Posizione fantastica e location moto suggestiva e silenziosa. Purtroppo però c'erano troppi lati negativi, ci hanno obbligati a fare un check in entro alle 9pm e pensavamo che avremmo trovato qualcuno invece quando arrivi trovi un telefono con cui chiamare il check in che ti da solo il numero di stanza e il codice per la cassetta della chiave, cosa che si poteva fare via messaggio, lasciando agli ospiti la libertà di arrivare quando vogliono, invece noi ci siamo dovuti affrettare e perdere delle tappe per poter essere li alle 9. La stanza non è come da foto ma molto più piccola e poco accogliente, le aspettative date dalle foto e dalle descrizioni erano diverse. Quando siamo arrivati la camera era gelida con il riscaldamento spento e ci ha messo molto a riscaldarsi. In conclusione non tornerei sopratutto per il costo che paragonato ad altre strutture in cui siamo stati è alto per la camera offerta. Consiglio caldamente ai gestori di organizzare il check-in via messaggio, non ha senso farlo fare entro le 9 se non c'è nessuno ad accoglierti.

Check-in was a severe stress test. I never received the digital access code electronically. On to Plan "B". The sign on the building said to call a number, but having dialed countless times no answer. On to Plan "C". Going into the "lobby", if you want to call it that, the sign now noted two numbers to call, neither of which were answered after trying, again, countless times. Fortunately for my wife and I an obvious employee probably leaving for the day, came to my rescue and got us into our room. An hour and a half of valuable Icelandic daylight wasted. The building itself was a simple barn like structure with two floors. I say barn like because it appeared to me that that was what it was in an earlier life before conversion into a guesthouse. Our room was absolutely tiny. I have seen horse stalls larger than this. As for amenities, there were none, not even a cup in the WC to drink from. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS FACILITY TO ANYONE - NOT EVEN MY WORST ENEMY.

The guesthouse was cute
This Guesthouse is small - very small. Just two single beds. A very small bathroom wirh a shower, but you can‘t turn arround in it. Thin walls but it was ok. The best part was the kitchen with the eating and meeting area upstairs. Their is a coffee machine and a guest fridge. You will get NO check-in mail 24 hours before arrival!!! You have to call from the house phone and NOT later than 21 Uhr otherwise noone will answer your call.

The surrounding area is great. Room is very small and the bathroom smelled liked mold. My biggest problem with the place was the other guests. Everyone was not considerate of other guests. Talking loudly, slamming doors all through out the night and early morning

No-frills rooms
This is a no-frills guesthouse that’s fine if you just need a bed to sleep in for the night. Our room had a bed, heater and bathroom, that’s it! They had Wi-Fi but nothing else. Property is nice if you want to do some walking.

Nice Guesthouse in South Iceland. There is no front desk so you have to call a number when you arrive so get the door codes. Unfortunately there were some guest loudly banging on the main door after midnight to enter and the other guests were rather noisy as well. The guetshouse is way too expensive for what you get. So i would not book it again.

I am so surprised that this property can be rated at 3! We booked a three beds room, so small! No table, no chairs in the room, only a painted tree stump using as a very small table——don’t think it in a artistic way. The room is under the floor of the public kitchen, so every movement upstairs you can hear!

Not recommended at all. Fire alarm started beeping in the middle of the night waking everybody up, water and electricity got disconected. Owner didn't attend our phonecalls and messages, so we were left alone and luckly we got to stop the alarm but with the risk of beeing dangerous to be in the building and expending the rest of the night. Still waiting for an appology and explanation.

Don't stay here
The only thing good about this place was the location, everything else was pretty terrible. The check in process was okay since we planned to be there during given hours. However, of the 2 rooms we booked, 1 of them smelled so bad it was hard to even stand in there. It smelled of mold and mildew. We chose to spend no time in there other than to sleep. It was too cramped to do much else anyways, barely enough room to open two suitcases. The other two people in our traveling party refused to enter our room because of the smell. When we called to get the room switched after noticing the smell, no one answered the phone. There is no one on site so phone call or email was the only option. Because it was after check in time we got no response so had to spend the night in that room. We called back in the morning and they assigned us another room and gave us the wrong room code so we couldn't get in there when we got back. Spent another night in the terrible smelling room for this reason. When we called back again the next day they essentially told us the code should have worked and then hung up. We decided there was no point arguing and left at check out time. The showers were so small you could barely move. There was no division between the shower and the rest of the tiny bathroom so everything was wet and smelly. I would stay literally anywhere else. The water didn't taste drinkable and also smelled like mildew so we went to a nearby waterfall to fill up.

Self check-in entro un orario limite (le 21) totalmente senza senso. Camera con puzza di fogna dal bagno (inutilizzabile per l’intero soggiorno, abbiamo dovuto utilizzare i bagni comuni). La mattina ci siamo svegliati con rumori assordanti provenienti dalle aree comuni (probabilmente i muri sono di cartapesta). Camere piccole e scomode (assenza totale di mobilio). Il tutto per la modica cifra di oltre 200€ a notte per una doppia con letti singoli. Da evitare!

Hébergement bien placé, relativement confortable. Partie commune très bien équipée pour cuisiner les repas. Chambre un peu petite pour un couple, et peu insonorisée des bruits des parties communes lorsque les voisins ne sont pas très discrets.

Beautiful property, Lovely room. The room I stayed in does get a little too much traffic to expect a quiet rest, as the stairs to get to breakfast were above my head, and the front door that slammed upon entry or exit was right by the room as well.

Nice to be sleeping at the foot of the very famous E15 volcano and in a deserted area. Very basic room with a basic bathroom, but that is all we needed for one night on the way to Vik and further East. Easy communication to get in the room.

Small Space for Three People
The guesthouse was small and had an upstairs shared kitchen. The upstairs was nice to have but we had three adults staying in the room and it was not enough space. There were about 6-8 inches in between the wall and bed when they were all pushed right next together. The location was good.

Für das Geld vollkommen in Ordnung. Die Unterkunft ist sehr hellhörig. Für eine Nacht aber vollkommen okay. Die Küche war sauber und konnte man gut nutzen. Allerdings geht eine relativ steile Treppe zu ihr hoch. Checkin hat super geklappt. Einziges Manko: KEIN Wlan und wir hatten auch keinen Empfang leider.

abbiamo prenotato e pagato la struttura ma al momento del check in ci è stato detto che la nostra prenotazione non risultava e abbiamo dovuto trovare altro all'ultimo minuto per poi alla richiesta di rimborso nei giorni seguenti sentirci dire che a loro la notte risultava fruita e quindi non avrebbero proceduto al rimborso - STATE ALLA LARGA!

Great location, friendly staff
We got an upgrade from the welcome guesthouse to welcome holiday homes, so the review is actually for that. But very friendly staff, superb location. An old hot spring pool is located very nearby. The private cabin itself was very nice, comfortable and kitchen fully equipped. Wished we could have stayed more nights, but then again we got upgraded at the last moment.

Un lugar que lo podia tener todo para ser un sitio agradable, pero la persona que nos atendio por telefono (hay que llamar a un numero de islandia para que te faciliten el codigo de la llave), fué extremadamente mal educada y poco profesional, el dia 12 por la tarde a las 17h, nada de llegar tarde ni fuera de horario, nos costó mucha imaginacion entrar en el apartamento, nadie te hace caso, no recomendable para nuestro entender.

Welcome Hotels cannot work with Expedia or visa versa. They don't communicate or have compatible codes. We ended up having to pay for something else at 10:30pm after 4 hours of trying to get them to work it out.
