Great condo
Easy check-in and check out. The condo was very clean and spacious with a well stocked kitchen and great balcony view. The condo had private access to the beach and a beach swimming pool along with a swimming pool in the parking area.

Bait and Switch
When we arrived in Destin, we found that Resort Quest (they manage the property) had bumped us from Leeward key to another cheaper, smaller property. Even though we paid in full, in advance and had a written confirmation from Hotels.com, Resort Quest said they didn't guarantee Hotels.com reservations. That is not disclosed anywhere. They rented it out from under us to someone paying a higher price. We were moved to Crystal Sands (think highway motel), a smaller, older property and smaller room that should have rented for half the price of the other. It was supposed to be two bedrooms but it was one bedroom and an open loft with two twin beds. The pool was by the road and very small with nowhere to sit. This ruined my trip and all I got from Resort Quest was a "sorry". Hotels.com promises in their adds that a help desk will fix anything. They can't even though I have been a silver or gold member for over 10 years. I won't make this mistake again.

Perfect place to stay!
Beautiful condo, modern and comfortable. Near most restaurants and stores. Right across the street from the beach. We stayed near the top floor and the view was amazing! Absolutely will stay here again.

Decent hotel, across the street from the beach
We were worried about the hotel being across the street from the beach and not on the beach, but don't worry its not a bad walk so don't let it be a deal breaker. Room was a little dirty with marks and such on the walls. After we checked out we decided to stay a couple of more days and got a room at Sun Destin and we were more pleased with the rooms they had, a lot cleaner and nicer looking but the beach access wasn't that great unless you planned on renting the chairs and umbrellas which are rather expensive. All in all we would recommend either hotel

great vacation
Condo was excellent, clean awesome view, the beach right in front of the condo. Two pools, one by the beach and the other in the rear of the condo which were great, Rental exceeded my expectations. Will be coming back next year

Awesome Views, Awesome Location, Hands-Off Service
We stayed at the Leeward Key over the Thanksgiving holiday weekend. The condo tower is in a great location with beautiful views overlooking the beach. It's right on a great bike/pedestrian path that takes you to the outlet mall at one end and Henderson Park at the other. The beach area includes a heated pool, pool deck, beach showers, and bathrooms. While we loved the location, property, and condo, our experience with the rental service wasn't as great. We checked in the day before Thanksgiving. Unfortunately, I wasn't informed until the day before that the office and front desk would be closed that day. We had to pick up our condo info from a lock box outside the office. Our packet didn't include the correct gate codes to the beach or fitness center and also lacked parking passes. We were only given the bare minimum in supplies as well: only one full size trash bag, one packet of dishwasher detergent, one packet of laundry detergent, one paper towel roll, and two rolls of toilet paper for each bathroom. Also, it seemed like the cleaning service forgot to mop the kitchen floor because it was quite sandy. Despite all these little complaints, the good certainly outweighs the bad at Leeward Key.

"Cant wait to come back" "Incredible Views"
This was the first time we had stayed in this area and we were very well pleased at what we found. My wife wants me to consider possibly coming again in May 2015 or maybe sooner. I don't think you could find a better view. Even though the condo is across the street from the beach, the walk is much less that what we have experienced in many condos that are on the beach.

A perfect getaway
I stayed here last year and loved it so much that I came here again in April! I've stayed on the 5th floor and the 10th floor. The view from the balcony is great. The unit is clean and beautiful. Eating places are in walking distance with one being right next door. I plan to come again each year.

I would go back.
Overall I enjoyed my stay at Leeward Key Condominiums. I did have trouble with the DVD player in my room and my condo could have used fresh paint. Small complaints but I enjoyed myself and felt very comfortable. I would recommend this place and plan to visit again.

Our family really enjoyed this condo. We have a 3 children ranging age from 18mos to 14 yrs, great location for family fun. The beach was beautiful from our room. Family friendly surroundings. We will definitely be back!

Amazing views, comfortable.
My family of 4 stayed a total of 4 nights 5 days and we were amazed at how nice it was. Everything was well kept, organized, and clean. The master suite was perfect. The view is amazing. I come to destin twice a year and I'll be staying here every single time I come.

outstanding place
We stayed at this property for three nights in August 13-16, 2012. The room was very nice and bed was very comfortable. The room had a views to the beach. The concierge was very helpful and recommended several restaurants that were reasonably priced and very good. The location is very good, right across from the beach. We enjoyed the area at night. Very easy to get around. The pool was also very nice. I highly recommend this hotel. It wasn't inexpensive but worth the price. Room Tip: We liked the room with balcony facing the beach - get this room we were in the 11th floor with great view to the beach from our balcony. All and all ROOM 1106 was fantastic...my kids loved it so much they ask if we can buy it.....U will love it, there is nothing negative I can say about it.

Best views in the area
This is the tallest condo building along the stretch of beach and so the views from the rooms are spectacular. Check-in was a breeze (did this on the morning after arrival as we arrived after the office closed) and the unit was well furnished and clean. Staff were very attentive and friendly. There are two pools - one behind the building in the parking lot and the other beachside - this is a great amenity!

Family friendly hotel
The Condo was very clean & modern. Both bedrooms & baths were very clean & comfortable. The living area had ample seating. We enjoyed every aspect of our stay. Pools clean. Very nice staff in the condo & on the beach. Will return soon!

Loved Our Condo at Leeward Key
We loved our condo at Leeward Key. It was beautifully decorated, very clean, had plenty of dishes, and was very quiet. The best part was the terrific view of the ocean from our balcony. Watching dolphins while eating breakfast is a great way to start your day. I would suggest requesting the 3rd floor or higher so you have a good view of the ocean (we were on the 5th floor). The elevators were super quick and very smooth. The only negative thing was that the mattress in our master bedroom was way too soft.

A Huge Relief!
Our trip started very badly with my having to delay departure by 7 hours because of needing an emergency root canal. We finally got on the road and drove through pooring rain to reach Destin at 10pm. Due to the rain and darkness we had a time locating our hotel, but when we finally got there and I opened the door to our suite I put all my recent troubles behind and simply smiled. We were so very pleased! The rooms were awesome; roomy and comfortable with cozy beds and 2 bathrooms with a large kitchen area and a private balcony overlooking the most beautiful beach view that I have ever seen! (Of course we didn't actually see the view until the next morning when the rain let up...LOL! but it was great!) The hotel is not directly on the beach, but you merely have to walk across the road to a gated entrance in order to reach white sands and clear emerald green waters. We enjoyed every minute of our stay. Thank you Hotels.com!

Leeward Key Condominiums - on Mirimar Beach
Our condo was on the 11th floor with a beautiful view of the gulf. We loved the condo's spaciousness, amenities like a washer/dryer in the room and the outdoor patio. The beach was a short walk across a street and through the pool area. There were chairs and umbrellas for rent on the beach and I would recommend you reserve early to get a good spot. The biggest negative was that the ceiling fan blades, pictures and bed frame had a layer of dust on them, despite everyone having to pay a cleaning service fee upon check in. Also, the carpet was very dirty in the traffic areas -- definitely time for an upgrade. There was a hole punched in one of the bedroom walls that should be fixed and the walls could use a coat of paint. Unlike a hotel, the office was only open certain hours of the day if you needed to speak to someone. Overall, the condo fit our needs and was in a great location just outside of Destin.

Great beach location
Even though we had never been to Destin area before, we really lucked out in picking a great place to stay. My only complaint would be that there is no staff on site from Friday afternoon to Monday morning. Truthfully, I'm not sure what we were to do if we had arrived for a late check in.

ResortQuest Leeward Key
This was our first visit to the Destin area and our condo was wonderful. For the price it was a superb deal. The location was ideal to the beach and the strip for restaurants and shopping. We were on the 11th floor which made for a fabulous view. We will definitely come back to this location and stay again. Parking was ample and the walk to the beach was short. Our kids also loved the DVD machine for movies at night. The resort staff was helpful and friendly. We had one issue with a clogged toilet and maintenance was up to repair within 20 minutes. Having 2 pools was a plus because the pool on the beach was a little crowded, so it was nice to have the adults be able to use the back pool. Thank you Resort Quest

Fair but nothing to brag about!
I asked for a two bedroom condo: one queen bedroom and one king bedroom. I got one king bedroom and one TWIN bedroom! I went to the front desk and lodged a complaint but "supposedly" they were all booked up, so we were stuck with the accommodations we had. My husband had to sleep with his feet hanging off of the twin bed for the whole trip! It would have been nice to be able to have receive what I paid for!

This was the first time my family and I traveled to Destin. When we read the reviews that the check in site was away from the hotel, we were a little leary about what we got ourselves into. After checking in and driving to the hotel, we were pleasantly surprised! Everything exceeded our expectations!! We will most definitely return for our next vacation!

Great value overall
This condo is in a great location--just across the street from the beach. The rooms were all clean and there was even a "library" of paperbacks and a few DVDs in the front room! Our only problem was with the keys--all of them. We were, at first, unable to get into the condo and called maintenance to help. My brother-in-law had to go pick her up and then return her to a nearby location. She discovered that the (metal) key had to be "fiddled with" to be able to unlock or lock the deadbolt, which had to be used to have the room locked. All three existing keys were the same. The office was not open on Sunday while people were checking in or out.
