The person at the front desk was very kind; however, after walking into my room, that had been recently remodeled, I picked up my stuff, returned my key and found lodging in another place. The windows did not have locks on them. Being on the first floor this was not something I was willing to try and ignore. The side lock was pulled out of the door and not replaced. While the lock on the doorknob seemed to work, I was not willing to try and ignore it. I was offered a "different room" but was not going to try another room. The entire hotel appeared to be run down and not safe. The 100.00 I paid for the room was not returned because it was a "no cancellation" room. And honestly, I am okay with that.

I ordered a room with a jetted tub. I went to use the tub and black s$/t spewed out of the jets. The sink was plugged and they put a trash can under it to catch the water. They did know about it because when I checked in a woman claiming to be house Keeping knocked and said she left her rags there. Then reached under the sink and pulled some wet rags out and slid a trash can under. It was late when I found out about these conditions so I just went to bed. I would never recommend anyone stay here. I don’t think even roaches would care to stay there. Never ever again

DO NOT STAY HERE! This hotel is extremely poorly managed and has some of the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. When I pulled in, it was poorly lit and obviously under construction with the manager’s family treating it like their personal living/dining room. It smelled like old food and smoke, and no one bothered to greet me. Then, when I managed to get someone’s attention, they told me my reservation was canceled. I informed them that was incorrect because I hadn’t received any communication stating the reservation was canceled and they basically told me that was my problem and to find another place to stay. Absolutely no effort to make any concessions or help on their part means I will NEVER stay here or encourage anyone else to stay here. They do not deserve our business! Luckily Expedia has great customer service and refunded me my whole amount. I’m glad I booked through them!

When I showed up all the rooms were booked and they said I wasn't even in the reservation system!! I'm now calling around trying to find a room during one of the busiest weeks of the year in Hayward WI. I'm not a happy camper.

Staff was friendly, but the room was dirty the shower curtain rod was broke and the sink leaked water when you used the sink, and only two towels were available for the room.

The pictures displayed on Expedia did not even remotely resemble where a person was going to stay at. The hotel is under renovation and one must stay instead at the motel on the same property which, to be kind, is in a state of disrepair. Also, breakfast was supposed to be included in the rate but we were informed upon check-in this was not possible. While I appreciate the issues related to the place being under renovation, the site should have disclosed all of these items while I was booking on Expedia because I would not have chosen to stay here.

Should have stayed anywhere else.
Missing outlet covers. Carpet in the hallway was filthy. No coffee maker in the room. No hair dryer 1 bath towel for 2 people. Nobody managed the desk. No house keepers. Was not handicap accessible.

The area by it was good. The needles and baggies surrounding the property was a turn off. Our door looks like it was kicked in, windows had no screens. The whole place smelt like I was sitting in an ashtray. It was 90 degrees even with the heat off. Never will I ever stay at an amerivu again in my life.

The pool was cold and dirty, hot tub cold, fridge didn't work. 2 towels for a 4 person room. Room wasn't the cleanest. Staff wasn't always available.

This was by far the grossest place I've ever stayed in and nothing worked. No breakfast (which they advertise is available), no working ice machine, no working fridge in the room, no working coffee maker in the room. Layers of stains and hairs on each level of the bedding including pillowcases. I slept in my hoodie on top of the bedding.

Construction material in handicap parking spot
My husband has a temporary handicap parking permit. We were a little perturbed to see a pile of construction materials piled in the only handicap spot in the lot. This is a federal violation. As long as we park in a spot where we can keep a clear spot outside his door, to allow room for his long legs, we can make things work, but not everyone can! It looked like the materials had been piled there for a while.

Appears that the hotel was up for sale. They seem to be doing some remodeling. Rooms were clean but also needed to be updated. They appeared to be short staffed and overworked

Worst Hayward Wisconsin hotel
Very old and outdated, no heat in room,pool and hot tub down and lots of all night traffic in uncontrolled building. Worst hotel ever!!

We were very disappointed that the pool and hot tub were unusable for some unknown reason and there wasnt anything about it on their website. Rooms were clean but the bathrooms are extremely small. You almost have to step into the shiwer just to close the door. You can tell they are in the process of trying to make it look nicer than it really is. Had we not already paid online for our room we probably would have gone to another hotel.

No working pool, no free breakfast, no fire detector in room, no heat( they knew it was not working) gave us the room anyway— got a space heater. No garbage can, no microwave...sheets were “ kool aid “ stain. Way over paid, no refund of any kind... says it was the 3 party's way of doing business...DONT USE EXPEDIA OR STAY AT AMERIVU INN IN HAYWARD!!!

They had been closed. The pool and hot tub weren't open. The hot water baseboard heat was off, so they gave us a noisy electric heater.

Only As A Last Resort
I arrived on a Friday for a one night stay and the front desk help told me at 4:00pm that my room was not ready as she herself had 22 rooms to clean. She also indicated they had to evict many homeless people Friday for the weekend. I commend them for housing homeless, but it is not comforting to hear that some of these folks create trouble when asked to leave. As for the room, it was extremely hot and I could not control the hot water heat. It had been -35F earlier in the week and I suppose they were trying to prevent any freezing plumbing, but I was cooked. The property looked like it was under refreshment and there is a FOR SALE sign up.

No hot water for a shower when it is -16 degrees outside is not a good thing. No explanation or apology given as to the cause.

Do Not Stay here!
Run down and dirty. For almost a hundred a night, towels would be nice. But the place was so gross we didnt want to use the showers. Just dont. There are alot of hotels and motels in the area.

Good for the price
Called phone number given to check in. Service was prompt, but the man who checked us in was not wearing a mask. Room was clean and ready with plenty of towels. I had prepaid my room and was given a receipt with my room key. The receipt, however, was not mine. didn't discover until I'd returned home. Pool and breakfast were not available due to COVID, of course.

Hotel could use some updates. Place appears very dated. Very small bathroom and sink. It was very warm in the room and there was no temperature control. Luckily it’s winter, and we opened the window to get cool air. Because of Covid, no breakfast or pool or ice. Parking lot icy. Maybe no wifi- we didn’t get any info from the front desk and so we weren’t able to get any homework done. Place was clean and fine for short stays, but do not expect much!

The first room I was checked into was very smokey smelling. She moved me into another room. This hotel needs money put into it the pool and hot tub were broke. The wall thermostat for my heat was broke off the wall and the battery had been removed from the smoke detector. I know why this hotel is up for sale!

I understand that the building was going through a remodel but it didn't seem as though the manager knew what was going on. She went to check on our room, she went outside and when she came back in said our room was ready but then took us upstairs to the second floor. Told us that the pervious occupants had smoked in the room. The TV in the room didn't work and when we called the front desk the phone didn't work either. Had to call a different number and the person who answered wasn't friendly and seemed annoyed we called. Finally when someone came to look at the TV they couldn't fix it and said that it would take him a while to get the parts and wasn't sure if that would work. So we just said forget it. I would assume when cleaning a room they would check to make sure everything worked in the room. Staff did not look professional had maintenance/cleaning outside smoking in front of the building with pajama pants on and hoodie. Working in loss prevention was shocked to see cameras with wires hanging down which anyone could easily unplugged and disconnect and you would never know who turned off your security. As of right now we won't return to this facility due to the unpleasant stay.

We arrived at 8pm and was greeted with someone who was walking inside from just having a cigarette. She asked if we were checking in and asked for my last name. She then informed me that my room wasn't ready and that they were waiting for the sheets to dry. She asked if we were planning on using both of the queen beds and that if we weren't, we could go in because one of the beds was ready. The man who was behind the front desk began complaining about having to clean 42 other rooms after we questioned our reserved room not being ready for us. Everything was out of order including vending machines, swimming pool and hot tub. The thermostat was turned to the lowest setting but felt like a sauna when we were finally upgraded to a king size bed due to a prior cancellation. The floor looked like it hadn't been vacuumed in a while. And there was a tree shaped air freshener hanging on the backside of the bathroom door. No one wore masks and there were no precautionary measures being taken due to covid. I would highly recommend finding a different place to stay.

First room had hair on sheets and pillowcases, went to desk to ask for new sheets, she gave us the jacuzzi suite-happy for this. But thesheets i took one and showed the lady. Asked again for new sheets. Linen room adjacent to our room, I waited for the sheets, but out of sight in hall. Someone else came in room with balled yp sheets-fuessing f3om o4iginal roo. Tgis lady went on a little rant and swearing session about how second room jad hait and she coyoen't find antmorw king sheeta. She eventuallt found aime in another xloset, brought them to our new room, and as handing them over said she "guaranteed these wer3 clean, it was just the deyer ot something". Well....get a new deyer or inspect sheeta firat. We. Hanged the aheets, went ti bathroom. Hair on floor and walls of shower. Just kept socks on, had complained enough. Heat in room dien't work, husband went to deak, evidentally they had not turned heat on yet in the eoom (water basevoard h3at). The guy explained to my husband hiw to flup answitch on the register, heat stull dis not work. Thank goodness for the jacuzzi tub because we wndes up filling with the hott3at of 2ater to heat room both nighta (it deopped to below freezing both nights). When out suring day never r3fr3ahed with clean towels or wmyptied small trash can, sis not redresh coffee suppliea. Towels and washclothes we had were stained with black-kinda looked like shop rags. Outside of eoom in hall was a approx 1 footx 1 foot black 2ater stain that lookedmoldy
