The description of the hotel on the website is not true. The photo of the hotel from the outside is confusing because the hotel looks different. There is no staff in the hotel all the time. We arrived and could not leave our things until 3 o'clock. Breakfast is very late. В 8.30. We warned that we were leaving at 8, but we paid for breakfast. Nothing was offered to us. The hotel is a 2

Fint og hyggeligt hotel. Lidt variation i morgenmaden ville ikke skade. Lidt problemer med bookningen / hotellet vedr. priser på turistskat og parkering ved afrejse …. Men blev klaret fint.

Nettes kleines Hotel
Nettes kleines Hotel in Monnickendam. Wer den Trubel in Amsterdam umgehen will kann hier übernachten. Das Hotel hat ein Restaurant, mit einem Michelin-Stern ausgezeichnet. Teuer aber vielleicht muss man das machen für den Stern? Der Ort ist beschaulich.

De kamer was prima en ontbijt ook prima ! Alleen de matras is echt aan vervanging toe! Ik ben iemand die altijd overal slaapt maar had echt pijn aan mijn rug en mijn man ook. En de ronde raampjes misschien zorgen dat die afgedekt kunnen worden? Veel licht in de kamer

L'hotel est particulièrement bien situé,dans un quartier très authentique. L'accès à Amsterdam en bus est facile et rapide. Le petit déjeuner est de qualité .

Ons verblijf was perfect. Parkeren op privé terrein achter het hotel. Mooie kamer met historische details en modern comfort. Vriendelijk personeel en buitengewoon lekker uitgeserveerd (!) ontbijt. Een echte aanrader dit hotel.

Historic quaint hotel
The hotel was perfect for our family of 5 and the hotel front desk clerk was fantastic! Mark made our stay. We very much appreciated the packed breakfast left in the cooler at 4:30 am. Thank you! The local little town was very quaint and we actually preferred it over Amsterdam.

Prettige, niet te uitvoerige toelichting bij de gerechten. Goede afstemming van gerechten en wijnen. Heerlijk eten. Enkele slordigheidjes: ondanks dat was doorgegeven dat iemand allergisch was voor koriander werd het toch geserveerd. Bij de afrekening werden de kortingsbonnen (wel vooraf doorgegeven) niet meegerekend. Overigens werd dit meteen goed opgelost.

Great find.
Lovely, cosy room with a great little terrace. Comfy bed, nice bathroom. Monnikendam is a brilliant location, close to Amsterdam and with hug amounts of charm.

Nice comfortable and well appointed room. Staff so friendly. Dinner fitting a MIchelin one star and priced appropriately. Exquisite.

Very cozy and well run by Mark and his wife. Excellent restaurant that is one of the better Michellins. I have suggested that CONDE NAST visit.

Schnuckeliges Hotel in schnuckeliger Altstadt
Zugegeben Zimmer war kleiner als erwartet, nannte sich Kammer... Tat dem Charme aber keinen Abbruch! Super freundliches, höfliches, aufmerksames Personal, Zimmerservice. Alles duftet frisch, sauber. Frühstück frisch, kein Büffet. Samstags Minimarkt im Ort. Super Busanbindung nach Amsterdam, ca. 20 MIn. Am Ortsausgang via Edam/Hoorn toller Bauernhof-Shop mit hauseigener Käserei, Clogs, Souveniers.

Get the Eggs!
Beautiful hotel with an exceptional staff and breakfast. We stayed in the Napoleon Suite. The linens were excellent, the room clean, and the bath tub extra large with enough hot water to enjoy all day. The Hotel is within walking distance to all town attractions and the Bay. Seen thousands of migratory waterfowl to include: mallards, wood ducks, common merganser, canada geese, mute swan, whooper swan, tundra swan, bean geese, barnacle geese, egyptian geese, gadwall, canvasback, Scaup, and ring neck pheasant. Finally, go to the information center and get a city walking tour pamphlet. The beauty of the city is unprecedented and rich in history.
