Charming stay in Watou
We have stayed at Het Wethuys several times and will definitely continue to do so. Breakfast and dinner is good, the rooms are comfortable, the family and people that is "operating" the place are fabulous. Combined with a spacious parking place (old market place) right outside the hotel ... it couldn't be better.

Beste, Het zou niet mogen geoorloofd zijn 'anoniem' te reageren. Schande voor Expedia die dit accepteert!! Er zijn slechts 2 kamers op de 2e verdieping elk met hoge plafonds met prachtige balken. Ik veronderstel dat u hiermee 'zolderkamer' bedoelt... Bovendien hebben beide kamers elk resp. 3 veluxramen en 1 veluxraam en 1 gewoon raam, waarvan minstens 1 op gezichtshoogte. Ik vrees dat u dit alles fantaseert ook mede gezien dat de verluchting werd nagezien door de Vlaamse hotelinspectie. Ik vraag daarom aan Expedia deze gastenbeoordeling te schrappen.

Tof hotelletje voor 1 overnachting.
Tof verblijf. Toffe ontvangst. Oud huis, maar dat heeft ook z'n charme. Ontbijt zou wat uitgebreider mogen zijn.

Proprietor was incredibly kind and helpful. She accomodated us with breakfast before the kitchen opened becaise she knew we had to be on the road early.

Wonderful place!
There were 4 of us (my 2 daughters and cousin) in our group and we absolutely loved this gem of an inn. It was a delightful surprise to stay in this historic place and speak with the owner/innkeeper about the history of the area and the inn itself. Ms Barbara presented the tastiest and most varied breakfast as well, which was included in our price. It is located a little out of the way from busy Ypres (maybe 15-20 minutes by car), but well worth it.

Charming stay in Watou
My wife and I stayed at this hotel for 4 days during Easter 2018. We have previously stayed at several hotels in this area, but it seems like we have found our dream hotel this time. The hotel is a quite small family operated hotel. It includes a good complimentary breakfast, and you may as well eat dinner, and drink the local beer there. (They even have their own hotel beer which in no way depreve the opinion that this area has the best beer in the world.) The area has great parking facilites just 10 meters away from the hotel. They were expanding the number of rooms and installing an elevator when we visited, but this did not spoil our experience at all. We were a bit sceptical about staying at a 2 star hotel, but the scepticism disappeared as soon as we entered the hotel, and was met by the most friendly family in the world. The room we stayed in was spacious with a comfortable bed, a nice bath room and even a refrigerator where we could cool down local specialities (i.e. beers) and taste the in the room. We will definitely stay here at our next stay in this area.

This is a cosy, comfortable and friendly hotel
We like this hotel, hence our return visit. It is dog-friendly, which is important to us. It is cosy, comfortable and friendly with good food. This time, even though the owner and staff were battling with 'flu' as well as refurbishment we were still made very welcome.

Great location, friendly staff!
Great location in the town of Watou. The staff was very friendly, and the room clean, spacious and comfortable....except there was a heat wave going on and the room was quite warm at night even with all of the windows open. I would happily stay there again, however, as the location was great for my travel to Ypres, Dunkirk, Westvleteren and other historic World War I sites in the area.

I'd stay here again.
We were welcomed wholeheartedly, had a lovely dinner and a pleasant night. The setup seems geared to winter and in June we were quite hot even in the room. The room was quirky but totally comfortable and included a mini fridge.. That said the lady (owner?) was really friendly, and even laid on an early breakfast for us as we were leaving early to catch a ferry. I am going impressed by the service and intend to stay here again next year.

Leuk hotel tegenover het dorpsplein
Heb hier last minute geboekt. Betreft een restaurant met een klein hotel. Het is een hotel dat gedreven wordt door een familie, verwacht derhalve geen 24/7-service. Het was midden in de week, buiten het seizoen dus ik was de enige gast. Het is geen modern hotel maar het was, keurig schoon en sfeervol. De kamer was groot met een grote badkamer en alle benodigde faciliteiten. Het ontbijt was goed verzorgd met verschillende soorten warme broodjes, vleeswaren, kaas, zoetwaren en heerlijke koffie. Het is gratis parkeren op het dorpsplein tegenover het hotel. Ik zou het hotel een ieder aanbevelen.

Friendly welcoming and comfortable
Staff friendly and spoke good English. Rooms very clean and comfortable, breakfast excellent. Nicely situated on the town square and very dog friendly.

Da non credere. Disperso nel nulla sulla linea di confine fresco/belga, siamo capitati in questo b&b a conduzione familiare. Accoglienza ottimale, camera semplice, ma grande e arredata con buon gusto. Ma il top lo abbiamo toccato con la colazione. Di tutto e di più, che nemmeno in un quattro stelle. Ottimo anche il ristorante. Se da Lille state salendo verso Ostenda, fermatevi. Ne vale la pena. RZ
