Dear Paola, Thank you for choosing Continental Forum Bucuresti for your stay.Regarding your comments about the heat, our hotel has a centralized air conditioning system that works on heating or cooling (not simultaneously) depending on the season. Thus, the room thermostats can adjust the temperature: warmer/less warm when the air conditioning works on warm air, or cooler/less cold when the air conditioning works on cold air. We are aware of this unpleasant situation and are looking for technical solutions for the existing equipment. We highly regard your recommendations and we already took steps to solve the problem, our technical department contacting the maintenance team of the air conditioning system and starting the summer mode much earlier that initial schedule. Close to Christmas market but poor condition
Positives: hotel walking distance to Christmas market, reception staff nice and polite. Negatives: room smelled strongly of smoke as non smokers this was extremely off putting, duvet was for a single (twin) bed placed on a double bed so it didn’t cover the mattress. Hair dryer cut out after 15 seconds, it would then need a 5min break before using for 15 seconds and cutting out again. Room could have been a lot cleaner. Limited items served for breakfast and not much left if you arrive after 9am. Coffee machine didn’t work and lots of people were complaining. Male server at breakfast left us feeling very uncomfortable as a group of 4 women. He asked a lot of personal questions, kept kissing our hands, touching our shoulders and made two of the ladies move up so he could sit next to them on the bench, whilst still trying to finish our breakfast. We couldn’t get out of there fast enough. We did not complain about any of these things during our stay so to be fair to the hotel they were not given an opportunity to rectify the issues but we were staying just two nights for our friends 40th birthday and did not want to waste time talking to hotel managers and moving rooms/repacking etc when we had a limited time to get out and sightsee.

First of all we wish your friend happy birthday!We are sorry that you did not have a pleasant stay with us and we understand that the incorrect functioning of the hair dryer and smell in your room caused you discomfort during your stay. We recommend that you report any unpleasant situations to the front desk during your stay, and colleagues will make every effort to rectify them on the spot. Our team has additionally checked the room and we have taken steps to change the hair dryer. For the cigarette smell we understand it is an unpleasant situation, which is why we have implemented an additional charge for guests who smoke in their room.Your reservation was for Deluxe Family Double room, which means 2 beds 140x200. For this type of beds the pilot is for 1 person.We understand that you were dissatisfied with our breakfast. In terms of breakfast options, we offer about 83 products daily. In order to guarantee quality and continuity, we have signed contracts at hotel chain level with suppliers who have the possibility of national coverage in Romania and with local producers. During the serving interval, the breakfast staff will supplement the dishes whenever necessary, depending on consumption. If groups of guests are arriving at the same time for breakfast, there may be short periods of time when some dishes are missing until refill. We know about the coffee machine, we have already remedied this issue together with our supplier Julius Meinl.Our aim is to provide a safe and pleasant environment for all our guests. Upon receiving your complaint, we immediately started a thorough investigation into the matter. Please be assured that we do not tolerate any form of inappropriate behavior by our employees.We recommend that you report any unpleasantness to the front desk during your stay, and our colleagues will do their best to remedy unpleasant situations on the spot as far as possible. Thank you for choosing our hotel and we look forward to the opportunity to restore your confidence in our hotel.
