden. So nett altmodisch das Hotel auch eingerichtet ist, kann es diesen grevierenden Nachteil einfach nicht wettmachen. Wenn widere, dann nur mit garantiertem Zimmer zum Innenhof!

Zurück in die Vergangenheit
Man fühlt sich wirklich in das alte Berlin von früher zurückversetzt, zumindest was die Rezeption, das Personal, die schicke Bar und die Speisekarte des Restaurants angeht. Betreffend Zimmer sollte man für besonderen Charme wohl eher eines der Salonzimmer wählen, welche dann aber gegen die Strasse sind. Die ruhigen Zimmer gegen den Hof sind etwas normalere Zimmer und kleiner, immer noch gross genug. In der Umgebung Richtung Kurfürstenstrasse gibt es interessante Restaurants und Cafés zu entdecken, auch einen extravaganten Hutladen. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Hotel mit altem Flair
Dem Aufenthalt zu Grunde lag ein Besuch den Blue Man Theaters, welches sich am Potsdamer Platz befindet. Daher war die Buchung von zwei Zimmern auch nur für eine Nacht. Zwei Sachen waren nicht so schön. Dies ist zum Einen, das der Kfz-Stellplatz sehr umständlich zu erreichen und zum Zweiten, das es in der Nacht auf Grund der vor dem Hotel entlang führenden Hauptstraße durchweg sehr laut war.
