All other hotels had no availability. Jaunita at the front desk was more than amazing on check in! She made sure all of my accommodations were met. At one point a group of disrespectful kids came in acting a muck and she did her best to keep them from disrupting the other gets stay from a peaceful one! She kept apologizing even though it was not her fault! The breakfast lady kept the food flowing warm and tasting great. Those same kids messed up her whole breakfast area as she kept it clean the whole morning. I felt so bad for her. But she kept moving with a smile on her face! Hands down best stay at any hotel thus far!!!

Disappointed
The place was in the midst of renovations. Half completed. The person who served breakfast was fabulous and pleasant. The pool temperature was frigid and the handles by the steps were wobbly and felt unsafe. A housekeeper cleaning the floor told me about a spill she was cleaning “this sh*t up.” Will stay elsewhere in the future. Fell below typical Holiday Inn Express past experiences at other locations which were always reliably positive.

Other hotels and staff were very rude and not welcoming at all. I was so appreciative that this location was able to accommodate our group of 5 at nearly 3:00AM when I called. We had just driven into the city and it was our first time there. Staff was great, clean room. The only negative was a soaked carpet area around the window and A/C unit. I found out by stepping on it in my socks. It had been raining so I’m sure it’s difficult problem to find unless you find it the way did. Otherwise everything was great!

The hotel was incredibly noisy as it was undergoing construction. We were going to leave but they assured us there would be NO construction on Sunday morning. Construction started promptly at 8:30 am waking up my son. Nearly all food was gone at breakfast. The room was not even ready when they said it would be. Then they told me that they said on their website they were renovating and they couldn’t afford to close. They are uninhabitable and not open about it. I bought the room on Expedia and it was reasonable not to look at the website.

They was under renovation when I got there which is perfectly fine. after a long drive there and ready to relax i turned on the TV and it did not have a signal. i called the front desk and the receptionist said they would tell maintenance. No one ever came to the room. In my 3 day stay My TV never got fixed. Also the Hot water was barely even warm.

The room was great but we had no hot water. Brought it up in the morning since at best we got was lukewarm and was hoping to get some type of discount or something but k don’t see any change to the room charge.

They are updating the property and, therefore, was very noisy and dirty. Did not clean the elevator for the 3 days I was there. My room had not yet been upgraded and was in dire need of the upgrade.

Hotel is in the middle of a large renovation. We were in one of the older rooms. It was fine. Another in our party was in one of the renovated rooms and said is was much nicer. Because of the renovation both the pool and the fitness center were closed. 2 children in our party were very disappointed in no pool.

frustrating. The short-term cleanliness was fine. But the long-term cleanliness and maintenance was not good. Wallpaper was disgustingly dirty. The bench thing to put your suitcase on was disgustingly dirty. The keurig was dirty. The bed was ok, but it is NOT RELAXING to be in such a dirty, yucky room. There was black mold on the ceiling of the shower. There was a crack between the tub and the shower wall that was all rusted. The phone was of course not working so I couldn't call the front desk. I finally decided I really needed something so I dug the phone cord up from behind the bedside table and it was covered in a THICK layer of dust. Too dusty to even plug in. Gross. BUT HERE'S THE BEST PART. THEY CHARGE A $100 CLEANING FEE. (They don't clean during the stay, but that's not the problem. The problem is everything above.)

Good: The staff were pleasant and responsive. The facility and the room were clean. The breakfast was yummy and had plenty of options. Bad: the bed was caved in and in poor shape. Three light bulbs were out or missing in the lamps. The sink was slow draining and you had to stand there and hold the handle down in order to flush the toilet. There was no hot water at 9pm on one night. The room desk chair is broken and the seat cannot be lifted to sit at the desk which renders the desk unusable. The card reader on the door consistently didn’t work until the fourth or fifth try.

The staff, especially Gina were absolutely wonderful. We traveled 7 hours to attend my sister in laws funeral and the staff was kind, caring, and compassionate. Thank you too the whole staff for making our stay more pleasant, in such a devastating time for our family.

Loved Carol, who runs the kitchen. Sad the pool was not working....whole reason we went there was to have a pool.

First room we had was moisture smell and dehumidifier in it which we had to empty. We had to change rooms after 3 nights and the MGR accommodated the request, however we were told that since we booked through Expedia, a request like this may not be approved again.

During the pandemic, we realize all motels are experiencing staff shortages and challenges. This group of people were working with those challenges and being pleasant to everyone.

Pool was closed ( I had called twice to confirm that the pool would be open and assured that it was. No breakfast but had been assured that there was. Asked for a discount due to these issues was was told NO. We tried to book another hotel but none were available in the area. Rooms smelled like raw sewage. Don’t stay here!!!

Great place!!
Highly recommend it.The staff was friendly the room was clean the bed was comfortable.Breakfast was good.We had landed late at Pittsburgh Airport and still had two hours to drive home so I had read good reviews about it I liked that it was close to airport and was not high priced got there in about 15 minutes easy to find.would stay again.

Consistent chain quality that I look for when making reservations. Spacious room, soft bed, clean, well maintained. Disappointing that COVID restrictions impacted the ability to use the pool, but this is not the facility's fault.

The pool hours were shortened, the hot tub was drained and the pool area in general was very dirty with the ceiling pieces falling down. Their breakfast was not good and for the weekend continental breakfast they had practically nothing.

I stay at a lot of holiday in express hotels because they are usually great but this one was far from it. We got there at 345pm to find out it woukd be another 45 min until our room was ready. Check in is at 3pm. We had our 2 dogs ans 4 kids with us so sitting in a car for 45 min wasnt an option. They gave us another room. We go in and i began to make the sofa bed. The duvet blanket that house keeping gave to me had a giant urine stain on it so it wasnt washed. Then we noticed a dirty toothbrush on the floor beside the chair. The floors werent vacuumed and over all everything was gross. The pool had stuff floating in it, hair all over the floor. And if youre coming here for the hot tub, dont. Its out of service and according to other reviews, hasnt worked since 2019. Aftwr bringing it to the attention of the staff, nothing was offered. No room change, no refund, not even a "let me get that toothbrush."

The hotel was exactly as advertised and the photos well represented the rooms and common areas of the hotel. I can’t say enough to compliment the staff. They were very kind and helpful, even when there was an issue on Expedia’s end, they helped to get us situated. The pool was clean (hot tub closed due to Covid restrictions) and the staff did a great job with organizing scheduled use of the pool which understandably was being done also due to covid restrictions. (There was a limit on how many people could be in the pool at a time but we had no problem scheduling pool time when we wanted to.). We didn’t eat at the hotel because we had other plans but the breakfast looked great!

I liked the friendly staff. The front desk staff and maintenance were very friendly and helpful when they could be. TV was out for the first 24 hours of our stay. The water turned off with no warning for an hour the next day. There was garbage left in the drawers. Was told by front desk that there were no pillows to have for the fold out couch. Had to use a sheet for a pillow for 4 nights.

Everyone we dealt with at the hotel was very friendly and helpful, especially Miss Gina. The hotel was very clean, our request for extra towels was done quickly, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the hotel, The only issue we had was with the cold breakfast. The cereal in the service area was a little stale, but other than that, no other issues. Thank you!

The hot tub was broken and the mattress needs replaced. Breakfast was supposed to last until 9:30 but the hot food was gone by 8:30 and not refilled. Meh, I’ve stayed at much nicer holiday inns. I’ll try other options next time I’m in town.

7 key card replacements in 2 days. Mattress sucked, no hot breakfast Saturday and Sunday, no maid service unless you ask. Overall a dirty property. I’ll never stay at this property again
