We had a comfortable stay here. The staff were welcoming, the room was spacious and clean and the location was very convenient for walking around the city centre. A disappointment was the bed which appeared to sag on one side. However we advised staff upon checkout and they were going to look into it. Like most hotels in the city centre you need to park on the street and be mindful of parking costs.

The Alda is in a perfect location, on the "high street" and close to everything, but not noisy and feels very safe. The rooms are not fancy, but clean and comfortable. I could have used a dresser or just a few drawers. The Brass restaurant downstairs was great, and their breakfast was yummy and fresh. The staff were unfailingly helpful, with a special shout-out to the hardworking Ursula. We would happily stay again.

Absolutely love this hotel. My favorite hotel in Reykjavik. My sister recently stayed here and loved it! Rooms are so cozy. Clean, comfy beds and beautiful stay. Fantastic staff! Incredible hotel.

Great little hotel in the heart of Reykjavik, Perfect locale to walk around town. Hotel offers a nice restaurant and overall accommodations. if driving, street parking is available as well as a close municipal parking. Staff is lovely.

This just might be the perfect option for travellers. I arrived as part of a group of 19. 12 of us stayed here. Others were at different locations. In comparison to 3 other hotels this place is elite. We had amenities that others didn’t offer. The gym and jacuzzi was awesome. The front desk staff were 10/10. The house keepers were top levels. We were given cellphones for hotel and local call usage. That was an unexpected gem. The location of the hotel was also superb. We were able to walk to all the fun spots. Walk to all the highly recommended bars, food, and photo ops. Lastly from our hotel we were able to see Northern Lights. I highly recommend this place. You definitely won’t be disappointed.

This was a great hotel for my stay in Reykjavik! It was bigger than I expected and the rooms were nicely updated. The hotel location was perfect - right downtown with lots of shops and restaurants nearby. Even though it was right in the middle of things, it was pretty quiet in the hotel. There's a bus stop where a lot of the tours pick up just about a block down the street. And the staff here was excellent!

The hotel itself is lovely and has a great location. The only drawback is there isn't any easy parking, so you are playing "shuffle the car to avoid a parking ticket" all the time. If you aren't driving, this would be a perfect hotel!

The property is in a great spot for easy walking around Reykjavik center. Plenty of nearby dining options and the restaurant in the hotel is quite good. The breakfast buffet is fantastic. The staff are helpful and friendly. Our flight arrived quite early in the morning, they allowed us to keep our luggage there and notified us when our room was ready before the stated check-in time.

Location is good but that comes with consequences. Parking in Reykjavík is difficult. 3 hour max in area around hotel or park in garage, which is not close. Hotel staff was nice but when asking about parking, it was a bit difficult. Room was clean but did chat about how how dim the lighting was. Shower door, well it moves so to create the shower walls so main door can close. Weird and created more water than expected outside of shower stall.

The location is perfect to walk around the city and not need to rent a car. The staff were extremely helpful. Expedia did not send over our reservations or notify the hotel, however the staff were able to assist and make sure we got everything to booked and paid for without any issues

I cannot say enough good things about our stay! The location is really good and convenient to Bus Stop 9, shops, restaurants and even a grocery store! The staff were all very accommodating and nice. They even gave us a complimentary cell phone to use and the name of some websites to look up when a good night to see the Northern Lights would be. I highly recommend getting the breakfast included in your stay as it was amazing. I also enjoyed some of the British television in the evening after a long day of touring!

Excellent hotel. Staff are always very friendly and willing to help. The room was perfect. The breakfast buffet was amazing with many good food choices. The hotel is centrally located in a great part of Reykjavik. A short walk from the parking garage and also to bus stop 9 where the tour buses pick up. There is a lower cost grocery store within walking distance too. We had a great 5 day stay and would highly recommend this hotel.

Friendly, helpful staff, very clean, perfect location. This hotel is just a couple minutes walk from Bus Station #9, where you can arrange pick-ups and drop-offs from tour companies and airport transport. There are a lot of shops and dining options nearby, and you're also a very short walk from the walkway along the water. I would definitely stay here again and would also recommend it to friends

We visited Reykjavik for the first time and weren’t sure where to stay but chose Alda as it had good reviews. It was wonderful!! The staff was so kind and helpful with anything we needed from dinner recommendations, to taxi’s, to more pillows. The street it is located on is full of shops and places to eat. It was very close to bus stop #9 for any tours you might want to go on. Highly recommend Alda!

Hotel Alda was in a great location and the room was exactly what we needed! You could walk easily to shops and restaurants, and the staff was nice and made checkin super easy. Would skip on the breakfast though...it was just fine and there are plenty of awesome bakeries around that are better.

Hotel was clean, quiet, and in a central location. The bus stop to my excursions was a four minute walk from the hotel. The staff were friendly and they held my luggage until I was able to check in. A great experience overall

Excellent location, very nice staff and cleanliness etc, but 2 things that irked us tho - the queen bed was up against a wall leaving no easy bed access for the 2nd person and fewer "power/charging" options (glad we had long power cords). The main issue was the janky shower - 1 side had no "seal" so water flooded the floor, and the faucet system was somewhat confusing as there was little info on what controlled temp and direction of the shower. I'd still recommend but that should be addressed

Great location close to Bus Stop #9. Clean room, friendly staff, wonderful restaurant—get the breakfast buffet and the seafood soup—really good! Winter rate was much much much lower than summer…a great spot and hot tub/sauna were perfect!
