The best hideaway in the middle of the city

This was an excellent choice. The hotel is very simple but nice and classy. Excellent location, I will love to go back to it and have the chance to enjoy the pool and other facilities. Very good stay.

Not a good experience
We arrived at the hotel and the staff informed us that do to a pluming issue we would noty be able to stay there. No other possible room to stay in. We were only offered another room in a partner hotel called Casa del faro. The condition of the hotel was not good. It was deteriorated and the decoration looked old. The pool area needs a lot of work. The room had a bad smell and we were not given another option as to where to stay. The staff was helpful and tried to be as useful as they could, but it was definitely not satisfactory.

We had stayed several times in the sister property. Pros: the personnel is very attentive, and always keen to help. Cons: location, is on a pedestrian street just at the side of a busy intersection, getting taxis can be challenging as they cannot get just in front of the property; it can be quite noisy. I would suggest to provide separate towels for the pool.

L'hôtel est une ancienne maison coloniale pleine de charme. Il accueille une petite dizaine de chambre. La rénovation de l'edifice est vraiment une belle réussite. Les chambres sont très belles. Il est situé dans une rue piétone du centre historique ce qui rime avec plus de calme, et pour la Colombie c'est un luxe ! Les chambres donnent donc sur une coursive intérieure mais à l'air libre. A l'intérieur ventilateur et clim, tout le monde est content ! En terrasse des transats et une jolie piscine qui fonctionne et qui est bien entretenue ! Miracle ! Enfin le petit-déjeuner est à la hauteur du service de ce petit hôtel de charme : magique ! Nous y avons prolongé notre séjour tellement il y fait bon vivre.

Homey Comfy and Cosey.
Reception service was good. The breakfast was good and chef was very nice. The hotel is much smaller than others that will come up on search but the level of professionalism and warmth of staff is more of a homey feeling. The bathrooms are tiny and congested but the overall hotel gas a fabulous personality.

Very good value
Very pleasant stay for few days. Hotel has super friendly staff and location is good. Rooms are very clean as well and breakfast well served. Definately value for the price!

What did I pay for?
The power went out twice, I realize that these things occur but for a hotel charging $65/night one would assume they could budget for a backup generator like the shoe store directly in front selling Chinese réplicas of sports shoes. It was so prolonged and frequent that they moved me to another hotel. Pool was under contruction... I just don't know where to begin but I think I've done pretty well.

Tiene de donde mejorar.
Los colchones no son los más confortables. El hotel lo cierran en la noches, de tal manera que los huéspedes deben timbrar para que le abran la puerta, esto causa molestia para quienes están durmiendo. El desayuno es muy bueno y la gente es amable y servicial. Tiene de donde mejorar.

Das Hotel hat eine gute Lage. Es ist charmant - nur der Pool ist eine „Pfütze“ und der nächste halbwegs saubere Strand nicht zu Fuß zu erreichen. Aber dafür kann das Hotel ja nichts. Das Frühstück ist - - mager.

this place was over my budget but the atmosphere and the location was perfect. walking distance to every little restaurant. Highly recommended for santa marta guests.

Not what we thought we were going to get!
This hotel calls itself "boutique." It should be "boo-tique." The rooms are not very clean. The piano (I guess where they got their name) is completely a disaster. We needed to extend an extra night, and boy did they charge us for that. Almost double what we paid for the initial reservation per night. Breakfast staff was good and the dining area is very nice even though cramped. Not much selection on food, but then dieting has always been my thing. Rooftop pool was nice. Location was actually good, on a pedestrian mall. Rooms and hotel don't actually match. A bit deceptive. They are really sitting on a gold mine if they'd just make some changes and improvements.

När vi anlände fick vi ett bra mottagande, med en kall dryck en jättebra presentation av staden och vilka olika sevärdheter som fanns, medan de bar upp våra väskor på rummet. Frukosten höll varierande kvalite, vissa dagar upplevde vi inget större intresse från personalens sida och det bjöds på torra brödbitar. Poolen var liten men svalkande och hölls efter noga så den var ren och fin. Läget är mycket bra för att strosa runt i gamla stan.

Petite casa agréable et bien située
Nous avons bien apprécié notre séjour malgré que la mauvaise chambre nous ait été assignée. Plutôt que d'avoir une chambre à 2 lits simples (2 amies voyageant ensemble), nous avons eu une chambre avec lit simple (très mou et inconfortable) et lit queen. Bien que la direction ait tenté de nous faire croire que c'était un "upgrade" (chambre plus grande que celle réservée), nous n'avons pas vu la chose du même œil. Sinon, le personnel, l'emplacement, la casa en soit et les déjeuners ont rendu notre séjour à Santa Marta agréable.

El sitio es bonito, las fotos hacen ver las habitaciones más grandes de los que son, lo mismo el hotel, no es tan grande como aparece en las fotos. El personal es bastante amable pero en las tarde hay una chica en recepción que le da fastidio todo, moverse, ayudarte, etc. El sitio está ubicado cerca de cafés y bares pero también al lado de la carrera 5ta que es extremadamente ruidosa y al lado de varias tiendas que ponen música a todo volumen todo el día y tienen animadores vendiendo zapatos, ropa, difícil relajarse.

Hotel mit schöner Dachterrasse in der Altstadt
Sehr sauberes Hotel mit freundlichem Personal und toller Dachterrasse. Einfache aber schön eingerichtete Zimmer mit super Dusche! Auf jeden Fall zu empfehlen. Preis-Leistung stimmt, wie bei allen Hotels dieser Kette!

Just do you a favour do not book this hotel
The hotel is incredibly dirty and you will notice that as soon as you go in being welcomed in a dirty reception with not air conditioning. The counter of the reception is actually sticky and dusty. The photos you will see on any booking sites are wide angled to make the rooms look bigger in reality they are not apart from the high ceiling. There are not windows looking on the outside meaning there is no natural light making it rather claustrophobic. Now the choice of making the furnishing and the interior design white does not help hiding the dirt. I had a very bad service from them when pointing those things out I wanted to cancel my booking made through hotels.com and paid in advance. They told me about their not refundable policy and excused the dirt and poor maintenance of the hotel only saying "we are sorry this is an old building". I complained to Expedia ( hotels.com) and they were not helpful at all. When I suggested to at least change room they just told me it would cost me more. Something that I've never had before, on the contrary in other hotels they always try the best to accommodate the needs. I also suggested to move my reservation to another of their closer hotels and was told they were full, when I checked they actually had availability. Weird! So in my opinion you are better off somewhere else. Also the location of this hotel is extremely noisy and trafficked which doesn't help either with the heat and the humidity. So I would not recommend it even though th

Great Hotel for a good price
Excellent Hotel, located in the area where are all the good resaturants and bars. Is also very near to Santa Marta's "Marina" and the staff are very friendly and help you with any doubt you have. The hotel room is very comfortable, the rooms are clean and they have plenty of space. My only complain was that the Wifi network is a little slow, but you will spend your time in the beach so this is not an issue. Very good hotel, I will come back any time, also the breakfast is great!
