We had actually booked a different property in the area with Expedia. They called the evening before our scheduled check-in and said they needed to move us elsewhere. They said it would be at least as good, but it wasn't.
The bright spots where check-in, staff-friendliness, parking, and breakfast. The following are areas for improvement: First, the carpet and bathroom were not that well-vacuumed and there was some stuff on the floors. The caulk in the tub looked like it was worn and starting to develop mold in a spot. The plastic shower curtain did not reach the top of the tub and was barely contained by the cloth curtain. The room itself felt a little cramped due to layout and the TV was sideways to the bed and couch. I was also amused to see that they had an I-Home in the room, which takes me back many years. It's USB connection did not work to charge my phone, so don't forget your charging cords.
We were tired after a long drive and looked forward to a good night's sleep. I was awakened at 5:30am by clattering and voices in the hall. We should realized that our room was rather close to the breakfast areas and there was a fair bit of noise heard in the room as they prepared for it.
It wasn't a horrible stay, but the property seems a bit dated and Marriot should invest in some upgrades.
