Simply a nasty hotel, you will feel dirty for days after staying here. I've traveled the world and stayed in a lot of questionable places, but this is the first one I've ever been compelled to review online. I booked here because it was the last hotel room in town during a Nor'easter when my flight from JFK was cancelled. Sleeping in the terminal would probably have been a far more enjoyable experience. Rooms are dirty with all sorts of hair and stains on the pillowcases and housekeeping will come around at 11:30pm to loudly offer to take out your "basura." No gracias. Walls are paper-thin so you'll get to know your neighbors and their habits quite well. This hotel has no shame in price gouging, so you can expect rates to go up by well over 600% if JFK has a lot of cancellations. Additionally, for an "airport hotel" it's not even near the airport. And when it comes time to finally part ways with this dump and you ask the front desk to call you a cab, they won't. Instead you'll get some guy in his mom's minivan who will try to rip you off and then complain that it's not fair that you only paid the flat rate he demanded upfront because Terminal 5 is a lot farther than Terminal 2, and the guy you were forced to share the van with is only going to Terminal 2 for the same price. That said, if squalid conditions, razor wire, and constant shakedowns are your thing and your flight to Delhi has been cancelled, perhaps you should consider staying at this EconoLodge.
