It has a dusty and musty smell, there are many humidity problems on the ceilings, it is not a good environment. It is full of many personal items everywhere and everything looks very messy. The hostess had a bad attitude when I arrived, my flight was delayed, I notified her through Expedia. The entrance is uncomfortable, if it rains you get wet opening and closing the padlock. Does not accept credit cards. Dirty carpets, dangerous desk chair in poor condition. $20 per day additional and in cash to use the a/c and it doesn't cool well, it has a bad smell. It has a lot of rules, you even have to take out the trash.

Dear Leonard,I know you and your wife very much enjoyed staying with us until you found out there was an extra charge for the air condition! We do include both wall and standing fans in the price which most people are happy with. I don’t have a website but as we discussed with Expedia whilst you were here their listings can be misleading - and I have asked them many times to state loud and clear the extra charge for AC!They showed us there is an arrow which you have to click for the download box to reveal the charges for AC which you had missed! I’m afraid that’s the downfall of technology if like me, we are not sure how it works!We wish you and your wife all the very best for 2024

Wasn’t too bad; just sucked that I didn’t do any further research in regards to how far it was from everything. I was under the impression that I could be able to walk around. Definitely need a taxi. But besides from that, it was cool.

Hi Daunte, thank you for your feedback!! Most people LOVE it here because its soo close to everything but very quiet and peaceful too!! Lots of people enjoy walking to the shops, restaurants, Bridgetown, the best beach in Barbados, Carlisle Bay, and my stepfather loved to walk to Kensington Oval, the other side of Brdgetown, to watch Cricket at 82!! But if you don't enjoy walking then we have buses and taxis and I offer guests a cheaper than taxi shuttle option too!

The apartment is located in a private house located in a nice area and quiet of Bridgetown. The house is very near both the major freeway and the downtown. The place has a private entrance and everything needed for a quiet and relaxing stay.

A fantastic time surely to be repeated! We were looking for a nice place to stay in Barbados, outside of a resort experience, to learn more about the culture, the people. The Barbados CHI Centre was just that! The cottage-like house is situated in the middle of a magnificent garden (some times the man looking after it may be around an give you a tour, thanks Box!) in a quiet cul-de-sac, and only a 30-min walk to the city, 5 to a busy road where minivans and buses stop. We used it as our headquarters while visiting Bridgetown. For us, having also the opportunity of interacting with the hosts, Ellen and Christian, was what made our stay supreme! They went above and beyond in making sure our stay was great, and they definitely did. We felt really welcomed and definitely come back if we are in the area.

A very unique setting , very different to where I would normally stay. But unique turned out to be extremely rewarding . Very quiet and naturistic settings in an old elegantly put together house. Its like a plantation house with lots of space .The owner closes the deal for me . Christy was extremely friendly and helpful , always willing to get anything that is needed . Chi Center is away from the beaten path but well within reach of downtown Bridgetown. Its the gem waiting to be discovered

For me with a damaged ankle i had to pay for a taxi to get me home every night. A bit hippie but Chrisy would help as much she can. Ran out of toilet roll. Overall the next time i go i would get a place closer to the beach

Thank you for your feedback Malcolm,it was lovely having you to stay with us! As soon as my Guests let me know what they need I will supply it! I did provide you with a toilet paper immediately you told me you had ran out. And you were aware that my car was with the mechanic much longer than I expected so that was an inconvenience for me too! Yes it would have been better for you with a bad ankle to be closer to the beach, but a lot of my guests prefer to be away from the noise and bustle and relax in our delightful Organic tropical fruit orchard and gardens and enjoy the peace and quiet of the Diplomatic area where we are located, as well as our proximity to Bridgetown for shopping and the Oval Cricket Stadium! lMost of my Guests enjoy the walk to the beach and others prefer to get a taxi or hire a car! The money you save by staying at the CHI Centre permits them to have more choices!

Just needed something to rest my jead
It was good. Just needed a play to rest my head while away for a couple of days. Everything from the hotel to staff was just wonderful.

Guest House -Stayed in February 2018
The natural rustic concept is appreciated. Very friendly host. However website description of property requires more details so persons can make a more informed decision. The Chi Centre is a private Guest house. Palmeto apartment is in fact a room. There is no ensuite bathroom but an adjoining bathroom that you access by stepping outside. Privacy limited. Room cleanliness required work. Kitchen is shared with other guests and not very clean-musty smell. Furnishing etc requires some maintenance or replacement. Very low ceiling. Persons sensitive to this, will find the room suffocating. Many amenities excluded. Whatever is provided is at a separate cost eg use of Air Conditioning. Disappointing stay. Details on website not a proper description of guest house and experience was very disappointing.

Negative Energy at Chi Centre
Misleading, Money Oriented, Rust inside Kittle, mold smell, poor to no housekeeping, unkempt garden and very questionable host are some of the words that canvas my stay at the CHI Center. Its all about the money there (pay as you go) for example Changing of bed sheets and laundry is done once a week or it is overpriced plus prepaid & towel never gets changed.

Oh dear, I'm afraid because you booked through a High Street Travel Agent you actually didn't get to read our Description that we are an ECO-friendly destination, so we do not provide clean towels and sheets every day and we do not provide maid service either. Your apartment is meticulously cleaned before you arrive and also when you depart. (The dark spot in the kettle is not a rust spot but just slight discolouration, which we have now changed for a new one! Had you mentioned it to us at the time it would have been changed immediately! During your stay with us we provide the equipment for you to maintain the cleanliness of your apartment, or you can request Maid Service at $25US, it's your choice! The gardens are not manicured, but they are well maintained in a "Natural" way! Most of our Guests really enjoy our Tropical Organic Gardens with our Culinary & Medicinal Herbs as well as our tropical Fruits trees and they love to spot the wild Monkeys, Parrots and Hummingbirds visiting us from time to time! Unfortunately the daily service you require costs 3 times the price we charge in the very expensive local hotels! We offer "Value for Money" in our reasonably priced apartments! Thank you for your feedback, we always want to do everything to please our Guests!

Nice, quiet and clean apartment style hotel
Rooms were clean and comfortable. Airy and comfortable with just fans.Clean and neat as a button. Management and staff were very helpful when needed.

Tranquil location
Christy's house is a haven of alternative living away from the beach resort world. Homely furnishings and an abundance of plants give an artistic, bohemian ambience. Christy will meet you at the airport and is on hand to organise trips, services, taxis etc and her breakfasts are delicious - fresh, and prepared with fruits from the expansive grounds around her house. Otherwise, a self-contained kitchen has amenities to prepare your own food. No air-conditioning but the trade-off is a tranquil location where the only disruption at night will be the noise of the crickets and frogs as you sway in a hammock watching the night flies.
