Emplacement idéal à Rethymno
Accueil extra chaleureux par Iro, qui tient cette affaire de famille. Personnalité riche, dans cet immeuble ancien plein de charme, très bien situé près de tous les lieux intéressants de Rethymno, dans un secteur calme derrière un très bon restaurant. Notre chambre en rez-de-chaussée était calme et fonctionnelle. Nous avons apprécié l’eau chaude et la pression suffisante de l’eau, les petites attentions et toutes les informations mises à disposition. Le rapport qualité prix est excellent. Le roof top avec une vue imprenable sur la ville, un plus très appréciable.

Nice place to stay in Old Town Rethymno
A great location on the northeast edge of the old town and very close to (paid) parking lot. It's clean, quiet and convenient to everything in old town. This time we stayed on the ground floor which you might prefer if you have trouble climbing stairs.
Kitchenette with small refrigerator and tabletop oven/hotplate
Comfortable bed :)

Warmherziger Empfang und tolle persönliche Betreuung durch Gastgeberin während des gesamten Aufenthalts. Das Gebäude ist sehr alt und hat ein tolles Flair mit lauschigen Ecken, in denen man gemütlich sitzen kann. Einrichtung des Studios modern und Studio sehr geräumig und gut ausgestattet. Toller Blick von der Dachterrasse über die Stadt. Wir sind sicher, dass wir wieder kommen.

Barbara Studios is amazing! Our apartment was exactly what we needed, a home away from home, with a sea view from our private balcony - we were upgraded from a ground floor apartment to top floor so that we had the balcony. The property is bigger than expected but the layout ensures privacy at all times. Fantastic location, a short stroll to the old town and the beach is just up the road. We already want to go back!

Meget fornøyd med oppholdet!
Oppholdet på Barbara Studios var over all forventning. Beliggenheten er helt ypperlig, midt i gamlebyen men i en rolig gate så det var ikke noe støy fra omgivelsene. Rommet hadde høy standard og det var rent og ryddig både på rommet og resten av hotellet. Servicen var 10/10. Panos var fleksibel og imøtekommende, og ga oss gode anbefalinger til hva vi kunne gjøre i Rethymno. Vi kommer definitivt til å dra tilbake til Barbara Studios.

Excellent interaction with Panos, a nice, amiable guy who simply aims to please. The place is clean, very well kept up, pleasant, comfortable, and located just steps from the beautiful Venetian port. Panos has honest, helpful suggestions for local dining and activities. A wonderful place to stay.

Wonderful time in a picture perfect spot
A charming, cosy place within easy walking distance of all sights, restaurants and transport. Run by a lovely friendly couple with very nice staff.Balcony room was beautiful and little extras such as topping up coffee and sweet treats further added to this delightful experience. Smells lovely too. Highly recommended.

Right in the center but very calm
Nice apartment in the center of Réthymnon. Everything is accessible within walking distance. Despite this perfect location the place is very quiet. It would be good to serve breakfast but being in the city center it’s easy to find nice places by yourself. The host is full of good advices

Perfect getaway
After a long journey, Panos’ welcome was just what we needed! Beautiful, clean mezzanine studio with everything we could need, including a well-equipped kitchenette. The only drawback was that we were only there for 2 nights and would have loved to have stayed longer to explore the area more.

Authentic old builfing in great location
Authentic old venetian/ottoman/cretian home that is located in the heart of the city. Our host Panos greeted us warmly and gave us information about the old city. It is a bit confusing finding the hotel the first time because it is loacted in a short street near a catholic church and cannot be accessed by car. We had no trouble finding parking on the adjacent street- and there are also other free parking lots close by. I would recommend the meze restaurants near the old mosque. They have great authentic food. All in all, Rethymno is a beautiful city and Barbara studios is ideally suited to enhance your experience!

Great find and best location
Absolutely loved to stay at Barbara's studios, the ouse itself is beautiful and you feel as if you are a local in their garden. The location is superb, walking distance to the old port, the fortezza and all the lovely streets of the old city. The owners are the best, so nice and friendly and happily recommend the best places to see and eat to avoid the tourists traps. Would love to stay there again in the future!

läget är perfekt om man vill bo centralt men det är minst 15-20 min promenad till stranden. Fantastiskt bemötande av ägarna och de är mycket tillmötesgående men rummet vi hade var inte roligt. märklig möblering och till exempel saknas hängare i badrummet. och i köket fanns bara mycket enkla redskap. I badrummet var det ständigt blött på golvet, läckage fr toaletten ?

Nice rooms in the heart of Rethymno
Barbara Studios offers nice and affordable rooms in the heart of Rethymno. I had a calm, tidy and cozy mini appartment, with a small kitchen area and fridge. The caring hosts do a great job and give advice (for sights and restaurants) and help if needed. A rooftop terrace and "chill-out" areas in the courtyards make the house (with about 15 rooms) a comfy space. I really enjoyed my stay there and can warmly recommend it to those who look for alternatives to "normal" hotels.

Hotellet blir drevet et fantastisk sjarmerende par, de gjør sitt ytterste for at du skal trives og hjelper deg gjerne for at oppholdet ditt skal bli best mulig. Very nice stay
We originally planned to stay in Rethymno for a night. However, upon arriving at the hotel which was located at the heart of the old city, we quickly changed our mind. The owner welcomed us to his hotel and hometown of which be would share several tips. We got a cozy room with a small kitchen, å bathroom and a separate bedroom. The hotel had several floors, and you also have the chance to catch a glimpse of the city's view on the rooftop. Due to its localition, we were lucky to eat at many restsurants with good local food. I would say that these options are better than the touristy restsurants on the beach/coast strip. Altogether it was a very pleasant stay, and we would definetly have stayed for more than two nights if we could have:)

Originelle Unterkunft in toller Lage
Die Unterkunft liegt mitten in der lebendigen Altstadt von Rethymno. Dennoch ist man mit wenigen Schritten am Meer. Das antike Haus ist liebevoll und zweckmäßig restauriert und mit allem Notwendigen ausgestattet.

What we offer for a snack in our rooms, is not considered as lunch or breakfast. It's just a free offer coming from our hearts, to all our guest as a welcome gift. Beautiful roof terrace
Most hotels on Crete are really old. This studio is so much better. It's beautiful and comfortable. I recommend drinking a bottle of wine on the roof terrace at night. You have a view of the harbor, castle and old town. The owner spent 20min to give us advice.

Ägaren och hans fru var mycket tillmötesgående och trevliga och hjälpsamma lägenheten var mysigt inredd , rent och snyggt och det fanns kaffe och te på rummet och kakor och juice idyllen och det fanns även Raki om man ville ha .Om man skulle lämna hotellet sent ,så fanns det en liten toalett och dusch som man kunde använda .Det låg i gamla staden så allt fanns utanför .Sen ett måste man äta en av dom bästa hamburgare på MOjOS på samma gata som Barbera studios

Geschmackvolle rustikale Unterkunft
Barbara Studios liegt in einer verkehrsfreien Gasse inmitten der historischen Altstadt, ca. 5 min. vom venezianischen Hafen und ca. 10 min. von der Festung entfernt, kostenlose Parkplätze waren immer an der Küstenstraße unterhalb der Festung in ca. 7 Gehminuten zu finden, gefrühstückt haben wir meist im Cafe Arkaria in der Parallelstraße Salaminos in ca. 5 Gehminuten entfernt, die Gastgeber sind überaus freundlich und gern zum small talk bereit, im Kühlschrank finden sich täglich frischer Saft und diverse, meist selbstgefertigte Leckereien, die Zimmer sind geschmackvoll im rustikalen Stil hergerichtet, sie sind sehr sauber und in gepflegtem Zustand, Sehr empfehlenswert für Einzelreisende und Paare

Très bon séjour. l'accueil est très chaleureux. L'emplacement idéal, proche du port du centre ville et de la plage et pourtant l’hôtel reste étonnamment calme. La terrasse est on ne peut plus agréable pour prendre un verre et discuter le soir comme la journée. À recommandé.

Excellent Location in old town Rethymno
The proprietor is friendly and accommodating. The location is very convenient, except for navigating the narrow 'streets' and finding parking. The free parking offered by Barbara Studios is actually public parking several blocks away (which is in fact disclosed in the directions for finding it). There is pay parking about a block away which can be had for €8 day if you pay in advance for multiple days. The pay parking also makes it a little easier to come and go.

Good studios .Everywhere was very close .Excellent
Wonderful old buildings plus historical interest.Lively town and good town beach if required.Easy buses to places out of town and also to go hiking.

Nice and clean small hotel in the city center
Very nice family hotel with a very helpfull owner. The room had everything we needed, and it was very very clean! Also the location is good. In two minutes you are in the tourisitc center of the city. Only the walls are not very thick, so if you like to sleep long take some earplugs with you;)

Un endroit charmant et un accueil chaleureux
Très bel endroit bien aménagé avec une terrasse sur le toit très agréable. Quartier calme un peu à l'écart, mais juste à côté du port vénitien et de l'animation de la ville. Accueil très chaleureux; Seul bémol, la difficulté à aérer la chambre, la température était caniculaire et celle de la chambre à peine moins chaude.
