Thanks very much for taking the time to leave us your feedback - we've already put a brighter bulb in the room thanks to it :-) Our Economy Double room is indeed further from bathrooms than our standard Doubles, but does mean we ask less for it for those prioritising their budget. Whilst we do like being a small and sociable lodge, making sure our guests get a good night's sleep is absolutely a priority and we do take it very seriously so it's not alright that it carried to your room and we're sorry we could've done better! Glad you liked our clean and comfy home-away-from-home though and hope we can welcome you in again some day!

Kia Ora, Yes we are lucky to boast that this hostel is a bunk free zone. Our dorm is equipped with comfortable single beds. The dividing walls make our dorm feel like a private room. Being close to the airport bus is super handy as a lot of our guests are in Christchurch flying in or out. Kind regards,

Hi Thank you for taking the time to leave feedback about our lodge. As we do not allow guests under 18 years of age there is no concern around under age drinking at this hostel. As we are a very popular, small establishment we cannot guarantee the room of your choice or budget will be available unless you book in advance unfortunately. Hi Murray, Thanks for your review. I'm very sorry to hear you didn't have hot water for one of your showers. We have Gas hot water, so it does run out when the bottle runs out, however this a very quick fix as we always have a spare bottle ready to go. Thanks for your comments about finding the Lodge at night. We are looking into some more lights/signage, so it's easier to see from the road.
