The room was really nice and the bed very comfortable, but the noise was unbearable. There was an adjoining room and you could hear the occupants' conversations. The doors slam shut loudly. I could hear people in the hall talking all night, and there was stomping from the room above me. I can't quite blame the hotel for these things, as it was otherwise very nice and clean, but I wish it was better soundproofed. I barely slept all night!

Excellent hotel. This was my second time staying at this hotel location. Very close to the botanic garden. Lots of great food options near by. The hotel is very clean, and quiet. The staff is very nice and accommodating. Will definitely come back.

Our stay at Renaissance was great. The hotel was clean and the bed was comfortable. From the moment we arrived the staff were kind and helpful. Parking was free which is good for Chicago area and there were plenty of spaces. If you're looking for a bite to eat it's connected to the best steak house Ruth Chris.

Everything was great i just wish our room had a microwave. The elevators could use some work though… the wood was chipped and didn’t feel very smooth ascending up and down. Staff was very helpful and nice. The home alone house was a nice and unique attraction nearby. Grocery store and nice food options nearby as well.

Terrible experience….was stuck on a floor w teenage girls having a rertreat…it was extremely noisy well into the night…other customers were complaining as well…then they moved us to a higher floor and when we got into the elevator it dropped a floor and we got stuck for 5mins…! Then when i mentioned it to the front desk they said they KNEW the elevator was broken…and fave us a free breakfast! LMAO! What a joke!

I liked the friendliness and excellent customer service and want to commend Kathleen and Dani at the front desk. They were very helpful in recommending a taxi service to take me to the airport and arranging for it to pick me up at the exact time needed.

Thanksgiving week stay
Always my first choice of where to stay when visiting family in Chicago. From the friendly front desk (welcome after the long drive in) to the comfortable and clean rooms, to the nice breakfast, a stay never disappoints. Really like the new, remodeled rooms and architecture.

I was upset at the fact that we couldn’t get our room right away and being told that theirs a waiting list that just don’t make sense when check in is at 4. I wouldn’t came as soon as I got to the state had I know there was a waiting list. the worker wasn’t as pleasant. Also the fact of the holding fee being $100 I always stay at this property whenever I bust and my holding fee is usually $30 and I always stay for at least two nights. Also very upset at the fact that there isn’t a pool. Now I have to find a new please to stay when I vist which is hard cause I’m use to coming here. Also was upset at the fact that there wasn’t a computer room. I’ve never needed it before but I needed this trip and was just surprised that’s their wasn’t one available

Dear DeAsia,I'm very sorry we did not have a room ready for your arrival. Upon check-in, a credit card is required for room, tax & incidentals; an authorization occurs to be sure funds are available, but the card is not charged. The balance of this authorization is released upon your departure. I’m sorry that this was not effectively communicated and for any frustration caused.
