My Hotel Kempton Kolkata Home
Hotel Kempton was as good this stay as it ever has been. The staff are welcoming and always available to help with any need. They make you feel at home. The food is amazing, from the great breakfast to the amazing choices on the room service menu. I will never stay any place else in Kolkata.

Very good location. Everything is close. The restaurant was good as well. The lift was too small. It kind of created a suffocation. Otherwise good place to stay.

Etter fullført booking, i en liten bisetning som jeg tilfeldigvis oppdaget ble det opplyst om at hotellet ikke har en respsjon og ankomsten må avtales på forhånd. Likevel var det en slags resepsjon på dagtid og inn/ utsjekking var uproblematisk. Hotellet ligger i en forholdsvis 'stillere' gate i ellers veldig travel og skitten strøk med en del løshunder som ikke er noe hyggelig sak om natten. Rommet og fasiliteter er så som så, men antakelig ganske ok sammenlignet med mye annet som tilbys i India. Har du sjansen, ta heller 4-stjerner og oppover i en vestlig kjede for å unngå skuffelser. Dette passer kun når alle andre alternativer er utilgjenglige som på våre datoer. Komfort for betalt krone er ikke noe skryte av her, men det var i alle fall et sted å være de dagene i måtte tilbringe i denne byen. Virkeligheten er en god del slitnere enn på bilder hos expedia. Ha med ekstra rull med dopapir om hotellet glemmer å etterfylle som i vårt tilfelle.

I booked executive room,but they provide me premium room.As it was at the front,too much noise at night and it was difficult to sleep. Overall nice location,nice breakfast and nice available meal for other times.Employees are well behaved.

The room should have facial tissue paper. I came to know that it is not there in the inventory! In most of the 4 Star & below hotels do not keep it. But we know its necessit. Goof to mention about the class behavior by all the staffs.... amazing. For them, I would be a repeated guest here. Food quality is another sector to mention specially the sumptuous breakfast with varieties.

Nice and ok for the price. Breakfast not impressive. The worst thing was several unwanted phonecalls from the restaurant trying to push me to order some room service. At 10pm😬😬😬

I has registered my kids while booking but during during checking they asked me extra money for the kid's occupancy. The rooms are really small and not worth the money. We got an extra bed but that collapsed as soon as we sat on it. Overall a horrible experience.

I always love staying at the Kempton. The staff always makes me feel so at home. And their food is fantastic as well. A better location cannot be found.

The Customer service is very prompt, staff are all friendly, the rooms were tidied every morning and the main attraction was the breakfast. There were quite variety of food and choices. I will recommend this hotel to friends and family.

zentrale Lage, unweit vom Garden Eden, gutes Frühstücksbuffet, geräumiges Zimmer und für die Altstadtlage ziemlich ruhig. Sehr guter Service und große Hilfsbereitschaft, allerdings sprechen nicht alle Englisch! Kein Warmwasser aus dem Handwaschbecken; Zimmerreinigung muss täglich beauftragt werden, damit nicht ungebetene "Gäste" Zutritt haben! Zeitweise kein WLAN Access.

Hotellvistelse mitt i smeten
Hotellet för dig som vill ha närhet till Kolkatas kaotiska hjärta. Trafiken och tempot tar andan ur dig. Magiskt läge - Indian museum, New Market, Subway o hard rock café alldeles intill. Dock var hotellet i dyraste laget för jag fann fräschare hotell på andra orter till halva priset. Men frukosten på Kempton var enastående.

Avoid a horrible experience.
Hotel has hit rock bottomr.avoid staying at this run down dirty filthy place. Only thing going well is the kindness of the staff.

Een barrage aan geluid in een anders OK hotel
Het voornaamste tekort aan dit hotel is de hoeveelheidl lawaai in een anders degelijk hotel met vriendelijk personeel. In tegenstelling tot wat online te vinden valt, is dit hotel een driesterren hotel en niet viersterren. Dat gezegd zijnde valt het hotel wel mee ware het niet voor de flinterdunne muren en veel te kleine ontbijtruimte. Door de dunnen muren en openingen onder en boven de kamerdeur hoor je alles wat er in de hal gebeurt zoals een huilende baby and gasten die luid praten. dit heeft als gevolg dat het moeilijk is om de slaap te vatten voor middernacht. Een goede nachtrust is erg belangrijk waardoor dit hotel eigenlijk niet aan te raden valt. Als hierbij ook nog een veel te kleine ontbijtruimte, een beperkte keuze voor het ontbijt en onstabiel internet bij meerekent, is het moeilijk om echt positief te zijn over het hotel, ookal is het personeel vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Samengevat kan ik zeggen dat het doenbaar is voor een paar dagen gezien de prijs maar als je een ander hotel vind voor een vergelijkbare prijs, kan je dit hotel negeren.

Comfortable Respite
The Kempton Hotel is a lovely oasis in the middle of a warn part of Kolkata. The best part is the experience was the staff and we were greeted warmly with each interaction and the tended to us beautifully. The room was comfortable and clean. The morning breakfast was very nice too! All in all a very good experience. Ps - we were a bit concerned about some of the reviews prior to our visit but they did not apply to our experience.

Nice hotel close to cbd
Excellent service with comfortable and clean rooms. Since it’s close to all the shopping malls the location is very convenient. Breakfast was exceptionally good with a variety of options.

great stay and quiet nights sleep
hotel got us checked in super fast. Our room was clean and comfy and quiet! Had the best sleep of our trip at this place. Wifi worked great from the lobby and had a decent breakfast buffet to go along with it. Great customer service and will stay again!

Nice hotel close to the shopping area and city.
Hotel is new and clean. Staff are very welcoming and service is good. It is a bit pricey for 3.5 star rated hotel. Breakfast is good and included in the rate. Overall it's a good hotel and we liked it.

Businesshotel in Stadtmitte
Das Hotel sitz in einer Nebenstrasse in wenigen gehminuten von Indian Museum und der Suder Street entfernt. Freundliches und hilfsbereites Personal. Jedoch wird leider kein Flughafenshuttel angeboten (auf E-Mailanfragen wurde nicht geantwortet). Jedoch funktionierte es auch mit dem Prepaid Taxi am Flughafen (auch am späten Abend). Das Hotel hat eigentlich eine gute Lage und entspricht einem indischen Dreisternehaus. D.h. Westeuropäer müssen hier Abstriche machen. Z.B. gibt es keinen Schallschutz bei den Türen. Also kriegt man alles von draussen mit. Für Stadtbesuche ist dieses Business-Hotel aber auf jeden Fall empfehlenswert.

Nice, comfortable, good location
Good location - easy walk to new market and Indian museum. Decent breakfast buffet, quite a bit of variety. But eating area is too small to accomodate the large numbers of visitors. Had to wait for a free table and staff was slow to clear tables. Room was comfortable and clean. The girl who cleaned was very good, pleasant, went out of her way to make the room pleasant. Wifi was not great - very slow nd kept dropping.
