Beach was wonderful; kept clean. All restaurants fabulous. Pools were thoughtfully designed. Water, soda and beer left in room refrigerators daily. When it rained hard the hallways flooded; we thought the floors should be mopped sooner. Warm water was hit and miss. Would have liked hair conditioner and makeup remover pads in rooms. Despite these few things will definitely be back.

First time travelling with our 1 year old, and we loved our stay. Big shout out to Luis the man at the front desk for exceptional customer service.

Great place, beautiful clean and unbelievable staff!!! Great service at all times. Excellent dining areas, several choices from buffet style to French, Italian, Mexican and Asian. Beach area beautiful and clean same as the pool. Only two things. Need Little update inside the rooms like closets and dresser. Handrail from the stairs too. The next one, is outside the property, walking in the beach, there is an area next to the resorts (because next to Jewel is another one) it was several bags of garbage that really was very sad to see because, the resort area was so beautiful and clean but just a few steps away from it, it was another story. I know this is not responsibility to the resorts but will be amazing to know, the resorts care about their surroundings.

The bell staff left our bags sitting outside for over five hours. We had to carry bags of things we didn’t want stolen on the beach. Went to beach for five hour before we could check in. Bugs in the sink both dead and alive bugs in the sink and bathroom, toilet did not flush right, lights in the room very dim, the next morning the main light did not work at all. Bed hard, sheets felt sandy, pillows are probably from the 70’s. Only here for one day because flight changed not sure about amenities. Waiter on the beach was friendly, person cooking food on beach was also nice, the bellman that took our bags to the room was nice. People at the front desk were rude!

Despite of being and old building, most of the areas specially the outside areas are beautifully maintained. The lobby is nice and elegant, the gardens are awesome, the pools are immaculate, the rooms although old are extremely clean, the furniture needs some updating.

This property has nothing to visit on the outside surrounding area of the property. The food menu was very limited. there was an expensive extra cost if you had a taste for lobster etc. Any extra services were very expensive, massages or day overpriced) ( Buffet was low key. You would think as a Caribbean Island you would get some fruit blended drinks=nope. The bars didn't even have basic bananas to blend. Drinks were limited and water down. If you have any walking disabilities, you wouldn't be able to get to 2nd FL restaurants. The positive to this property: the grounds were clean and well kept.

We upgraded to the honeymoon suite. The view of the beach and the ocean was stunning. The room lost its charm when we could not get away from the loud music from loudspeakers at the pools right in the Center of all the rooms. The music started up every morning at 10 am and it didn’t stop until after dark. There was no peace and relaxing even with the windows closed. There were guest in their older years as well as children that I’m sure did not appreciate the non stop music that we couldn’t get away from. We would go to swim or sun on the beach and we were bombarded with people selling excursions and massages, cigars and hair braiding. It was to a point that one was trying to sell us some thing and two more were waiting to try right behind them. Every day they would try. It’s a nice location but there wasn’t much relaxing. One other issue I had was that there was no real juice. All powdered sugar mix for the cocktails and breakfast had the same orange powder water. I thought it was a renovated resort but it is in need of renovations to stop water leaking from the ceiling in the rooms and the hallway. The pools were very nice. Looks like they were in good condition.

I think we were supposed to have a room facing the beach, but didn’t. Overall it was nice but it was difficult enjoying the beach with ppl constantly trying to sell stuff. An ATM that dispenses US currency would be helpful since that is preferred there. The room was clean and the staff were nice.

The beach sand is great quality. The food is good except Japan restaurant. Coral restaurant's staff are kind and gentle. But the Sales people of beach are scary. They threatened me to buy activities. Why are they angry at me?. I just walk on the beach. The staff of towel counter always yelled me to buy parashute activity. I just need to enjoy relax. Some staff requested money for a tip. Of course I gave money to him. I hope hospitality business need smile in heart. some good , some bad.

The staff was fantastic! The coffee is excellent. The upgrade to a honeymoon suite was very appreciated. Had an issue with the A/C. It was obnoxiously loud. Despite several calls to maintenance, the issue was never resolved. Overall the property is a bit dated and needs an nice overhaul:

Buildings and rooms need attention, there are broken things around. Buildings do not have elevators so upper level staying means you need to use the stairs. Not very stroller friendly. Rest is good.

I initially booked 1 adult/1 child with trip insurance. M 2nd child decided to come with later on before the free cancelation expired. I wasnt able to add an add'l child to the Expedia booking without canceling it or Id lose the trip insurance. I reached out to the hotel and they confirmed I could add one more for 150. I conformed it would be an add'l total of 150. and they said yes. We arrived and upon check in didn't honor VIP status or upgrades but said not to worry about the 3rd child and keep 2 ppl listed on reservation. 2 days later Oscar Santana, the mgr confronted me and was rude/curt stating there were 2 ppl on the res but we had 3, as if I was trying to scam the resort. He said it would be 900. extra. I said I was told it would be 150. I showed him the email exchange that I was quoted 150. I asked if we could work something out. He refused and said if I did not pay 900. by that night we would be kicked off the property. I am a mom w 2 girls. He was so inappropriate and trying to strong-arm me. I reached out to the resort via email with the existing email chain ad they said its 150.day. They bait and switch. In addition I had to file a dispute w my cc company bc they charged me more than the 900. claiming it was cc transaction fees and they were not. Also got scammed in gift shop charging me more than what was quoted. Food terrible, barely could get a spot at the beach, not relaxing a loud everywhere. If you want a peaceful vacation this isn't it. Never going back

Clean, Nice staff, good food! Closed to Coco Bongo and the bars around it. 20 min awsy from PUJ airport. The property is a little old (but good enough to Stay there) and it's a little boring during the evening. The disco is old, with no good music and empty. In other words, excellent in many aspects except for the evenings...

Beautiful, walkable and staffed with amazing people, we had a wonderful time! The rooms are spacious but not super updated, but that was not a deal breaker for us. The whole set-up gels, the food is very good and the place has the most pleasant vibe. Loved it.

Si much wasted potential. The place is gorgeous but so run down. The food is tasty but not a lot of options. The concierge is the worst I have ever experienced. They do not help, and spend their time just looking for girls to hit on and flirt. I requested a softer pillow several times, it never came. I emailed about a celebration they responded and ignored my request. Getting a cup of coffee at the buffet took 4 asks. The entertainment staff is good. But the front desk and concierge are terrible.
