Fantastic hotel with amazing staff!
Fantastic hotel! One of our all time favorites! Extremely nice and helpful staff, excellent food, nice pools, sunset, balcony, aircondition etc. Also good area with beaches, snorkelling-spots and restaurants within easy walkingdistance. We will come back some day!

Hotel was excellent but I was disappointed with the friendliness of the owner. I accidentally broke a cheap plastic lid to the cistern when pressing the flush button(on first day) and I felt intimidated by his displeasure. It subsequently made me uncomfortable and I did not stay on the premises other than to change and sleep. Lid was replaced within a couple of hours and could not have cost that much. Needs some customer services training.

A lovely, relaxing hotel with a great restaurant.
We stayed at the Ela Mesa for a fabulous two weeks of relaxation and in a lovely room with great views of the sea from the balcony. All the staff are wonderful and so so helpful and kind at all times. The buffet breakfast has a huge choice and is so tasty - Greek yoghurt, honey, a variety of fresh fruit, cheeses, eggs, meats, breads, pastries and more - delicious. We also ate at the restaurant and found the food to be superb - Greek traditional hot food and salads and a wonderful Fisherman's Spaghetti. We took a trip over to Athens for a day each week - the city is breathtaking and pretty easy to reach by ferry or Flying Dolphin from Aegina Port and the Metro from Piraeus. Lots to see and do on the island too; car hire is reasonable. A truly wonderful place to stay - we are definitely going back: so many people staying when we did were regular visitors which is a huge recommendation in itself.

Nice hotel in quiet and nice Souvala village
We spent a few nights at Ela Mesa. The place is clean and nice with a few nice swimming pools. As a family the restrictions to be quiet at certain times around the pool area where not ideal since our kids love swimming and love water. So I would recommend this hotel more as a hotel for couples without children. The breakfast is good and satisfactory. The AC works fine and the room was according to specification. Wifi works fine.

Family hotel close to the beach and restaurants
Ela Mesa is a lovely quiet and friendly place to stay. Thrassos has a good rapour with his visitors and is helpful and more than pleased to answer any questions and be helpful when required. All rooms are either on the ground floor opening to the pool or with a balcony with a delightful view of the swimming pool and sea. I was staying with two children who enjoyed the swimming pools and excellent air conditioning! The rooms are basic but all have a TV, wifi and a very good shower. Our room had a fridge which was very useful. The breakfast was very good with cold meats/cheeses, cereals, plenty of fruit/pastries etc, eggs and Greek hot pastries. The hotel could not be better located for Soulava, quiet and less touristy part of the island, with a lovely selection of restaurants. Go to the beach beyond Sovala bay, where there are no sea urchins an umbrellas and plenty of free umbrellas. We took a taxi to The Temple of Aphaia and the lost village is also worth the trek.

Great hotel
Ela Mesa is a very nice and well-maintained hotel with clean rooms and pool areas. It is a quiet hotel, mostly for families. The staff is very sweet and helpful. The restaurant serves a fine breakfast and you can also get both lunch and dinner there, which is also very nice. Only thing is the very hard mattresses which seems to be a common thing in Greece. There is a 5-min. walk to the quiet village where there are a couple of very nice tavernas, cafes and a supermarket. Beach is also 5-10 min walk away.

Fantastic hotel
We stayed for a week with our two young children and it was simply fantastic. A small hotel with great service and a great pool, which my 5 year old swam in for hours on end. The breakfast offer was very comprehensive with options to suit all and the lunch / evening food was very good too all of very good portions. We particularly enjoyed the spring rolls, traditional kebabs and chicken burgers. Free Wi-fi and fridges, kettles and hairdryers in every room where super. However the best part was how spacious and comfy the beds were. Very relaxing holiday even with children. Situated in a small fishing village there’s a little play park next to a beach side bar we visited whilst siesta happened (3pm -5pm). There’s also a couple of local shops where you can get basic food items or gifts. Taxi cost 12€ to Aegina town which is a wonderful place with many restaurants, bars and shops. You can also take a trip by ferry from souvala or aegina town for a few euro to other parts of the island or if you fancy to any of the local islands. Thrassos the owner was really friendly and very helpful. Arranged taxis to greet us off the ferry in pieraus and take us to the airport and even playing with my son when he chance. I would definitely recommend this as an excellent choice for a relaxing reasonably priced hotel.

Vi bodde i ett mellanting mellan hotellrum och lägenhet, precis intill den lilla välskötta avskärmade innergården med två fina pooler och restaurang. Med havet i bakgrunden, till fågelkvitter helt utan störande trafik, perfekt för att avnjuta den soliga våren vid Medelhavet. Personalen och särskilt ägaren var genomgående hjälpsamma: tipsade och fixade och flyttade t.o.m. frukosttiden vid vår hemresa då vår färja gick tidigt. Våra två rum var ganska enkla i sitt utförande, kanske lite hårda sängar, men ändå helt ok med fin uteplats mot poolen. Wifi fungerade bra. Fem minuters gångväg till "centrum" kring den lilla hamnen, i den lilla byn Souvala med miniaffär, bageri och en handfull restauranger. Inga storstränder här - men två närliggande stränder (ca 200 m) och en 700 m österut, som låg lite mer avsides i en vik. Den förnöjde både barn och vuxna med klarblått medelhavsvatten och sandslottsmöjligheter.

We love souvala
We stayed for a wonderful two weeks in this little gem. Food is great and Thrassos and his staff Simply could not have done more for us. The breakfast is great and we loved walking into souvala for our shopping and morning coffee. We met some great people too and had a lot of fun. Hopefully we will get back one day!

Beautiful little hotel.
A very nice hotel with great staff including the owner who is a great chef as well.The two swimming pools are a great addition to the hotel amenities. The menu is very divert and the portions are huge. The staff very polite and very friendly. Overall a great time on a little and quiet island.

Better if Air Conditioning worked
Arrived after disastrous flights from Lisbon and without luggage. Nobody seemed to notice! The airconditioner kept turning off at night and it was hard to sleep. I think it might have been because it was the end of the season but all staff (except cleaner) seemed disinterested. The hot food at breakfast was not in bain marie. Overall OK. Pools closed early as well.

If I tell you fourtimes that you have to close the balcony door and the Windows to work the Air conditioner but if you dont remember this. It is not my fault then. There is no problem with the Air conditioner. It works perfectly if you push the right buttons. The pool operates from 9am until 9pm. We also have to clean the pools to be ready and totally clean next day. We have to put inside some chemical things for example Chloe and after that you must wait 12 hours to be able to use the pool .

Location a little far from the main town, 10-15 minutes by taxi. But Hotel is well maintained, with friendly staff. Very nice place to stay for a few days.

Great hotel with wonderful staff, everyone is very welcoming and accommodating. Very family friendly with two great swimming pools, and 5 minutes from the little port of Souvala which has a great little beach, and lots of tavernas. The food at Ella Messa is also very good -authentic Greek cuisine!

Veldig fint opphold. Eieren av hotellet gjør opplevelsen veldig fin. Hotellet har et fint basseng område både for barn og voksne. Hotellet tilbyr bar og restaurant i bassengområdet. Rommet har alt man trenger, men vi bodde en familie på 4 og hadde kun et rom. Ble litt trangt, men vi koste oss uansett. Alt i alt en veldig din opplevelse:)

באנו לשלושה ימי מנוחה, מחוץ לעונת התיירות. למרות זאת המלון היה מתוחזק היטב, החדר נקי ובעל המלון נעים ומסביר פנים. המלון נמצא בכפר סובלה במרחק סביר מאגינה, מה שאיפשר לנו מקום שקט למנוחה וגם קירבה לעיירה המרכזית.

Ela mesa: the hotel is what's it says on the Tin! We learned the meaning of the name and they true to their word.Staff are very welcoming and helpful. .very clean room close to the beach. The only downside is may be you have to rely on Taxis to go to the town .

Κλείσαμε δωμάτιο με θέα τη θάλασσα, αλλά αυτή φαινόταν μερικώς από το δικό μας δωμάτιο.Το κουζινάκι στο δωμάτιο δεν εξυπηρετεί σχεδόν σε τίποτε και δεν δένει με την υπόλοιπη επίπλωση. Υπήρχαν μικρές φθορές από δημιουργία αλάτων στο μπάνιο και σε μεταλλικά μέρη της πισίνας που δημιουργούν εντύπωση παλαιότητας, που αδικούν το κατά τα άλλα καλό ξενοδοχείο. Πολύ ευγενικοί και φιλικοί οι ιδιοκτήτες, πρόθυμοι για πληροφορίες, καλό πρωινό, καλή τοποθεσία.

Pænt og rent hotel med god service
Pænt og rent hotel med god service. Vi havde kun en enkelt nat på hotellet men alt fungerer rigtig fint. Hotellet fremstår nyt og der er god mandskabspleje. Eneste negative ting er at der blev banket på døren 3 gange om morgenen fra rengøring (hvor vi alle 3 gange måtte fortælle at vi skulle tjekke ud samme dag). WIFI er kun gratis i fællesarealerne, ønsker du det på værelset skal du betale.
