When I arrived in Korea and took the bus to the residence, I was nervous because I arrived late (latest check-in was around 11pm I believe) missed my bus stop and arrived around a little past midnight, the owner was so nice and hospitable and let me check-in after the initial time. He showed me how to use the amenities (you don’t have to use an actual key to unlock the door, it’s electronic, just put the sensor up to the door handle and it’ll unlock, it’ll lock by itself once you get inside) there’s a little entrance before you open the door to your room to put shoes and whatnot. Everything was super clean, a small Kitchenette (electric 2-stove) a washer. It came with some plates and cups and stuff to cook food, a microwave, water heater, toaster and mini fridge / freezer (it wasn’t super small, like twice as big as a mini fridge in the US) Overall, my first impressions will last me forever, when I go back to Korea this is definitely the place I will be staying! 5-stars, two thumbs up!

Mr Jang the owner extended the welcome with welcome drink and offered to walk to get the dinner to their famous Korea chicken shop even at near 11pm at night right after our arrival, provided practical suggestions to get around to Lotte Mart, and giving my daughter farewell kpop gift, Thanks Mr Jang!

Our stay here was so amazing. Hotel very quiet and convenient and walking distance to Metro train station. Shopping mall around too. Owner of the accommodation very kind and helpful. Staff also very kind and helpful.

Spacious and Comfortable Room!
Pros: - The room is spacious. - The bed is comfortable. - The room has everything you need, desk, microwave, washing machine, etc. - The area is quiet and safe. - Love the free coffee machine at the lobby. Cons: - There isn't much food choices around the area. - There's practically nothing much around the area.

The room is okay, large refrigerator, washer machine along with other amenities. The location sucks, there is no restaurant or shop near the guest house, its mostly residential area. You have to walk about 10 to 15 minutes to shop or find some restaurants near Guro station. There is a Chinese restaurant below the hotel which is not that great. The staff & the owner is not as friendly as what the review says. The front desk staff is not always available and works limited hours. Overall, the room is okay, but I don't recommend this place.

Very convenient
Apartment is well facilliated with good heater, washing machine and cooker. Its also situated nearby to the rail station and shopping centre. Although its not as busy streets like Myeongdong, Dongdaemun and Itaewon but its conveniency is more than enough. And we wont be always caught up with the hussle of the crowd. I will recommend this place.

Amazing place to stay!
We stayed in some great places all around South Korea and Jeju but this would rate as one of the best. They have thought of everything you could possibly need in this room that is like an apartment. It even has a washing machine. The owner and staff are friendly and helpful. Everything is so well organised and the price is very good for what you get.

This probably the nicest hotel I've ever stayed at and I've been to a lot of them. The president of the building greeted us personally upon arrival and showd us how to use everything and helped us get food in our bellies after the long 14 flight. He explained how to use all the gizmos in the room and helped us pick out food from the Korean Chinese restaurant down stairs since we only eat fish and vegetables. The beds we comfortable and clean the room was cleaned daily. The hotel is right next to Guro station so it's a quick walk there and also next to AK plaza if you wanted to go shopping. The view from the room gives you a small slice of life view and it also really coveinent to have a little washer in the room. There are karaoke bars near and a movie theater. It seems a little residential area than party town but that's ok for us. I will stay here again next time I come since this is my second time Korea. Also the president gave us a parting gift of little chocolate cakes! It felt like home !

Best value for price. I split the cost with a friend as we were staying with each other so it only cost about 30 USD per night and for that price I could not ask for more. The room had everything you could want: a TV, computer, Wifi, cooking range with tools, laundry machine, private bathroom, fridge and freezer, and a very comfy bed.The cleaning service was daily if you wanted and they did a great job cleaning. The only thing that I was dissatisfied was the location. Although it was very close to a station there's nothing to do in the immediate area so you have to use the subway and go somewhere if you want to do something fun. Otherwise zero complaints

This is a great residence inn in a very convenient location of Seoul. It is not in a hot tourist area but by subway one can travel to many fun areas such as Hongdae, Gangnam, Myeongdong and others within 30 minutes of the hotel. The rooms are comfortable and the area is quiet.

Daelim Residence is friendly, comfortable and very well-run. If you are looking for a nice little apartment with a kitchen, washing machine, and reliable fast Wi-fi, and don't mind being a 20-minute train ride from downtown, this place is perfect. There is a supermarket nearby for food shopping, too.

Welcoming staff and a comfortable room let you feel right at home at the Daelim Residence. Small touches throughout really show the owner's consideration towards his guests. The kitchenette has everything necessary for preparing and serving small meals for two, while the closed balcony area contains a wheeled cart for guests to use when grocery shopping. The location is very convenient, with only a few minutes walk to the Seoul subway system. Overall I was very impressed by this hotel and it's amenities and will definitely stay here again during future visits to Seoul.

Stayed for 3.5weeks here in South Korea and had to say this was my home away from home. Loved the staff here. I remember I had to somehow find a printer in order to print a ticket for Lotte World (I hardly knew any Korean and it was my first time in South Korea) and asked the staff there for directions. Instead, she offered to immediately print it at her office for me. Saved me an incredible amount of effort which I greatly appreciated. The room was quite a blessing as well. Equipped with almost everything one might need on a trip. A convenient washing machine included with your room with no extra charge.(no dryer included, but you do have an indoor hanger-clothes generally dry within a day anyways) In addition, free softener and powder for the washes were included. And it's about 2000won (~$2 USD) for refills so you don't have to go out to buy them. A sink, electric stove, pots, pans, dish washing detergent, dish washing sponge, lots of cabinets, eating utensil, extendable sink head, microwave, and refrigerator all included for use in your own room. Air conditioner, computer, free wifi, a small dining room , closet, a small shopping cart (I didn't use this, convenient stores are quite close), two umbrellas, slippers, TV, water boiler, and hair dryer included as well. Bathroom was clean and included free toner and emulsions, hair gel, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and shaving items. The only thing I was disappointed was that the bed was a little hard for my taste.

Stayed there for a week. Excellent place. Convenient location. 5 min walk to subway and AK plaza shopping center. Food hall in AK plaza, you can can get groceries there (on a pricier side though) A room is a bit dated but is large and has everything you need. A lot of attention to details. Even the complementary face masks. If you stay more than 5 days you can get a portable wifi device for free. Meaning you have free internet anywhere you go (You just need to leave a deposit that you get back after). When we left the owner left a little gift for us (a box of nori sheets). Was very nice. Highly recommend.

Daelim is the Best
Great stay even though it is quite far from Seoul, but with efficient subway (about 20 minutes train ride) staying at Daelim was not a problem because it provides all the amenities that you need. A 2-star hotel apartment with a 5 star service/amenities.

Daelim is the Best
I have stayed in Daelim for four times. The reason I chose Daelim was it has everything that you need as a traveler. A small kitchen, washer,detergent and softener, iron and ironing board, adapter, free portable WIFI (if you stay for at least 5 days), TV, heated floor, towel(big and small), tooth brush and many more. The owner Mr Jang speaks English and that really helps. Everything was OK except the washer in Room 903 was making a lot of noise every time you used it and this time the bed was not as comfortable as the room I stayed before. I think Mr Jang has to replace it with a new washer and so is the bed. Subway is about 7 minutes walk from Daelim. Grocery store is just nearby and there is a big departmental store AK Plaza which is 5 minutes walk. To me you can never find a better place and service than Daelim. Keep it up Daelim!
