Very good hotel in a good location in walking distance to the city center. Secluded, so quiet. Free parking was a plus. Good choiced breakfast buffet. All in all, good value for money.

Great gym and pool. Food and drink was fine. Really nice room. Only slight issue was parking my van was a bit tight. But not a problem.

Friendly Comfy Excellent Customer Service
Over all it was a good experience. The only thing thatvlet it doen was that the shower overflowed in the morning! Spoke to the lady on reception and made them aware and they offered a free nights stay immediately next time we booked to stay without any hassle.

Great find!!!!
Quite a modern hotel, good sized rooms and we got a great deal on the booking. Initially thought the food on the menu was expensive but, when our order arrived, we realised we were paying for quality. Really enjoyed our stay and would stay again if we revisited the area.

Been a week since I sent in a complaint via email, you responded with an SLA of 48 hours but here I am leaving you a review as no response from yourselves. Issues with my stay:- 1) Room I was given had a smell to it, I couldn't stay in it for a minute - no other rooms were avaliable so had no chice but to take an accessible room. 2) Second room given (the next day) toilet wouldnt stop filling. 3) You posted a letter through the door for parking charge yet didnt bother to check Clubroom includes this, which leads me to my next point - 4) I paid for clubrooms never got given this when changing rooms (I made do). 5) No gluten free sausages nor sliced bread it's 2023 (I have been staying with you for the past 10 weeks) Yet you charge a whopping £12.50 for breakfast per day. Also shortage of bananas?? (I have managed to grab 1 over an 8 nights stay in 4 weeks). 6) Lighting in the room is dreadful (ladies if you are staying over pack a LED mirror) and 7) Towels! They only provide you with 1 bathsheet and 1 hand towel! 8) shower head in my second room was disgusting hadnt been cleaned for months. It had green mould on it. 9) QR code to chat to reception is a joke - they just dont bother acknowledging it.

Avoid as your room could be resold
I arrived at the hotel at 8pm to be told that my room had been relet and that the hotel was full. I had paid for the room in advance. Having just arrived back from a business trip in Belfast this was not acceptable. I had stayed in the hotel on the Thursday night and my car was paid till Sunday. The hotel never contacted me to advise they had relet my room and i arrive to find out. I am not familiar with the area, and as a single female traveler had to find alternative accommodation 42 miles away undertaking a dark and icy journey to the new hotel, over an hour away. The Village hotel didn’t seem bothered and blamed Hotels.com

Comfortable bed, decent breakfast, bar since refurb very good, could something with the windows to keep out the aircraft noise. Enjoyed my stay.

So disappointed. No towels for the family, no bedding for the extra bed for our family. The room was so hot and the fan didn’t work, the windows couldn’t open far enough to let out the heat and bathroom tap was leaking. Absolutely terrible experience. Will never go back. Do not stay here!

So have stayed here a few times, put in for late check out and got a letter the first night as my card wasnt chargef, went doenstairs & theu said yo pay when i check out so was fine. Got a letter again the morning i was checking out. Housekeeping opened the door at 11am despite late check out and apparently thry had no idea. Not the first time its happened whilst staying here so hence the review

Hotel in reasonable condition. Acceptable cleanliness . Was a bit early on arrival, maybe 40 minutes. , was told I’d have to pay £15 to check in early. That set the tone of my visit. Went to the bar to order food and drink instead. Waited…. Eventually someone appeared. Took my order and maybe looked in my direction once…. No attempt to upsell was made. Shame as I’d have loved onion rings too. Maybe even a dessert. Once food arrived was left well alone. Not much in the way of hospitality here. Once I got a room I found the smallest bathroom in history. No nice walk in shower as the pics. Tiny bath tub with a shower head you couldn’t get high enough to get your hair wet. No usb power points to charge anything. Remote control for the fan was missing. So it now has one speed and no swivel…

Everything was great except low flying aircraft every 7-8 mins up and till around 2 am then from 5 am, if its sleep you want I'd book else where, which is a shame as its a great hotel.

Good place for overnight before a flight.
The hotel is very good - clean, friendly and helpful staff, well cooked food which delivers a fairly basic menu with imagination and skilful cooking. The leisure complex is likewise clean and well appointed (although the changing rooms were a bit confusing for me as without my specs I'm very short-sighted ,- bigger more prominent signage please) The only criticism is that the restaurant, which is part of the bar, has nothing in it to absorb sound. Consisting entirely of hard surfaces, it was so noisy as to be quite uncomfortable in the evening when people had been drinking - breakfast wasn't so bad. Adding some soft furnishings: carpeting, curtains, cushioned chairs, would make a big difference.

Not the best
We arrived late around midnight was given a room which had clearly not been cleaned, the bed sheet were dirty, the floor had not been hovered and the toilet had not been cleaned, We went downstairs and were given another room easily by the nice man on reception. This was was clean but still very tired/worn. The whole hotel could do with some updating and cleaning.
