It was all about the amazing view and wonderful people. The room was just a few feet from Lake Michigan. There is a private fire pit and lawn chairs and picnic table. The room had a whirlpool tub. I must say this is not a upscale fancy room. It is very basic but it is clean. I think if they could buy new bedding and towels it would be a great improvement. We had a wonderful time and we will return.

We have stayed here many times in the past First time in off season. The same except only offers coffee in the morning and no hair dryer otherwise its fine for a night or two.

This place has become a cherished gem for me, and I've returned multiple times. The gentleman who checked us in displayed exceptional kindness and flexibility, allowing us to stay in a room not typically pet-friendly so we could relish the beachfront location. He even permitted my dogs to run and play freely on the beach. Throughout our stay, he remembered my name, inquired about our experience, and showered my dogs with affection. Our trip was unexpectedly extended, and he generously offered us a discount to return a couple days later, securing the same room we adored. While the rooms may not be the height of luxury, the breathtaking views more than compensate, and the added bonus of a jacuzzi tub was delightful. The lakefront setting, complete with Adirondack chairs and fire pits, was so captivating that we scarcely needed to be in our room except for rest. Watching a nighttime thunderstorm and the sunrise over the lake during our stay was breathtaking. I can't recommend this place highly enough, and I eagerly anticipate many more returns in the future!

They really need to clean the carpet and poor some Green Gobbler down the drains. They apparently are clogged.

Great value on the water
Great view, friendly staff, comfy bed, clean bathroom. Enjoyed our stay in spite of the rain. The pillows and towels could have been bigger, but overall a great value!

A wonderful location on the banks of Lake Michigan with an outdoor deck overlooking the lake. Unfortunately this property is very dated to the point where it appears they’re using the original bed linens and towels from when it was built. The mattress seemed to be old and worn out as well. To their credit, there was a 42” tv in the room, but I never used it so I can’t comment on picture quality. The interior of the room was unattractive. A small microwave was stacked on top of a small refrigerator which was sitting on what appeared to be an old nightstand. A small clothes rack for hanging clothes was bolted to the wall next to the exterior door. With all this being said, it’s actually what I kinda expected from an old school roadside motel. The bathroom was clean and the water worked fine. What was really discouraging was that there was very fine sand on the linoleum wood grained floor. I actually collect grit on the bottoms of my feet walking around the room barefooted. Even with the exceptional location, I probably wouldn’t stay here again.

The room was clean but very small. The bathroom was cramped and had no sink (which was in a corner of the room). The doors slam easily and cause vibrations on the entire floor. Walls are not well insulated for sound as we heard our neighbors till near midnight and early morning. Ideal place for touring other areas of Door County, but not as a destination by itself.

Fire and moonrise on the beach!
I loved having access to fire rings and firewood, beach chairs and picnic benchs right on the beach. The roar of the waves at night whether while watching the moonrise or sleeping was hypnotic.

Terrible niise starting at 5am!!
They were either cleaning or remodeling the room above us at 5 AM lots of feet across the floor sliding furniture very in considerate would not recommend this place to anybody I would like a refund.

first of all we are sold out every day in the summer. and no one is here to clean or remodeling in the night at 5 AM. due to packers game everyone is checked in after midnight. so its the guest who stayed above you they made noise. you should have talked with manager about this before checking out. Motel management has nothing to do with it. we don't care your recommendation and business. i believe you get your answer .

Motel was right on the water which was very nice. Deck overlooking water was adequate, but chairs and table on deck were so dirty could not use. Motel is old, which is okay, but no pride is taken in the facility. Painting had been done in room, but spills never cleaned up. Splatters were all over tile and on mopboards. We were warned about lake flies as it got dark, but we couldn't even get into our room after dark without hundreds of lake flies entering the rooms and covering the walls, ceiling and our bed. Nice chairs and fire pit on the beach for each room, which would have been nice to use but didn't want to go out once we got in because of the flies. Nice location on the edge of town and within walking distance of downtown.

Small but nice enough for a couple of nights
The room was a little small but it was furnished with a frig and a table and chair. We used a deck chair for a second chair, otherwise one of us would have had to sit on the bed. There is a walk-out deck from which you can watch the waves break on Lake Michigan. The window opens so you can hear the wave action all night long. Wonderful.

Room we stayed at the bed was to soft and springy, door had a big gap you could see light coming in. Just overall looks like they tried to update things, but on the low side of a budget. Otherwise amazing value, and a great view of Lake Michigan from the balcony. Would stay again

Gorgeous view!
The location is perfect with a gorgeous view of the lake. It would be nice if they would get rid of the old outdated comforters and went with the new style that you see in hotels so that it looks a little fresher and crisper and update the mattresses because they feel like the old spring mattresses, so we didn’t sleep as well as we would have liked. The floor could use a good cleaning too considering it’s by the water and I’m sure a lot comes through the screen door. Other than those tiny minor things, we would definitely stay there again.

Beach front access and great view of the lake!
We loved that our room was right on the beach with a beautiful view of Lake Michigan. The room was a good size and was fairly comfortable. It could use a little updating and the bed wasn't super comfortable. The view and beach more than made up for this.

It was beautiful that the property was right on the beach, and we had access to nice chairs a picnic tables outside. Property definitely needs some updating had a pink countertop in the bathroom. The bed was comfortable without dated bedding, however. Everything seem to be in working order I feel it was a little over priced for the accommodations.

The view from our room was great,continental breakfast not too good, coffee was lousy tasted weak and watered down.The mattress was too soft, and the t v remote doesn’t have guide or scroll option.
