The properly is impeccably maintained and the amenity around the riverbank is respectful of its natural setting. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful and the service is first class. Definitely coming back here.

The Host and other Staff are very friendly and helpful; the property is in a beautiful part of Warburton. There are mountain views all around and the Yarra river flows at the back of the property, which you can actually hear. The breakfast ritual of Kookaburras landing on the verandah to eat their daily "treat", is a truly nice and real Australian experience.

The property is in such a peaceful setting it is easy to totally relax. Beautiful decor and lovely grounds to stroll around with the Yarra River running close by.

Beautiful, scenic place. A little getaway gem! The room was a little cosy but the balcony and views gave you the wide open spaces. Lovely staff too!

Stayed here for Elton John concert. Very good location and lovely staff. Service slow bus to fully booked hotel. Would have been nice if there was wine or a mini bar in the fridge as we arrived back at 9.30 as the concert was canceled due to rain and the bar was closed. Overall pleasant stay.

A gem in Warburton
This was our second visit to Oscar’s on the Yarra and it has changed hands since then. Although it was good on our first visit, the new owners have made improvements that make the experience even better. The property is in a beautiful setting and we particularly enjoyed sitting on our balcony overlooking the river. Breakfast each morning was very good as was the one evening meal that we had during our stay. The owners and staff were very friendly and helpful. We will certainly be making a return visit.

Good value
Booked because of good reviews for the restaurant but as I was one of only 3 people staying that night the restaurant menu was limited. However, pleasant meal, not quite as good as expectations.

A very relaxing place indeed it was Humble, honest, friendly staff , focused on good ol’ fashioned timeless simplicity, down to earth people serving down to earth people, great quality product, totally non pretentious, quiet, relaxing game of pool, lounge room, supports local growers and products, good food and beverage served properly, close to river, laughing kookaburras right on the balcony, yellowtailed black cockatoos and saw lots of other birds , magnificent huge shady tree We will return

It was lovely! Great location, with easy access to wineries and the redwood forest. The rooms are lovely and clean; we stayed in the apartment which was private and spacious. The restaurant was good, especially the breakfast. The staff were the standout! They were really friendly and accomodating, nothing was too difficult for them. We’ll definitely be back!

The property is in a beautiful spot and the staff are very friendly and welcoming. It felt like i was staying in a large bnb with a sitting room you could relax in or the games room where you could have a game of pool or watch tv. The restaurant was well set out and whilst there we had a wine and cheese tasting. I would definitely stay there again.

The staff were amazing. Very friendly and always available for a chat or recommendations of things to do in the area. The rooms were warm and comfortable and the breakfast was great. We loved staying at Oscars and will definitely be back.

The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, even giving us a late checkout on our day of departure. However, as we were hoping for a relaxing stay it was quite disappointing to discover that the walls are paper thin and the doors aren’t sound proof. This meant we were woken up on the first day by other guests talking in the hallway at 8am and by our neighbours having a shower at 7am the following day. Not a place to stay if you are looking for a sleep in!

Room small but comfortable bed very comfy. The river is beautiful and lovely drives in a beautiful spot. Room needs to have more soundproofing because some people don’t know how to be quiet walking along hallways in an older built building. And there are some places that children should not be allowed especially when parents don’t care and let them free range. No parents and allowed to run up and down the hallways. This was not the hotel fault as they were asked numerous times to be quiet. Please parents this is not a place to stay with children out of respect for other guests wanting a peaceful stay away.
