I called to cancel my reservation and the woman said my trip wasn’t even booked. Then she told me she’d call me back after she got ahold of her manager and she didn’t. But, this morning it showed I was still charged for the room so I’m not sure how that happened if “I wasn’t even booked in the system”

I do not like that there Pool wasn’t open because they roof fell in a year and it’s still not fix and they Advertise They have a pool but it’s NOT IN USE. This is the reason I booked this room!!!

Reasons my kids were disappointed (and insisted I should review): the pool was closed, the room was dirty, the fire alarm was missing from the ceiling, no breakfast, no WiFi, and the bed top blanket was very thin (and gross). Happy to give them a “typical hotel experience” so they can grow up jaded and be delighted by even nominal hotel amenities. (For it’s cheapness, closeness to Chicago and it being a night where we checked in very late and left very early, it was serviceable, though).

Clean it up
It look like the hotel was in the middle of a remodel with no signage advising such. The carpet along the way to the room had what appeared to be bleach stains next to almost every room door. I had to ask for towels for the room. The front desk attendants didn’t seem very helpful.

Dirty air conditioning units and ice machine had mold growing in the bottom of it. No WiFi provided and TVs were old with snowy reception

Horrible They give us a room with no heat nd internet connection then give us a room across from me when I asked to be upstairs. I feel like they are racist. The room they moved us too still no internet connection the pool is down most horrible experience in a hotel that I ever been too

Couldn’t reach hotel to let them know I wouldn’t be in till mid morning. When I arrive it takes someone 20 minutes to attend to me. The luggage cart was broke. The guy who checked me in, watched me struggle getting all my luggage out. Carpet was nasty, Room smelt funky. Door and walls damaged. Lock not very secure. Not once in my seven day stay did they clean my room or make my bed. Not sure if that was good or bad. Trash never emptied. Key kept being deactivated. Chair in room nasty. Towels looked dingy.

I went specifically to take a swim since hotel.com was advertising a pool I get there check in get comfortable and went to the pool just to be disappointed there was no pool the pool room was trashed so I wasted my good money on nothing then the rooms are mediocre the beds should be removed and replaced ASAP I’ve never seen a actually bed box spring look so nasty and dirty until I went to the roadway inn i will not be going back like ever also the toilets should be cleaned a tad bit better starting off with getting the back of the toilet and around it on the floor

Save your money and sleep in your car!!!
Room was disgusting, the smell was terrible, beds were uncomfortable, pubic hairs left in the shower, peephole didn’t work, floors were dirty. Staff lied to me 10 min prior to booking about there being a hot tub. The reason I chose this hotel was because I wanted to relax in a hot tub. There was Ice outside both of the doors. They took the time to print sheets of paper warning about the ice but didn’t bother to put down some salt. Reservation was non refundable. I would have rather slept in my car.

The pool area was ice cold. My room stayed cold, as well as the hallways. We had to ask for towels in which a work went in a room that had towels all on the floor folded some and brought us towels. The Wifi did not work and the room smelled of smoke, mold and mildew. I really wish i could get my money back. We picked the location for a pool we couldn't use.

I know this hotel is under new management and I was hoping to see improvements. When did this hotel start requiring a $40 deposit even for Expedia prepaid guest. This was not required the last time I was here. Bed spreads were tattered and stained. Location is great for me but I don’t think I’ll return.

The rooms are dingy. The comforters have stains. Air conditioning barely works (I stayed in three different rooms). Check in takes FOREVER....except for the female that works there...she’s quick and sharp.

Room had bugs crawling the walls when I cut on the lights in the middle of the night. Vending machines was down. The carpet on the 1st floor hallway was filthy. Don’t flat iron your hair in the room because the housekeepers will accuse you of smoking cigarettes when it’s time to checkout.

I arrived back to the hotel at 5am. Exhausted, I told the front desk guy I wanted an extr night so I didn’t have to wake up and check out at 11. He refused to let me pay then. Theanager came at 9 am, woke me up, and asked for payment then. I was upset. I tried to put the night before,But clearly he was incompetent. I don’t recommend this hotel.

Not much to like. The gentleman that checked us in didn't talk other than to ask for the things he needed. I had to ask if he needed anything else. Was very slow to return my license and CC. The swimming pool was closed and doesn't have continental breakfast. It looks like a very nice hotel and was not even busy when we arrived.

New management within the last few days and no breakfast as advertised. Pool was not really heated and didn't seem too clean. Just seems like an old location that needs some perking up. But the beds were very comfortable. I found a pair of someone else's underwear in the room that housekeeping probably just forgot and some giggling took place. Also a couple of bugs. I like nature, though. Quiet room. Hotel is right behind Cracker Barrel and really close to McDonald's. The Expedia deal helped leave money for buying breakfast.

I stayed in the "Suite". The couch bed had no mattress in it so sitting on it was like sitting on a bunch of hard metal tubes. The t.v. only had like 10 channels and the picture was fuzzy. The second t.v. didnt even work. I definately wont be staying here again.

Overpriced - check in was fine once one person behind the counter decided to allow them to attend to customers. No mini fridge. TV reception was poor. Beds were not very comfortable. For less money it would have been acceptable.Was supposed to be inside pool- never saw it or signs for it. Breakfast was coffee only we expected something more

Take the good with the bad!
We got the room last minute and the check in was a little crazy and the whole hotel was booked. The front desk girl although very overwhelmed was great. I was quite annoyed that my bathroom was clearly not likely cleaned or used by staff and left to sit and not flushed . There were only 2 towels and one bed only had a sheet. We couldn’t get a blanket as we were told that it had been to busy to do laundry. It worked out as the air in the room didn’t work great and the TV didn’t work at all! When I told the staff the next day because the person ahead of me had the same complaint. She said oh they are like a computer u just have to unplug it and plug it back in.. umm no.. The hallways smelled like cat urine, but my room appeared clean except for the issue in the bathroom.

FORGET IT.
The room and amenities are stripped. Bare bones. The area is high crime with many police calls to this hotel in last year. A murder in parking lot earlier this year. Would not recommend to my worst enemy.

Nice place-but cigarette smell in rooms
We are a non-smoking family. We were shown 3 different rooms but the stale-smoke smell embedded in the room. The attendant sprayed the room with some aerosol. If we were smokers there would not have been any issue. These are non-smoking rooms and too many people have smoked in them against motel policy-rules. They require a $75 deposit. Unfortunately we prepaid our room in advance because we chose not to stay there because solely of the smoke smell and we had our children with.

I got what I paid for, I was charged a $75 deposit when I first checked in, on case there was a problem with the room after I left. Two reason why I chose this Inn was for WiFi and free breakfast, I got neither one. The carpet were old, damage and moldy. There was a foul odor in the hallway, the staff was rude toward guest. Workout equipment didn’t work, I was highly disappointed. I WILL NEVER stay at another Rodeway Inn , I would rather had stayed at a Motel Six, there wasn’t much of a difference. To other potential guest, pay for a better motel.

Very polite staff, convenient location. The property however does not have feel or look clean. The carpet is not well kept. Behind the table had build up of food and dust. The hallway carpet was stained.
