The resort was clean, comfortable and service from the staff was great! AC was fully functional and we had a ceiling fan available. My friend and I stayed at the small, beach front house.
If you are looking for a place to relax, away from town and local businesses, then this is the place for you. The beach front is not a clear blue like other areas. Aside from the sea grass, which I was expecting, the water looked murky and not suitable to go in.
Food was good and it’s reasonably priced.
Drinks were okay, high premium liquor is available but it can get expensive, $14.00 USD per drink.
Staying at this resort you must get a golf cart to get into town! It’s the only way to move around and the most economical. I paid $25 USD for a taxi, one way trip to town.
I am a 30 year old and I went with my friend. If you want to explore town, party, and go on excursions I wouldn’t recommend this resort. The town is about 20-30 minutes away, a lot of the bars and eateries are overlooking the ocean and they are beautiful! There’s also a myriad of hotels to choose from in town. I booked Captain Morgan's because I enjoy pool bars, though this resort had one, it was very quiet. If you stay in town, you probably won’t need a golf cart for too many days. I booked an excursion, they picked us up but we were far away from the service point.
All in all, I enjoyed Captain Morgan’s! But it’s definitely a place to go retreat. If this is what you want, then I would highly recommend it!!
