After our stay a few years ago, Mo& Rose have managed to improve their high quality of service and cuisine. Unique is the setting in a veritable botanical garden.

This hotel is a little gem. From the moment you walk through the entrance you get a sense of something rather special and unique. The gardens (manicured cacti / succulents / rockery) dates back some 110 years, and you can feel the peaceful energy everywhere you turn. The pool area was laid out well, and provided a refreshing break from the 35deg South African heat. The room was very well apportioned, tastefully decorated (felt new) and neat and clean upon arrival. The bed was huge and very comfortable, coffee machine in room and welcome glass of wine we nice unexpected touches. Bathroom has walk in shower, dual basins and large bath - all meticulously clean! Restaurant onsite (Succulent, by Werner Snoek) was the cherry on top. Amazing menu, unbelievable tastes all from locally sourced growers, wonderful service, and a setting overlooking the gardens to die for. All in all a fantastic stay - we will absolutely be back and would certainly recommend this to friends and family.

Our cacti gardens is something spectacular - i am actually on my way now to again take photos (after the rain we had) of this special place. Glad you enjoyed all the amenities in our room, free wife, mini bar, nespresso machine, king size bed, dstv. You should return in winter so we can lit that fireplace in your room! A Rare Find
A fantastic find. To come across the successful results of the time and energy spent, started over 100 years ago and continued today is special. The same work ethic and commitment is experienced in the on site restaurant, Succulent, where nothing is spared in making your dining experience as unique as the surroundings.

Birthday night surprise getaway
Mo and Rose is absolutely amazing!!! From the staff, to the grounds to the restaurant, it was perfect!! The room was beautiful with everything you could think of and more. We had dinner at the restaurant which was incredible. It was part of my boyfriend's 40th birthday present and both the staff at the guesthouse and restaurant really went out of their way :) Breakfast the next morning was amazing too. What a beautiful place!! 10 out of 10!!!

Super schöne, komfortable und saubere Unterkunft die ich gerne weiter empfehlen kann. Sehr gutes Essen von Werner, der das Lokal erst vor kurzem übernommen hat. 2 Pools in dem sehr schönen und groß angelegtem Garten, super gepflegt. Netter und aufmerksamer Vermieter der Zimmer. Alles im allem Top. Es war unsere 1. Szation hier nach der Ankunft in Kapstadt, die bisher die Beste war.

Schöne Anlage!
Eine tolle & schöne Anlage inmitten eines Kakteengartens! Leider ist der hintere Pool in der Anlage schwarz, so dass dieser nicht einladend wirkt! Leider war unser Cottage mit einer sehr lauten Klimaanlage ausgestattet, ein geruhsamer Schlaf war hier nicht möglich! Das Guesthouse sollte sich nicht im Restaurant auf das Dinner konzentrieren; das Frühstück war perfekt!

Stunning cactus gardens very large rooms with two great private patios. The grounds are very clean and well maintained. A great location for some relaxation.

Charmigt hotell med fantastisk kaktuspark
Vi valde att övernatta här en natt, under en rundresa i Kapprovinsen. Det kunde gärna ha blivit två nätter! Detta lilla, familjära hotell har inte bara en mycket sevärd kaktuspark, utan också en toppenrestaurang. Väl värd att spendera lite extra tid på!

Sehr schönes Guesthouse in ruhiger Lage
Unser Aufenthalt im Mo&Rose war sehr schön. Das geräumige Zimmer mit großer Terrasse war mit allem ausgestattet, was man sich wünschen kann. Die modernen Möbel haben eine gemütliche Atmosphäre geschaffen. Für kühlere Abende steht sogar ein Ofen mit Feuerholz bereit. Die Spaziergänge im wunderschön angelegten Sukkulenten-Garten waren ein Genuss. Das Restaurant serviert vorzügliches Frühstück und Abendessen. Das Personal ist sehr nett und zuvorkommend.

Amazing boutique stay
Mo and Rose was such a beautiful modern place to stay. The rooms were gorgeous and just a stones throw away from the amazing bistro. We enjoyed a lovely dinner which had incredibly generous servings then could easily just roll back to our room. The garden is beautiful to walk around as well. Would definitely recommend and will come back

Kleines, aber feines Hotel. Sehr geräumige Zimmer. Schönes Bad. Unbedingt abends im Restaurant einen Tisch reservieren, sehr gute Küche! Tipp für Golfer: Worcester GC spielen.

Beautiful place
Beautiful spot. Lovely garden, rooms and pool. Not welcoming of children. The lady who owns or runs it was a bit cold fish like. Not an obviously warm welcoming manner.

Komfortabel Übernachten im Sukkulentengarten
Um zwischen Kapstadt und Garden Route zwei oder drei Tage in ruhiger Umgebung zu entspannen, oder einmal weniger bekannte Weingüter zu entdecken ist Mo and Rose ein idealer Standort. Ob Eigentümer oder Mitarbeiter, alle sind sehr freundlich und professionell. Komfortabel ist es, dass zum Guesthouse auch ein Restaurant gehört, welches eine gute Auswahl und eine gute Qualität bietet.

One night in paradise
Blown away by the beauty of this place, set in a secluded cactus garden. The rooms were spacious and well decorated, and there were plenty of places to relax both inside and out. The staff were all very friendly and helpful, the food in the restaurant was very good and well-priced, and the wine list was extensive. The only problem is that we didn't stay longer!

Peaceful haven in lovely setting
Very friendly and helpful from the outset - room 3 is the best in my opinion but all rooms are good. Fantastic setting and very peaceful - one could veg all day if you wanted but there is plenty to do and see in the surrounding areas. At the end of the day what more can you ask for but to have dinner in their excellent restaurant - no drinking and driving! Booking advised.

Herzliche Begrüßung durch die Südtiroler Inhaberin. Man fühlt sich gut aufgehoben. Ein traumhafter Garten, in dem viel Herzblut u Liebe steckt. Es ist ein Heart-Opener, hier auf der Terrasse zu speisen. Zum Frühstück gab es den besten Pancake ever. Die Zimmer sind in einzelnen Gartenhäusern verteilt, traumhaft. Geräumig und kreativ. Ethische und ökonomische Grundhaltung u Handlungsweise hat uns beeindruckt. Fairer Umgang und Bezahlung aller Angestellten. Großartige Einstellung der Besitzer und eine Anlage zum verweilen und Träumen!

Wunderschöne Unterkunft
Wir waren nur leider nur 1 Nacht dort, aber es hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Das Zimmer mit Poolblick und das moderne Bad waren stylisch eingerichtet und in einem Top Zustand. Das Abendessen im Restaurant war vorzüglich und der Service 1A. Auch das Frühstück war sensationell. Der Sukkulentengarten ist sehr schön angelegt und lädt zum Relaxen ein.

Best T-bone steak ever
Quirky Rooms set in an outstanding garden of Succulents against a backdrop of mountains. After a long drive from Plett. Axel brought us a welcome glass of Sav. Blanc Dinner was excellent- the best T-bone Steak I have ever had. An unidentifiable metallic noise kept us wake that night, however it was a lovely place to stay and an outstanding place to eat.

Gem of a hotel
The Mo & Rose was recommended by a friend as the place to stay on our way from the Karoo to Cape Town. From the room, to the gardens, to the restaurant, everything was perfect. The service, was professional, friendly and personal, and the meals were superb. Clearly, the owners and staff understand the essence of hospitality. The gardens are impeccably maintained and are a unique glimpse at an amazing cross-section of succulents. Can't recommend this establishment highly enough!

Tranquil Getaway
We stayed at the Mo & Rose for two nights on our travels in South Africa and were pleased to discover this hidden treasure. The host was warm and friendly, and offered us drinks straight away, so we sat and enjoyed a great bottle of wine in the beautiful little restaurant with views of the mountains and of the stunning Cactus Garden. The rooms are situated on the other side of the garden, which is lovely to walk through. We were shown to our room, which was spacious, airy and light, and furnished to a high standard (one of the few places where the website pictures are an accurate depiction of the real thing!), and each room has a little sort of sheltered patio with chairs and furnishings, which is lovely for evening drinks or enjoying the morning sun. There is a small outdoor pool, which was clean and laid out nicely with loungers alongside, and again with unfettered views of the mountains all around. The service is first rate and the setting is ideal, Mo & Rose feels very exclusive due to its small size, so privacy is provided and it never feels too busy. Monika was so friendly and helpful, making so much effort to advise and help plan any activities, pointing out great locations/walks etc, and nothing was too much trouble. The Mo & Rose is situated in the Robertson Wine Valley, so there are some great places for tasting and some beautiful mountain walks too.
