Spotless!
My husband and I stayed at the Orchard for two nights. The bedroom was spotless and the bed linen was very clean and fresh. The only minor complaint I have is the double room only had one cup, and one towel but staff more than happy to provide a second one. Service was very good in the restaurant and staff were very friendly.

Hotel was clean And welcoming , breakfast was good, staff very friendly . Only criticism was the size and layout of the shower room, not much space and door didn't shut properly . All in all we had a really nice stay .

Fantastic hotel! Service was outstanding, super friendly & accommodating. Hotel was cozy & had all amenities needed including a great bar/restaurant onsite. Breakfast was delish. We will stay again!

Been travelling in UK for 10 Days and this hotel was amazing.Justin check us in and is such a courtesy young man and went out of his way to welcome us.All the staff were awesome and hotel was such a joy to stay at.Wouldn’t hesitate to book again.Thank you for making me believe that there is great service out there.

Sad to have to leave a poor review
Firstly, the positives. The staff were exceptional. The breakfast was great and quality of food was excellent. The room itself was lovely BUT on a main road so traffic noise from early morning till late at night…. Appreciate that’s to be expected and that in itself was not the main problem. The issue was the noise from the bar and functions right below our room. Advised that bar closed at 11.45 but on our second night I had to go to reception after 12.30pm to ask when we were likely to get any sleep. Reception advised he would move them on soon which they did, but then you could hear the staff resetting the room for breakfast. This went on till after 1am. Not good. Parking also an issue. We had to park on the street as no spaces available, none reserved for hotel guests. Room was lovely, but en-suite was tiny. Even the expression’ not enough room to swing a cat’ didn’t apply as there wasn’t even room for a cat. But it was clean and functional. A mixed experience. The staff are a real credit but the sleep quality was a real issue. We wouldn’t return.

Comfortable three night stay
Very nice room and facilities. Breakfasts were well made and fresh and the staff very pleasant and attentive. The hotel bar was excellent and a popular place for many locals and yet all was quiet in our room. Parking was free but limited and tended to be filled by non-residents visiting the bar.

Best Hotel for Glasgow stay with transport to Glas
I have stayed at the Orchard Park on many occasions and will continue to do so due to the friendliness of the staff and cleanliness and comfort of the hotel plus great food.

Worst "hotel" experience in a while
I'll start with the positive - breakfast was good. That's where the good ends. Room was dirty with dust everywhere. In our room you basically had to straddle the toilet to get in and get the door closed to the bathroom, and had to sit on the toilet at an angle as it goes so close to the wall. Despite stating a 24 hour front desk, upon our return to the hotel after a wedding at circa 12.45am, the front door was locked. We could hear the staff inside in the bar having a jolly old time, but despite knocking on the door, shouting through the letterbox and pressing the door bell, it took around 5 minutes of standing in the cold and rain before someone came to open the door - without an explanation or apology at all. To top of the top class customer service, while we we're checking out at around 10.30am we overhead a member of staff on the phone to what I assume is another member of staff, complaining that two guests (our friends) were still in their room and had not checked out and asked the question on the phone "should I go kick them out?" - check out is at 11am per the listing. He also complained that there was still 2 people (other friends of ours) still in the breakfast room - considering breakfast is served until 10am I don't think it unreasonable that they still may be enjoying the food and coffee at 10.30am. It's clear the hotel guests are at the bottom of the pecking order in this place and a clear afterthought.

Very very friendly and welcoming staff! The bar was always buzzing and the breakfast was great! The only downside was that our room (6) was a little small, the bathroom was tiny but functional. Other rooms (1 & 2) are much bigger. We went for a lovely walk in the local area to Rouken Glen Park - it only took 20mins to get there and it was beautiful with its waterfalls and forested parts!

Good friendly Glasgow atmosphere. Close proximity of Bar and Restaurant not so good if you want to converse. We have used Orchard Park Hotel on several occasions and will again when in Giffnock.

Highly recommended!
The rooms, facilities, food and location are all really good, but what elevates the Orchard Park is the quality of the service – efficient, calm and always friendly. You always feel that you're being well looked-after. I'm happy to recommend it wholeheartedly.

Lovely small family run hotel in Giffnock, just outside Glasgow. Very busy lounge bar and outside seating but plenty of friendly and efficient staff catering for table service. Recently refurbished it is stylish and exceedingly clean. The only downside was the size of the bedroom, but we were quickly moved to a bigger one ( this did mean a much smaller bathroom, but it was fine for our stay). Great breakfasts, which will keep you going all day if you want the full Scottish!! As the only people staying at the Hotel in the week that it had just moved up to level 2, the owners looked after us exceedingly well. I will definitely be staying here again. Janet Wallwork

Very pleasant stay with friendly hosts
Overall very happy, the only thing was waking up in the night and the room was a bit hot. Could have opened a window, though, so not an issue. Very clean, freshly painted, nice shower, friendly service at breakfast and check-in/out. The bar closing at 10pm due to Covid helped keep noise down, not sure how it would be if it was open normal times. Have recommended and would stay again.
