This is NOT a "complaint", just an observation: it was a little awkward having to remember to take your shoes off and having to put them on at the door on the way out, especially, when you were changing shoes and like to use a shoehorn and then you have to carry it around all day/night.. Perhaps providing a shoehorn in the front hall would be helpful.
I understand not wearing shoes in the house to protect the carpets, etc, even if a bit unusual, but the transition every time you went in, or out, was a little awkward.
A minor inconvenience, however. It was a very nice place & we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
