PROS: More affordable than other hotels. It is close and within walking distance to the museums, attractions, etc. We checked our luggage in early when we got to Amsterdam. Bed was OK.
CONS: Person at the counter was arguing with a customer when we walked in. Really noisy. Almost like there was a window open or no window at all. Can hear everything out in the street at all hours. Our floor in the room had a large spongy feel which we tried to avoid walking on.
We also got hit with a "resort fee" when there are literally no amenities. Perhaps shower soap was the amenity. Why is there a profiteering fee? No coffee in the room, no breakfast, if you want a coffee, it was one Euro. If you want to go cheap, you might as well get a hostel for a better experience, or get a better name brand hotel.
