Loved the convenience to the beach. Did not like how they said we were getting a balcony room when our room had a little ledge could not sit out on it and two big air handliers as our view. When asked to change rooms was told all the rooms were like that. Breakfast could have been better. Short supplies and staff. Under contruction. But the convenience to the beach made it worth the stay.

This property is going through a majority renovation currently. No workout area,no downstairs restrooms and generally noisy and dirty conditions. I wouldn't recommend staying there until the renovation is completed. It will be nice when everything is completed but until then go somewhere else.

Very clean space. Close proximity to beach, like a garden walk to get there (like most of the island). Friendly staff.

The best thing about the hotel is the closeness to Coligny Beach area. Major complaints: the pillows are the size of throw pillows on a couch. Standard size pillows should be standard. I also did not appreciate being harassed by salespeople in the lobby all day the entire duration of the trip. We started sneaking in by the pool to avoid them. Awkward.

This place was under disorganized, low qulity remodeling, failing to ever secure the building during my 4 night stay, no ceiling finish or consealment in the lobby, wires hanging, gaps in lobby floor tile from demo'd walls, no caution, failing to hit any mark better than poor. my room wasnt even finished, there was an 8" square hole in the wall, unsealed sheetrock patches, multiple holes inside the shower from a botched door installation, a dirty wingback chair, the smoke detector signaled dead battery one night for a couple minutes in the middle of the night, seized desk-chair-wheels (this was a working trip) the fitted sheets didnt fit, the door was beeping randomly, failing the key card multiple times per day, the fire escape / stairs have a failing, strobing light at the top of one flight and crumbling, shaky concrete steps, cold coffee, cold "hot water" next to the coffe, no decaf, buscuits but no gravy, And... my girlfrind left me. but expedia mentioned none of these things, and the staff was shamless, unskilled and detached, The "grand" should be closed. It is not currently hospital. 03/25/24 hbd rlu 💜

The website, Expedia & the Grand Hilton site, fail to mention that every inch of the hotel is under major construction/renovation. Want to be woken up by 8am to the sound of hammers, hoping for a massive headache due to painting being done immediately outside your room door, or perhaps you want to eat breakfast under drywalled ceilings with random access points cut into them - then this is your place to be! The room was a mismatched montage of half way finished updates & the wooden bed frames protruded inches past the mattress, who doesn't love getting out of bed by swinging your legs over the side like a gymnast dismounting from the vault to avoid a broken toe. The list could go on, save yourself headaches and do not waste your hard earned money here.

Unfortunately the property was under construction ( which wasn’t disclosed when we made our reservation). With wires hanging down from the ceiling in the foyer etc. Didn’t realize until 2 am with 2 rooms noisily partying on our floor that we discovered the telephones in the rooms were not working. Called hotel using our cell phones but front desk did not answer which meant getting dressed and going down to the front desk to advise them of the noise. Which I am happy to say was resolved quite quickly by the front desk person. I am sure once the Reno’s are finished that the guest experience will be much better. Don

The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean, modern and very comfortable. It was a short walk to the beach and shopping. Location was optimum for us. The building was undergoing renovation in the public areas but it did not bother us.

Pros: Location was convenient to Coligny Plaza and beach access. Room was clean and we had room service everyday. Cons: Limited parking. Poor lighting in room. Poor internet service. Dining area was small and seating limited. Food, while satisfactory, was not refilled/replenished. (Ex. Breakfast was 7 - 10 AM; eggs and sausage bins were empty at 8 AM. Still under construction. Would not stay at this location again.

False advertising. The pictures were not even close to what is was. Dark, shabby, creepy. The lighting in the rooms was non-existent (so you couldn't see how bad it was). Receptionist was terrible. The pictures of breakfast dining room and food stations - didn't exist! One room had a roach crawling across the bathroom door. One entire floor was under construction. None of this was indicated on their website. The pictures they showed of rooms were light & bright, not the truth.

We’ve stayed here before and it’s a fine property. Not amazing, but good walkability and has always been clean and pleasant. While I’m assuming it’s temporary, the place was a mess. A ton of construction and painting. Ice machines and unplugged/unavailable because of construction. Dust and debris everywhere. Zero water available at breakfast (machine broken). Just not near the same.

The property was under obvious construction. The sprinkler heads in the rooms were covered up with tape. The first room we were in, the latch for the lock was broken and the balcony door would not lock. We were given another room, the desk clerk was very helpful with this. There were obvious areas within the rooms that suggested the construction was not complete, however the rooms were being made available.

My stay was great but my disappointment was I paid for a room with balcony with two chairs but the room had a sliding door that opens to a ledge, no chairs because it has no room like a balcony.
