Fab location halfway up the hill, so not too far from the beach and close to restaurants and cafes. Friendly staff with good food and drink options too.

One night stay in this lovely hotel, stayed in the junior suite with a sea view. Absolutely beautiful views. The room was nicely decorated and very clean. The staff were very friendly and nothing was too much to ask. We will look to stay here again.

The hotel had a very comfortable feel about it, although an older property in need of some updating (which we were told would be happening ready for next year) the general ambience of the hotel was simply lovely. You could have a mountain (morning sun) or sea (afternoon sun) view and the pool and bar was beautiful after a day on the beach! Thank you for a great 10 days at your hotel, we loved every minute of our stay. The hotel's facilities and ambience were just what we wanted and we could not have asked for more friendly and attentive hotel staff from the housekeepers to the hotel manager, and these coupled with the lovely village of Lourdata and it's beach made for a wonderful holiday...the best we have had in many years. We will definitely be back again

Great Staff, great value
The best thing about this hotel is the staff. They bend over backwards to help make your holiday as enjoyable as possible. Facilities are limited (it is 2 star) but just what we needed. Close to beach (a few minutes walk) nice pool for small hotel and adequate continental breakfasts.

Belle journée reposée à la plage
Vraiment magnifique avec la belle piscine, le jolie jardin et la plage lumineuse. Il se trouve un peu loin des grandes villes locales, mais vous pouvez vous tomber au sein de la nature sans soucis et stressé. Je vous recommande fortement pour les gens qui veulent se plonger bien pendant l'été.

Lovely Hotel situated perfectly for beach,
Lourdas is a lovely quiet little place and has a wonderful atmosphere. The hotel sits conveniently close to the beach,tavernas and mini markets. It's served by a local bus but very infrequently. I did a couple of the tours to see the island which were very good

Sehr guter Pflegezustand, ebenso organisiert. Das Personal sehr freundlich, jederzeit ansprechbar und hilfsbereit. Gute Tips undeine sehr angenehme persönliche Ansprache. Der Zimmerbalkon bot eine grandiose Aussicht auf das Meer. Frühstück sehr einfach, aber schön auf der Terasse (sonnig, schattig oder halbschattig, - perfekt!). Trotz Lage an der Hauptstraße sehr ruhig. Exzellentes Standortquartier.

Hotel confortevole arredi datati ma molto pulito.
L'hotel è carino ,immerso nel verde degli olivi e cipressi, molto pulito anche se arredi sono datati. Il personale è cortese . È vero in camera c'è la tv, ma bisognerebbe dirlo che non ha neanche un canale italiano. La colazione è discreta, ma per il prezzo che abbiamo pagato per il soggiorno va bene. Si arriva in spiaggia in 5 minuti di discesa a piedi, la salita è un pochino più lunga. È importante sapere che se si è sprovvisti di scooter o auto si è praticamente bloccati a Lourdata, dove ci sono solo ristorantini e un supermarket. Il paesaggio è bellissimo . Tante spiagge meravigliose da vedere, ma è necessario sapere che l'isola è montuosa, quindi sono tutte salite, discese e tornanti. Ma vale la pena visitarla.

Family run hotel close to beautiful beach
Hotel was in a convenient location. Excellent beach in walking distance, with plenty of good facilities. All generations of the staff in this family run hotel were extremely helpful, courteous and friendly. The breakfast was plentiful, with good choices. Room were spotlessly clean, with regular linen changes and efficient air conditioning. The pool and poolside facilities were good.

What a gem in a fantastic location!
The surroundings of the hotel are beautiful and & everything from the cute pool,flowers,trees,eating area,comfy lobby to wonderful staff-all complete a perfect picture and make you feel welcome! Breakfast had a decent selection of typical items, absolutely satisfying and the best part was having it outside, by the poolside surrounded by lush vegetation. We also loved spending our late evenings outside,playing cards,having a few drinks,chatting with guests and staff, listening to music. Drinks from the hotel bar are not expensive & bar even has a “happy hour”! Everybody was describing dreadful steep walk down to the beach and back to the hotel. I was mentally preparing myself for an ironman-like challenge.. It was fine and not that dramatic as I read in reviews: quite pleasant way down and a bit more sweaty walk up! :) Our family of 3 got the quadruple occupancy suite with 2nd bedroom so we had plenty of room..and since we were on the 3rd floor–we got an amazing sea view! The room was very simple,with typical in Greece simple beds (and not so comfortable mattress/pillows combo :)) and nothing fancy but it was very spacious and clean, with lots of closet space and even kitchenette. The best location after comparing others. Definitely great value for your money! Undeniably caring staff! 100% fantastic stay and time! I would without any hesitation stay in Hotel Lara again and again! Thank you, Lara family!

This is a very basic hotel. The room we stayed in was dark, hot and we could hear the neighbours exceptionally well. The bed was equipped with springs, so quite uncomfortable. The location is good, close to the beach, the staff was friendly, and the place was clean. Some easy points of improvement: the extra charge of 3€ per day for aircondition was weird to say the least. Also the breakfast was under par.

Thank you very much for your comments;. You forgotten that have booked a room in a 2 stars hotel. Our smalest room is 14,8 sqare metres a little more that the legal requirements, plus the 2.88 m2 balcony.. May be you did not calculate well, because the two beds make 4 sqare metres,3 sqare metres is the bath room. 4 sqare metres cover the armchair,,the litle office, the little furniture between the beds, the fridge the cupboard,and the litlle furniture you were puting your suicase, totaly.11 M2 . If you were correct you had to fly to go to your bed or to your balcony, and happily you had not., because you could easily walk. At least you had a good breakfst so that you days were started well. This hotel was adequate but at the top of a steep hill so be prepared for a climb back from the beach (going down is easy). The facilities were very clean but the room very disappointing. The beds are so hard we struggled to get a comfortable nights sleep. The shower provides little room for movement and the fixtures are obstacles. The balcony is very limited for space and chairs needed to be removed to enable opening of the shutters. The room however was well maintained, the domestic and bar staff extremely friendly and helpful. We found that the owner didn't engage very much with guests, but the atmosphere overall was pleasant. We would recommend that you hire a car for this location. There are some excellent tavernas in the area, but it's good to explore the vibrant Katelios, Karminia is the sandy beach just before Skala , the small port of Poros and a drive over the mountains takes you to the very beautiful Assos and then over to Sami.

Dear Madam/Sir Thank you for your comments about our Hotel Lara. It is a pity you could not sleep because of our beds' mattresses. For your information, these matresses are 4 years old and when I ordered them I asked to be orthopedic. For the guests who find the matresses uncomfortable, we have available 5 cm thick soft matresses and use them if and when requested. It is a pity you did not mention this to anyone - especially in the reception, so that your problem would have been solved. As for me, I am always around and interacting with the guests as much as my professional obligations allow. I am sorry if I had not the chance to meet you. Kind regards, The Manager

The hotel was most welcoming places to eat were close by although a steep walk back from the beach side restaurants which were the better places to eat. You require beach shoes as the beach is not as sandy as pictures suggest. Overall a very nice place to go and relax.

Für uns war der Aufenthalt sehr nett, Frühstück war täglich gleich bis auf das Obst aber es war gut und ausreichend, Zimmer ok. Einen großen Nachteil gab es für uns, dir Matratzen waren schlimm, wir hatten Nachts und am Morgen starke Rückenschmerzen. Andere Hotelgäste gingen beim Frühstück auch krumm und klagten. Vielleicht hätten sie die Matzratzen eh getauscht und es hätte eine Lösung gegeben. Wir haben es nicht angesprochen. Bis auf das war es super!!

The Lara hotel is a nice small hotel 5 minutes from the beach. Staff friendly & helpful. But too close to busy roads which made it noisy. No lift so not easy to carry cases up or down the stairs.But did enjoy my stay overall.

Nice hotel not to far from beach
What a lovely hotel. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Excellent food from lovely breakfast to great lunches and fresh, tasty dinners.. A lovely walk down to the beach, but hard work on the way back up to the hotel, though totally worth it when you jump straight in the pool.. Rooms are cleaned every day with fresh towels if needed.

Clean, welcoming, close to beach & tavernas.
Just what we wanted. A relaxing place, no shops or holiday paraphenalia but genuinely beautiful setting, with top notch tavernas close by and peace and tranquility to relax in. Buses running up and down the quite steep hill were a little unreliable but this did not stop us. If you are looking for rest and relaxation in a typically Greek setting with friendly locals and great food and drink this is the place.

Air-con is charged extra which we found a bit strange but we didn't really need it so it was fine, plus the price we were paying per night with breakfast included was good so it kind of felt right to pay a bit extra for the air con. Breakfast was nice, good variety. Recommend it!

Perfect family holiday
Lourdata is a Beautiful small Village with a lovely white shingle beach, boasting some excellent restaurants. Lorraine's and Olive Lounge stood out, each with delicious locally sourced food, great service and idyllic locations. Lourdata is a great base for exploring the island, with easy access to other beaches such as Katelios and Scala, towns and villages of Argostolli, Sami and Fiskardo. The caves of Melissani and Drogarati are also worth a visit. The hotel is comfortable with helpful staff able to support with booking boat trips - Zante was a highlight -there is a fabulous Pola with cafe bar. This was a perfect relaxing and fun family holiday. We all fell in love with the island.

Albergo tranquillo, molto pulito, con piscina ben tenuta e comodo parcheggio; mare vicino con una spiaggia ben servita e diverse taverne dove cenare con cucina greca.
