We love to stay at the Breakers on the Ocean, because it’s so closed to everything but the best part we can just walk in the ocean right from our room!

It has a nice spot on the beach and the property was better than I expected for the price. It was occupied by older clientele, lots of families. The staff was courteous, the pool was clean, and the beach umbrellas plentiful. Will keep this in mind for future vacations.

This is indeed an older property that has immense character. If you are looking for shiny and new, this isn’t your place. However, if you are looking for extremely clean and comfortable, steps from the beach, and convenient to everything in Delray Beach, this is certainly your place. From the warm welcome given us by Crystal in the office to the crisp white sheets on the bed to the free beach chairs and towels, I enjoyed everything about my stay and would most definitely stay here again!

Its atmosphere was very welcoming and we loved the ability to walk out of our room and to the beach in a matter of steps. The pool was very clean and comfortable

We liked the new pool, beach, amenities like comfortable king bed, lots of charging outlets in lamp bases, cleanliness, friendly staff, loved the front patio and seating, coffee, light breakfast, bottled water, pool towels, shampoo etc, so what if updates needed here and there.. part of the charm.Will return!

DelRay Breakers was a mixed bag and a three star overall rating seems fair. On the plus side, our room was clean and spacious, with a comfortable king-sized bed. Housekeeping was excellent and the staff was friendly and approachable. And the proximity to the beach was really nice. On the minus side, the property is badly need of renovation - caulking, painting, re-tiling in the bathroom. The continental breakfast was mostly packaged muffins and bagels. We expected a little more for the price. And we had no hot water for half our stay. We let the office know about that Friday morning. I’d think that would be an urgent thing but it wasn’t fixed until mid-morning on Saturday. It wasn’t the worst place but we’re unlikely to return.

You can't beat the location and price. A little updating would help, but it was clean and the staff were all great. Already made reservations for two longer stays.

I really enjoyed our stay. Delray Breakers had everything I could ever want. Just when I thought it couldn’t get better they informed me they had a free washer/dryer and they even provided detergent. Everyone was very helpful. This is the perfect place for some rest and relaxation. The place is a little bit dated in areas but everything was just so awesome that I didn’t mind. I hope I can come back soon.

The location is perfect! The staff is warm and welcoming! The recreational area is great, awesome access to the beach! The rooms are very clean but do need renovations.

Bathroom from hell
The location is amazing and we expected a bargain. Check in was easy enough. Grounds were clean enough and access to the beach was perfect. However the condition of the interior of the room was third world. The floors were dirty but not terrible. The bedroom was comfortable but seemed like the paint job was left unfinished. The kicker was the bathroom. It was if an unskilled worker came in with eyes closed to caulk the tub and sink area. The toilet seat was broken. The floor was the original 1950 but in extremely poor condition. When I spoke with front desk, the response was: "We only do maintenance and not repair". It is a shame because with a little investment the experience would have been very different.

Nice quant place to stay for reasonable price. Parking is a little tight so bring a small vehicle. Room was nice, just had a little ant problem. Otherwise the beach is nice and the staff was very friendly.

The property location is amazing and worth the stay even though the kitchen and toilet/bathroom are dilapidated. (The only reason not 5 out of 5 stars). I would absolutely stay here again because we didn’t spend much time in the room and went out for almost all meals. Housekeeping made our beds everyday and we never had to ask for clean towels! Thank you to housekeeping:) I will be coming back and loved to property!

Our stay was very nice. This property needs some updating but overall it was a nice vacation. The rooms and property are clean. It's a great location the pool and beach are steps away.

So Much Potential!
Loved the hotel, as it is "old Florida" and not one of those concrete boxes like the new modern hotels. And we had a kitchen with refrigerator and stove and a small living room. Lastly, the location is fantastic! We had a nice walk on the beach in the morning before we checked out. But a lot of work needs to be done inside the rooms. We were in room 2. The ceiling tiles in the bathroom were coming down and the floor tiles were coming up, and the caulking was all discolored. Lastly, the "continental breakfast" was just coffee from a machine, some rolls wrapped in plastic and bagels in a bowl. Too bad, as the property has so much potential!

Even though the location is superb, unit 8 was so tired and worn. The toilet literally rocked back and forth on the floor feeling like it would fall through at any moment. There were some bugs running around the kitchen area. We couldn’t get out of there fast enough!

Perfect location, perfect peace on the ocean and on the property. Rooms need an uplift with furniture, bathrooms and kitchen. However, I know with that, comes an increase in rates.

Perfect for family traditions
This was our second stay and we just love this little hotel on the beach. The location cannot be beat, the people are so nice and friendly, and it has everything we need to be comfortable as a family of four. We love that the beach is right there and it comes with beach chairs. We were at the pool all the time also. It is really close to shops and restaurants as well over the bridge. We were very comfortable in the room and especially love the kitchen that we could cook in which was super convenient for our family with food allergies . Will definitely stay here again in the future.
