Basic hotel, Clean, welcoming, but sadly the restaurant was closed due to staff shortages. Breakfast good staff helpful. Very well located for access to the dockyard/port. Parking easy.

No view at all from our room ,no food other than breakfast which was average at best ,short on staff ,area had limited facilities ,but manager was very helpfull & did all he could to make our stay as good as he could

Not too bad
Hotel is in a secluded location but is quiet and easy to get to free parking with limited spaces. Lots of activities nearby and places to visit. The hotel exterior looks old but the interior is all modern the room seem to be newly modernised although the beds are are soft and bouncy. Service was ok there is a really cute receptionist. Install a carbon monoxide alarm in there is a kettle in the room with tea and coffee but no biscuits. The shower is a beard too cumbersome to use the water didn't appear to get too hot. Breakfast was a full English but disappointing to see there was no pastries or cakes.

The stay was nice The breakfast needs more variety as it was buffet, no choice of eggs only scrambled No offer of porridge. Staff need to interact with the guests more Not much heat from the radiator even tho it was on full

Hello there Anne, thank you for taking the time to review us. I'm sorry you felt the staff didn't interact enough with you and I will look into this. Porridge can be requested and cooked to order. We have limited our range due to staff shortages which are blighting the industry at the moment, hence our cafe being closed too. The central heating is on but this is an old building and some rooms take a while to heat up. Heaters are available from the reception if necessary. Hopefully we can improve things for you on your return. All the best and thank you for your comments

Does exactly as you would expect.
The hotel location was a little farther out from Weymouth than I had envisaged, and getting caught in rush hour driving along Chesil Beach didnt help. The hotel itself was clean and generally well maintained. The room was very spacious, having 2 single and a king size bed in it. The room had huge windows which made the room very light which was nice. I would personally have found a chair to be useful rather than just having to sit on a bed to watch tv or use my laptop. Lots of drawer space and an open hanging rail for clothes. The bathroom was a decent size and the shower very large, but the bathroom did have a strange damp odour too it. I was expecting a larger car park but found a space on the road outside which was lucky. Breakfast was alright ...it was a pretty basic buffet affair. 3 cereals, toast, some fruit and a full english breakfast buffet although it lacked fried egg, tomatoes, mushrooms, fried bread, and black pudding...I understand it is hard for smaller hotels to cater for everyone but out of that I would have expected a fried egg option along with the scrambled provided. The staff I encountered were friendly and helpful I still think it was a very good place to stay all in all

Good value hotel.
Friendly staff, good value, clean room and good location for exploring Portland (we used it as starting point for Portland section of South West Coast Path which passes nearby). Local area seems a little run down but not enough to have an impact on our stay.

I am classed as a silver member with free parking as said by you,let me point out the Aqua has 25 rooms but only 6 free parking spaces so i did'nt get free parking for the duration of my stay.

Great Hotel
Excellent stay, all the staff were friendly and helpful especially Jackie on reception. The room was comfortable and clean and the Breakfast was great. Parking limited but the car park just behind the hotel was reasonable and easily accessible. Would definitely stay again.

Mixed emotions
Staff were great and the room was bright and clean. Only issue was the connecting door between us and the next room. It offered no soundproofing whatsoever. Tv, conversations, kettle and even bathroom noise's could be heard clearly. As the hotel was full they couldn't offer us another room. We checked out a day early.

Great hotel!
Everything about this hotel was great. Staff were fantastic, breakfast was great, room was lovely and a reasonably priced bar for a hotel! Few MINOR issues. Took money off my card before I checked in. Pillows were like paving stones, flat and hard. Still using single use plastic cups in this day and age. Overall fantastic couple of nights in this lovely little hotel!

The staff were lovely and very helpful. Unfortunately the rooms were very basic, in our first room the toilet didn’t work, the second then had water pressure issues. It was a convenient location for us for a party though.

Good basic hotel
Clean, basic hotel close to the marina. Some noise from nearby rooms but that was no fault of the hotel. Breakfast was included and there is a bar and restaurant on site for evening meals. The biggest downside was the lack of parking, only 3 spaces allocated for the hotel, although there is a pay and display car park to the rear of the hotel.
