Booked a last minute stay between wedding gigs so I wouldn't have to drive all the way back home and then back again. The cabin was clean, had a small fridge, small heater that worked a lot better than I had expected and had the basic amenities along with a flat screen tv with cable. The owner (or manager) was so nice and accommodating allowing me to check in early and check out late which worked out perfectly. There was parking right next to the cabin and a great deli / store up the road. The cabins are really cute! If you're looking for a luxury cabin this may not be for you but if you want clean, comfortable and a great host then I highly recommend staying here. I will be back!

The little cabins are very charming and very clean. The beds were comfortable and we slept well in very clean white sheets. I have a sensitive nose and slept nothing but clean county air while sleeping in this cabin.Each cabin has a little balcony with chairs which we enjoyed sitting out front before bed as well as early morning. We loved the location as it was minutes away from all tourist activities but just enough nature around us to feel we have successfully escaped for the weekend. We certainly would come back in a heart beat.

The cabins are super cute, the owner is extremely friendly and accommodating. The location is close enough to attractions yet far enough away from the busyness of Lake George to ensure a peaceful and quiet stay.

Good location and a nice setting. But the place was rundown and in disrepair. AC was terribly loud, huge gap under entry door let any bug that wanted to get in, get in. No deadbolt or secondary lock on door and door fit very loosely so we slept with a chair wedged under the door handle. Was supposed to have a pool but apon arrival the pool was not available it was closed for repairs. Exterior lighting was very poor.

The owners were very nice but unfortunately the rooms were too close together and you could hear everything in the next room. Blew a fuse because the outlets were not secure and connected correctly. Sink was very unsecured like it was glued to wall. Toilet was so close to wall that you had to sit sideways. Beds are too small. Looks cute from the outside. No light on sign so hard to see where it was located.

I'm sorry you did not enjoy your stay. Our electric outlets are absolutely installed correctly and in working order. A breaker was tripped in your cottage because 2 electric heaters were plugged into the same outlet. You reserved our smallest/least expensive room which does have one full size bed as described on all web sites.

Amber Lantern is a wonderful property to stay at. Just the overall feel is cozy and comfortable; I love the cabins, especially since they’re just right for what you need. The manager and staff are polite and attentive; they leave you be when you want to just do your thing, but they’re around to ask for help when necessary. Definitely booking again.

We enjoyed our stay and the rustic look of cabins. Very roomy much better than a regular motel. Clean and comfortable. Owners were great and even responded to our texts and emails. Very hospitable people! Location is quiet and more peaceful than being right in the village. The only thing I would do on future visits is bring a bright lamp and an extension cord.

The property is very adorable and quaint. The cottages are adorable and clean. May need a bit of updating but for what I needed it was perfect. The town was just minutes away by car. The owners were supper nice!

Visit Lake George and stay at Amber Lantern Cabins
Tom and his wife who own the cabins are so hospitable and will answer any questions you have. The cabins are comfortable, with barbecues, playground and a pool, and close to all activities and are a bit down the road from places to kayak, trails, restaurants, beaches. It also a lovely place to sit outside and chat and relax. We rented 3 cabins. We are definitely thinking of going back next year. Prices are so reasonable.

Absolutely Lovely
My partner and I were traveling for business, and decided to stay in the Lake George area for an evening, rather than driving home. I'm so happy that we decided to stay here, because we absolutely loved it. The cabins are adorable, the beds were comfortable, and the TV worked as well as we needed it to! The whole property appeared well maintained, and if we'd been staying longer, I would have loved to have used the fire pit and grills. The gentleman who checked us in was friendly and checking out was as easy as leaving the key in a basket. There was also a nice restaurant less that a minute down the road, where we had a lovely breakfast the next morning. If it weren't for the fact that their website says they don't allow what seems to amount to bigger breed dogs (we have a quiet and well behaved pit bull), we would definitely stay here again for non-business related trips. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a nice Lake George experience, with a little more nature and less traffic than the city center.
