The food was underwhelming for the premium prices, one of the room wasn’t even prepared for the guest arrival, staff wasn’t particularly welcoming, definitely understaffed. But the pool facilities were excellent.

Room was good. Staff friendly and helpful. Needs a sweeper round the kerbside, absolutely filthy with dead leaves.

The staff were all helpful and professional. The room was very clean and very comfortable. The hotel food was all very good . This Holiday Inn is very dog friendly as well. We will definately be staying again.

Great hotel friendly staff
Great value for money if include dinner and breakfast for family of 4. Comfortable rooms with all amenities. We enjoyed having a swim and use of sauna/ steam room. Second time staying and would return again

Great location off M6 and check in was good, but it’s basic at best. The food in restaurant is dreadful and almost inedible. Bed was comfortable, shower good but overall cleanliness poor. Armchairs horribly stained in bedroom. The breakfast was ok and plenty there. Won’t be rushing back.

When we arrived the young man at reception was very nice, and very helpful. We had booked an accessible room, but asked for a walk in shower. I proceeded to check if we had been allocated a room with a walk in shower, and the young man stated that all the accessible rooms had a bath. I wasn’t told about this when I emailed the property after booking. He then proceeded to book us a room with a shower. The room seemed fine, although very dusty, which I don’t expect. We went down for dinner about 6.15 and were told to order our meal on the tablet on the table. My husband duly put our order through. We had a confirmation that our meal was ordered. About 45 minutes later we asked when our meal would be ready, and the young waiter told us that our order had not gone through, and proceeded to tell us that the tablet on our table had not been working earlier that day. He then brought us another tablet and told us we would have to put the order through again. We waited another 30 minutes and then I approached the young waiter again, who went to check if our meal was prepared. Ten minutes later we received our meal. After finishing our meal I asked another waitress if she could get me some decaf tea bags , as there none in my room. She came back 5 minutes later and said that they had no decaf teabags. Shocking for a large hotel group. As we left the dining room, the same waitress came running after us , stating that we hadn’t paid our bill, I stated that we had paid for our meals a

Shower drained really slow so you only get 2 minutes before it overflowed, tv only had bbc channels and was locked with a code so I couldn’t rescan. Reported to reception so should be sorted for the next person

Fantastic stay
Really lovely stay last night- room very clean and comfortable, lovely shower. Staff were really lovely. Breakfast had plenty of choice, very fresh. Used the swimming pool- again staff were super helpful, towel hire free of charge, clean and well kept. Can’t wait to go back.

My father and I enjoyed our stay overall, on our walk up to our room though, there were a lot of dirty dishes with half eaten meals lying outside at least half a dozen rooms in the corridor. It just made the place look dirty, unkept and unclean, thankfully overall it wasn’t. David Grier

Very convenient location on M6. Pool was great, real pity the jacuzzi wasnt working. We ate in the restaurant...evening meal, the pie was great but the burger was really dry. Breakfast, there was not enough staff really and some foods ran out half an hour before the end if service.

I wouldn't stay at this hotel again. I'd ordered the special main meal of 5 bean chilli and no sour cream. I instead got a meat chilli with sour cream and nachos. I asked the staff if it was the meat one as I'd ordered the 5 bean one. She confirmed it was.She apologised and said they would change this. They then brought out the 5 bean chilli with more sour cream and no nachos. The meal itself was lovely and piping hot. I decided to order some drinks in my room via the QR code that was in there. I ordered a vodka with rhubarb and ginger ale and also a gin with strawberry and hibiscus. Staff called the room to say they didn’t have any vodka with rhubarb left and did I want anything else so I said I'll have 2 gins instead. They said they also didn't have any ginger ale or ginger beer so I said I'd have a tonic water instead then. Staff called a few minutes later to say again they dont any vodka with rhubarb left and I said that someone had already rang me up and told me the same thing already. The order came with 3 tonics instead of 2. At breakfast my husband said there was no espresso or Americano in either of the 2 machines so he had to have a coffee when we went back to the room. I get it was busy at breakfast but at dinner time it wasn't so there was no reason to get the order wrong. The room was clean though and the staff on reception at check out (Paul) is a credit to the hotel and he rang us a taxi when my husband asked for a local taxi number.

First time ive stayed at a more upmarket place. But from the minute we got there a couple of guests at reception, now I don't know about others but I like someone to lift their head and say wont be moment but no, eventually another person came to help but to be fair know more welcoming. Went to room which was a disabled room which I appreciated clean big etc. Pop back down to get a coffee know one there but a girl behind the bar who eventually came over but instead of explaining she couldn't use the coffee machine just stood there no hello etc eventually a young guy came and made the coffee. Back to room, had a shower floor was in puddles when I got out not very safe for a person who doesn't walk well. Boiling hot in room. TV wouldn't work but was only the batteries in the remote had gone. Went down to breakfast in the morning 4 staff on and not one welcome or explanation of what the procedure was. We had to all the questions. We would of been welcomed more in a little BnB in Morecambe. Its totally important to be welcoming and attentive to your guests and a bit of in house training wouldn't go a miss, even the chamber maids didnt say Good morning or anything sorry it a 4/10 from me.
