Though the apartment was okay, this was not Albertinkatu as I had booked, but mysteriously relocated to Tehtaankatu. 1km further away from the city centre, closer to the marina.
On arrival in the city centre at 15:00, I waited at the central station (free wifi) for the supposed keyless keycode to arrive via text/email.... nothing. After trying to contact Forenom and waiting for call back (twice), and asked my wife (at home) to contact Expedia (call centre in India, an hour of getting know where). I eventually received a telephone call from Forenom asking was I going to collect the key.
As business close at 17:00 I had to find a taxi to get me to Forenom to collect the key. The round trip back to the new address cost me 39 euros. At the end of my trip, I then had to return the key to the office. If I had known about this hassle, I would have either planned ahead and organised a bus, or booked elsewhere.
The apartment was okay, great for exercising the legs to walk to the city centre. There is an Alepa supermarket nearby, but be sure to have a city map, otherwise you will easily become lost and disoriented.
