The Staff are lovely and the breakfast is great and cooked to order and the pool and garden are pleasant. That's the end of the positives. There is no bar, spa, coffee shop and not all transport is free. The rooms and the hotel are old and run down, would have been lovely once. The hotel is too expensive for what you get. Chipped, broken and stained bathrooms and all the matts for furniture old and faded. The futon bed which was to make extra sleeping, would never be Ok to sleep on. Management have put fake grass everywhere to cover the broken tiles and floorboards. The foundations in the main walk area are sinking! Nice area with great restaurants around, other newer hotels to choose from.

Very nice cosy place. They have like 10 rooms. Was in one on the basement with a huge exterior bathroom. Nothing better than a midnight bath under the stars upon arriving at my destination. Place was really calm, next to a rice field. Could hear tropical birds singing when resting around. Rooms, surroundings and swimming pool really clean. Sunday evening BBQ was a nice addition and the staff is truly helpful and devoted. I.e. paid by mistake twice the room. The owner got in touch with me later and drove back and forth for nearly 3h to my hotel to personally bring me the cash to reimburse me. Will be back!

Fantastic location, villa, food and staff. Nothing you want is too hard for staff to help you with 24 hrs a day. Very much felt at home. Highly recommend. Caters very well for westerners. Returned home yesterday and looking to book this villa again ASAP. Ideally suited for quite and relaxing time in the villa but close enough for nightlife and cafes.

Ngeluwungan Boutique Wow!
This is a really great place to stay, booked it for our family and we all loved it. The staff are terrific and the setting is really picturesque with beautifully developed gardens, access to rooms is via timber walkways that 'float' over fish ponds and the pool overlooks rice paddies to the west. A morning swim, a lemon grass tea straight out of the herb garden and a house made omelette for breakfast, what better way to start your day!

Loved everything about it!!!
Loved everything about our stay! We had a private villa that was clean and spacious. The staff goes above and beyond to meet your every need and the grounds are beautiful! Tucked away from the busy tourist locations, we weee very relaxed and It’s a short taxi or scooter ride to Canguu (about 10minutes).

Charming boutique hotel with great staff
We loved the place. With sparkling clean room, bathroom with outdoor shower and bath, delicious food and drinks and amazing staff. They really go out of their way to ensure that guests have everything they might need or want ( for example mosquito spray, free cell phone). Beautiful common areas. You feel well taken care of during the entire time. Staff is amazing, they all want you to have a good time. I absolutely loved every minute spent there and can't wait to be back. Totally worth staying.

Dream Resort!
We absolutely loved our stay here. It was so private and the room was an absolute dream. We chose the outdoor bathroom which had its pros and cons but we knew that upon choosing the outdoor bathroom. They provided bug sprays and citronella to plug in for the mosquitos. The staff was amazing. We spent most of our time with Agus. He took us to Tanah Lot and picked us up a couple times. He was so accomadating and spoke great English. I had a sore throat and they made me tea straight from the garden. It was so nice and they definitely spoil you here. The pool was really nice, it was set against rice paddies and there were chairs and day beds with covers to sit under. It was beautiful and we LOVED this resort!

Feel like you are a member of a family
My only concern was not the transport provided by the staff in the villa in to Canguu ( they are nice guys ) but the issues regarding local drivers monopolizing the car hire industry and the issues and overcharging (compared to BlueBird taxis) when returning to the villa. Other than that this is a beautiful villa close to a few restaurants which are in a country lane amongst the paddi fields

Peaceful Pradise in rural Bali
If you want a relaxing holiday, away from the hustle and bustle of the other parts of the island, this is your place. I loved every minute of my holiday here. The staff gives 110% to make you feel at home. This was our first time in Bali and I wanted to do some exploring, the Villa provided us a car and a driver so travelling around was absolutely stress free. You can also borrow a bike or a scooter if you feel adventurous. They also provide plenty of activities to choose from (or just do them all like we did). Saturday you can visit a local orphanage that is sponsored by Ngeluwungan Villa, serve their dinner and play with the children afterwards (they are adorable). Sunday is the day of the fish market where you can pick up the freshest catch of the day and later participate in the seafood bbq, live music and Balinese dance by Star and Moon (the two lovely ladies who made our lush breakfasts in the mornings). The Secret waterfall tour is a must with Gede. It is a lifetime experience. He also took us on day trips to Ubud, Uluwatu and I can't thank him enough for being such a great guide. On wednesday there is an option to see the breathtaking sunset at Tanah Lot and a real Balinese feast back at the villa afterwards with all sorts of delicacies. Our room was amazing with an outdoor bathroom that added an extra bit of charm to our stay. Most nights we had our dinner at the villa, it was always fresh, tasty and prepared with care.

Great Staff and a nice hotel.
This a good hotel made great by the staff, they make you feel welcome to their home and always are pleasant and helpful. We used the hotel to sort a car and driver to get around and they were excelent. The food y Star and Moon is amazing and the guys behind the bar can whit up somthing special when you want it. This is a great place to stay, small and comfortable.

Oases of harmony near the beach
Wonderful three weeks of holiday. Especially the staff who took care of us in a most competent and warm-hearted way was a special benefit to our stay. The food of the hotel's restaurant was more than delicious. We never ate better dishes anywhere else in Asia. Even an Malaysian couple (who are used to eat Asian Food) couldn't stop praising the cooks. The room was large and the bed was large too and very comfortable. Roomservice in any respect was perfect. We made a tour to the "Secrete Waterfall". This was an amazing event that we will never forget and which is most recommendable. The hotel offers a scooter for a few Dollars to explore the area which was very interesting.

J'ai fait confiance aux commentaires positifs, grave erreur...voici un petit hôtel dans lequel les employés sont livrés à eux mêmes, résultat : sans gêne, écoutent la musique très fort jusque tard le soir et à l'heure de l'éventuelle sieste (ici on se lève tôt et une petite sieste vers 14h n'est pas un luxe..) , à nous de descendre leur demander de baisser le son..ils se parlent d'un endroit à l'autre sans se soucier de déranger etc...je croyais arrive dans un petit hotel calme pour me reposer, c'est raté. ! Une bonne note par contre au jardinier, le jardin est impeccable, contrairement aux chambres qui vieillissent mal...abattant W C jauni , baignoire au fond douteux...draps tâchés. .....j'avais fait l'erreur de payer 6 nuits à l'avance, sans quoi je serais partie au bout d'une nuit! Passez votre chemin, vous trouverez bien meilleur rapport qualité prix dans les environs !

Prachtig, puur, klein onderkomen in rustig Changgu
De kamers zijn ruim met heerlijk bed en stille ac, badkamer ruim met bad. Gehele terrein is mooi ingericht met natuurlijke en soms mooi doorleefde materialen en straalt puurheid en warmte uit. Diverse plekjes om rustig te zitten, te liggen of bijvoorbeeld gemasseerd te worden. Uitzicht oo rijstvelden. Ontbijt kan gehele dag genoten worden. Pure sapjes, jam en pindakaas, kruidentuin waar je ook zelf mag plukken voor bijvoorbeeld een kopje muntthee. Alle medewerkers zijn lief en attent. Een plek waar je rust kan vinden. Ligt aan leuke weg met verschillende andere villas, op loopafstand van Perenan strand, waarvanuit je direct door kan lopen nar Echo beach. Eigen vervoer is wel handig als je in eetstraat van Changgu wil eten, zitten diverse hippe, leuke en lekkere restaurants. Al het vervoer is te regelen via hun.

Really nice hotel with amazing staff
Really good hotel and great staff, free Sunday bbq was amazing considering we just got to the hotel after being stuck in traffic from the airport. It is not in walkable distance from the beach and you will need a car or scooter. The pool is ok. Overall the hotel is generally is good condition some wear and tear. The transport provided by the hotel is pricey.

Positiv: Das Personal hat uns am Eingang direkt sehr freundlich empfangen und unser Zimmer gezeigt. Der Innenhof des Hotels ist sehr schön und gemütlich. Die Lage des Hotels ist etwas abseits des Geschehens und ohne Fahrzeug schwierig. Wer es jedoch ruhig mag, für den ist es genau das Richtige. Der Strand, welcher fußläufig erreichbar ist, ist jedoch hauptsächlich für Wassersport geeignet. Negativ: In unserem Zimmer hing noch das Handtuch des vorherigen Besuchers, die Badematten waren dreckig (Haare auf dem Boden), der Wäschekorb für Handtücher noch voll von vorherigen Gästen und wir hatten zwei mittelgroße Schimmelflecken an der Decke des Bads. Das Wasser im Waschbecken lief sehr schlecht ab und die Duschamatur war locker. Insgesamt war besonders das Badezimmer nicht sonderlich sauber. Das Frühstück bestand aus einem Obstteller, ein wenig Toast und Kaffe bzw. Saft. Alles weitere wurde zusätzlich berechnet. Insgesamt ein durchschnittlicher Aufenthalt, trotz sehr freundlichem Personal, da die Mängel an der einen Stelle doch überwogen.

Ein Traum
Von der ersten Minute ab haben wir uns wie in einem Traum gefühlt. Der herzliche Empfang, das sehr große Zimmer und die allgemeine Atmosphäre haben uns umgehauen. Direkt angrenzend an einem Reisfeld und sehr ruhig. Das offene Restaurant war wie ein großes Wohnzimmer für uns. Besonders zu erwähnen ist das Personal, wirklich alle haben uns sofort das Gefühl gegeben, als wären wir Familienmitglieder, die nach langer Zeit wieder nach Hause kommen. Ein 1+ mit ganz vielen Sternchen für das Hotelpersonal, besonders an GEDE, der uns mit ganz vielen Infos zur Seite stand. Wenn es etwas zu bemängeln gibt, dann waren es die Badetücher, die durchgehend gemieft haben. Hier sollten Sie evtl. den Wäschedienst überdenken. Absolut zu empfehlen und ein Muss wer in oder um Canggu eine Bleibe sucht. Vielen Dank an das Team, ihr leistet eine super Arbeit!

Great staff, pleasant quiet setting
Amongst the rice paddies, 5 mins walk to Canggu beach (black sand, not a swimming beach but charming in its own way), what feels like a long way from the main tourist areas. Our issue - lack of privacy. Hotel built like a Balinese compound, with a central walkway front to back of hotel, right by your door. Room 4 where we were also had a side window right by the stairs where people could (and naturally accidentally did because of eye line) see right in. We felt on display.

Veldig bra opphold. God mat. Vennlig personell. Stille og rolig område. Veldig bra tur til "Secret waterfall". Vi var helt alene i en fantastisk foss på nordsiden av Bali (ca. 2 timers kjøretur) kostet kun 200 NOK per person! Anbefales på det sterkeste!

Fabulous, comfortable stay, excellent service
From the airport pickup, all the way to the airport dropoff, service was impeccable. Friendly, always a smile, the staff at Ngeluwungan really went out of their way to ensure our stay was comfortable and fun. The room amenities were wonderful - free drinkable water, free loaner phone - very useful. The outdoor bathroom is truly an experience and must be requested when you book a room here. The villa is peaceful, airy and cozy and has a very "at-home" vibe that made me feel very comfortable here. 5 mins walk to the nearby beach, eateries and massage places within 5-10 mins walk as well. We made use of the transport service provided by the villa to get around and prices were competitive. The Sunday seafood BBQ had great, fresh seafood beautifully cooked, and Gede's secret waterfall tour is a must! We only wish we had stayed longer to enjoy more of their unique offerings - like their beach club and the wednesday balinese feast! Would recommend to others and return!

If you want to stay at a place where you can rest, experience a true Bali environment and also meet the most wonderful staff in the world....this is the place. We stayed for 2 weeks, 14 days of heaven!!! What was interesting is every person who was checking out would say "We should have stayed here longer" I guess a lot of people move from hotel to hotel in Bali, but you should just check in and unpack your bags...and stay the whole time. We stayed in #1 and our bathroom was outside. But I have to say that it was so beautiful and romantic and very private, what a great experience. You can see the bathtub in one of the photos they have posted. You will be surrounded by orchids and calm. Very quiet and the staff is amazing. So nice and they care about you and the experience you have with them. Also the hotel is about a 5 minute walk from the beach and in the evenings (5PM) walk down to the beach and watch the BALI life while watching the sunset. Amazing every night and each night there were new things to see. A surfing contest, a festival, kite flying, BBQs, dogs and kids running around. I get a kick out of the dogs, they are all so happy to see you. Speaking of dogs, the hotel has a dog named Lucky. Lucky will hang out with you if you want and if you decide to get up early, he will provide you the happiest greeting, in the morning, that you would ever get at any other hotel.

Luxury accomodation at value price.
I was lucky to stay here after a fantastic stay at their property at Canngu. The views from the room were fantastic, the decor and features of the room gave a 'Bali' but were so comfortable and homely. The staff were fantastic, available at any time but invisible enough to make my stay peaceful and relaxing. The main streets were a comfortable walk or the staff would take me any time. There are beautiful walks around the rice terraces from the front door. breakfast was great, there are plenty of eating options close by, from very cheap traditional Balinese to well priced restaurant which would get rave reviews for its food and service at home, almost next door. I will definately be back as soon as I can. Thanks Chris and your team.

Tolles familiäres Hotel mit herausragendem Team, Ausflüge toll (Finns Beach und Secret Waterfall waren der hammer!), Zimmer oberer Stock etwas moderner als Gartenvillen (könnten Renovierung vertragen) Uns haben als einzige Kritik die muffigen Handtücher gestört. Insgesamt wundervoll ruhige Villa zum entspannen und trotzdem Bali von hier aus mit dem Moped oder Fahrer zu entdecken...

Hade läst mycket positivt om hotellet innan så därför valde vi att boka detta, vilket vi ångrade starkt. När vi kom till hotellet fick vi höra att det var något fel på vårat rum så vi skulle få sova på ett annat hotell en natt som vi verkligen vantrivdes på. Fick även höra att det var väldigt vanligt att de skickade sina hotellgäster till andra hotell pga mycket dubbelbokningar. Detta ska inte behöva ske. Åkte även taxi med hotellets egna chaufför en dag och bestämde tid för upphämtning på kvällen men det glömde personalen bort så vi fick vänta i över en timme efter att vi ringt och frågat var de var. Väldigt ofta obemannat i receptionen så man fick gå runt och leta efter personalen om man undrade över något. Rummet luktade fruktansvärt starkt av klorin/ammoniak, likaså sängkläderna!Badhanddukarna kändes knappt tvättade, luktade herrparfrym? Poolen var alldeles för varm och var väldigt smutsig. Är verkligen missnöjd med vår vistelse och hur illa vi blev behandlade. Hotellet behöver verkligen få bättre struktur och lära sig hur man arbetar med service.

Quiet but lovely villa
We enjoyed our stay very much, rooms were clean, food was delicious. Staff went out of their way to accommodate any request. Seafood banquet was individually cooked to our liking, very fresh and yummy. We took advantage of free bicycle hire and rode around to the many beaches and restaurants. We also hired a scooter one day as we explored further a field/ Tanah Lot free outing is worth going to.

I stayed in two different room during my stay at this villa. The first was terrible it was an upstairs room which got all the afternoon sun and was like an oven. The aircon in the room barely worked at all. But the 3 main issues I had with the room were all fixed with in a couple of days by the villa manager. The noisy aircon unit the showers ear leaking everywhere and lack of tv channels. A few days into my trip my room was upgraded to one of the downstairs ones I loved the new room with the out door bathroom and the aircon actually worked great. The food at the villa is good highly recommend the suckling pig soup. Just a tip for the villa get rid of the plastic glasses from the rooms and put real glasses for us to use. Also keep on top of maternance of each room I hated the way the electricity kept dropping out some times 4 times in the hour. The staff team are young but oh so helpful I will stay again just not in the upstairs rooms..

Very nice hotel, great staff! Food was really good and not expensive, breakfast was lovely, great tours and very close to the black sand beach. Will come back for sure! :)

A small hotel (7 rooms), good food, beautiful garden, clean pool with warm water, pleasant atmosphere for demanding clients who love surfing. Black sand beach 10 minutes walking.

A special THANK YOU to all the staff at the hotel. We had the most pleasant experience there. The food was incredible, the rooms very clean and comfortable and above all the staff were really friendly and always gave good advice on what to do in the surrounding area. It was the first time that I felt at home in a hotel, thanks to the casual and relaxed attitude of the staff, who always had the time and inclination to chat, whilst still performing their jobs immaculately. One last piece of advice: ask Gede for a guided tour to his secret waterfall, an absolute treat. I will definitely try to go there again.

A gem of a hotel. Great service, excellent room, delicious restaurant, must have massage. Make sure you ask for the outdoor bathroom.

Bästa hotellet vi någonsin varit på. Underbart, stort rum med magiska sängkläder. Mysigt område med bar, lobby, pool, poolområde samt kring hotellrum. Gratis vatten på tappning, vilket är ett stort plus då många plastflaskor ligger överallt i landet. En skylt där vi välkomnades vid ankomst. Utmärkt service. Vi fick låna en mobiltelefon som vi kunde ringa från när som helst då vi behövde hjälp. God frukost och mat. Personalen var världsbäst, så unika och underbara. Vi stannade bara två nätter men kände oss så välkomnande och kände oss hemma redan efter två dagar. Skulle rekommendera alla att åka dit. Vi checkade ut den 25/12 men blev bjudna att bli upphämtade till hotellet för julmiddag den dagen.

Home from home
From the pick up to departing we were made to feel at home. The warm smiling faces of all the staff, the nothing is to hard attitude and the constant friendliness made our stay relaxing and work seem a million miles away.Agus infectious girly like laugh and excellent cooking skills, Sryahuls cheecky smile, lovely service and attention from the young ladies Moon and Star as well as Gedes superb driving and knowledge. Scooter hire from the Villa wasn't an issue as they had one or maybe more there and the man in charged of that Ketut was again smiley,friendly and very helpful. The owners of which we only met one unfortunately (Chris) are doing an excellent job with this reasonably newish venture and I highly commend them for what they have achieved, where they currently are and their future plans. The villas are situated a little was out from the hustle and bustle of Kuta/Seminyak etc but an easy taxi or villa transfer. Paddy fields right behind the property are a great photo opportunity if you riser with the sun and the fields are being worked. The pool was a constant tepid bath temperature and the day beds positioning meant you had peace and quiet even if there were a few people there. Experience for yourself. dieses hotel kann man nur empfehlen. wir waren zu viert / 2 pärchen / 30 - 35 jahre wir haben dort 2 wochen verbracht wir hatten im januar zum superpreis gebucht, waren ende oktober/anfang november dort zu erst hatten wir bedenken, ob wir alles richtig gemacht haben, 2 wochen am gleichen fleck zu verharren ABER es war die richtige entscheidung man kommt von hier problemlos überall hin & zurück an einem tag und wir haben echt viele ausflüge gemacht alles in allem war es großartig perfekte ruhige lage, canggu mit vielen schönen restaurants nur ein steinwurf entfernt (scooter kann man sich vor ort ausleihen, und den hol- & bringedienst vom ngeluwungan nutzen) wir haben personal = superfreundlich & aufmerksam! GEDE hat uns 2 wochen lang bei den ausflügen begleitet. wir haben ihn ins herz geschlossen. der strand um die ecke ist schön, aber sicher nicht der schönste der welt trotzdem kann man dort den tollen sonnenuntergang beobachten & für abkühlung sorgen allerdings waren wir wirklich meistens auf einer tour unterwegs, und lagen dort gerade einmal am strand sind meistens etwas weiter weg gefahren um einen strandtag einzulegen (z.B. balangan beach oder das mittwochsspezial vom hotel: finns beach club mit abendlichen bbq (toll!)) wir hatten die zimmer mit openair-bad - großartig. wir sind äußerst tierlieb & hatten oft besuch von kleinen fröschen (wen das stört, lieber die zimmer mit geschlossenen bad nehmen) aber nichts geht über eine heiße badewanne unter sternenhimmel.
