Excellent accommodation close to everything would definitely recommend. The only negative was a bit noisy next door due to reconstruction going on however but we aware could not be helped

Ok short stay in circumstances
Checking in late, room was meant to be open but wasn't. Had to call emergency number and took a further 15-20 minutes to access room. Cleanliness okay but some areas (particularly floors and balcony) wasn't well cleaned. Due to emergency issues with water supply (we visited shortly after a cyclone and record flooding) we had no water for >24 hours. Thankfully we received government text, stocked own water and sorted. No communication from reception, no offer of help with water supply Rooms overall were okay, could possibly use some modernisation (rooms/bathrooms we have weren't those in pictures). Master bedroom also had stairs leading up to bed meaning parents felt uncomfortable using that room and had to take twin Overall reasonable value for money, good size room, nice pool area. Few reasonably small things noted above otherwise would rate higher

The water issues here in Port Douglas at the time were not planned or advised of by council beforehand. We found out the same time that you did. Kids and family place not for couples
More for families and kids than couples Pool and it’s surrounding was full of kids and their pool toys for most of each day. Unit 11 needs a total Reno and the out side patio area dingy and dark with no airflow. Great location and free parking.

Great location, easy parking, good size apartment but just needed a good deep clean. For this time that we are living in with Covid, I feel that cleaning should have been to a higher standard. Light switches, walls and floor I don't believe have been cleaned for a while, there was a sign that read in the kitchen $25 cleaning fee if the dishes are found dirty. Well we washed the dishes before using them and soaked the red wine out of the glasses.

Older style Budget accommodation in great location
Location is excellent and reception was very welcoming and helpful. Property was very good price wise but easy to see why. The property is very old although our kitchen had recently had a makeover & looked new. The cleanliness was ok but we found mouldy chopstix in the top of the dishwasher and there was only 1 toilet roll for 3 people for 5 days & no dishwashing liquid so we ended up just buying our own. The knob for the fan in the 2nd br was broken and there was also no laundry liquid, not even a sachet, we didnt expect a whole container. The laundry trough cupboard was full of old paint tins as well. The room itself was very spacious and definitely suited our needs but I'm not sure we would stay here again. The other thing is the car park spaces are very hard to get in and out off, hence us scraping our car along one of the drainpipes trying to manouver out. So choose your space wisely or park out front deoending on size of your car its tricky.

Close to the beach.
Great location so close to the beach and to town, large apartment with good facilities just a little bit dark in this specific apartment on the ground floor, set back under balconies above. Overall happy with the accomodation.

Absolutely Perfect!
We stayed here for 6 nights (originally had 5 booked but ended up extending) in #12 which is a deluxe 2 bedroom/2 bathroom apartment and we absolutely loved everything about it! The location is PERFECT! Walking distance to everything. Less than 1 minute to the beach in one direction and less than 1 minute to the start of the shopping/eating area in the other. Grocery store a short walk and having a kitchen made it easy do meals. Washing machine and dryer was handy as we traveled with our family. The whole apartment was very clean. The pool was fantastic and there was a bbq by it so was nice to cook while the kids swam. Very quiet location and views were fantastic. Enjoyed having breakfast on the balcony every morning watching the sun come up over the beautiful greenery. Tom checked us in and he was great! Made it all very easy for us. Will definitely stay here again when we return to Pt. Douglas.

We loved the location (so close to the beach and restaurants) cost of accomodation was good and reasonable. Loved the 2 pools, 95% of the time our family had a pool to themselves to enjoy. Rooms were great, clean and comfortable and well presented.

Fantastic weather location was perfect apartment a bit dated but that’s how it is with older places was great for a 2BR 2BA apartment away from the major resorts but you can walk everywhere. Manager more than helpful and great communication looking after us. Free WiFi and parking, you can hire bikes around the corner (500m) great rates and ride everywhere. Thanks from the 4 of us.

Nice aparment...some noise concerns
Very nice apartment in a great location. Steps from the beach, 5 minutes or less to the Surf Club, and right on the main shopping/restaurant street. Our apartment had laundry (washer&dryer), two bedrooms and two washrooms. Kitchen was reasonably well stocked with cutlery & plates, etc. Pools were nice. We were there in the winter, so were sleeping with the windows open. The first night a neighbour below and beside our room was watching TV at unbelievably high volume with his patio door open...so loud that his TV was very loud in our apartment. Luckily he shut off the TV at 22:30 after American Idol finished. All three nights we were there, garbage or recycling trucks woke us up between 06:45 to 07:00 as they were picking up bins nearby. One morning (at 07:00) someone in a diesel Hilux ute parked under our bedroom window beside the recycling bins and left his truck idling for 20 minutes while he searched through the bins for bottles. So I do have to say that noise was a nuisance during our stay. Other than the noise it was a nice apartment and I would stay there again.

Comfortable living space and well sited close to the beach and shops/cafes/restaurants. Light and airy room with a small balcony overlooking the pool. A bit noisy at night and early morning being on the main road but not too bad. The apartment was a bit tired and that led to it being not as clean as we would have liked. It was a bit low on crockery, cooking utensils, etc. Overall I would recommend it for the position and price.

Pool was not clean- murky most days- small Balcony fly screen door didn’t close properly so we had to shut the door instead of allowing fresh air in Insufficient supply of bathroom supplies Kitchen power wasn’t on, we were not informed how to turn on the power to use the stove and oven. We figured it out by not really necessary to start the rental with the power off Ceiling fans were a blessing

Great location, about 40 second walk to the beach. Our room had been renovated and had everything we needed. The pool areas were nice and perfect for my 3 year old son and 2 year old nephew to have a splash.

We had a two bedroom plus loft apartment. For the price we paid for a large family, the apartment was fantastic. Lots of space, two pools, close to everything. I would recommend Driftwood, and if we visited again, would stay again.

What's not to love
Close to beach, on the main tourist drag but far away enough that you don't get the noise. Everything in walking distance. Facilities perfect for a family with three boys 5yrs and under. Would recommend and stay there again.

Great location and spacious vs needs updating and
Unit 2. Self checked in due to being Good Friday. No worries. Room was spacious. Location was perfect to walk everywhere and price wasnt too bad.the kitchen had everything we needed. Dishwasher and washing machine were great. What the unit did lack was a really good clean. The patio was dirty. There was mould on the lounge pillows (dusty and stained mould), stains on walls and blinds, dust and dirt on power points, skirting, behind doors. The ensuite toilet lid didnt stay up and kept falling down, which was annoying. The unit needs a good update or maintenance and a thorough clean.

Great place for families. Older apartments but very comfortable and so close to the beach, shops and restaurants. I would definitely stay here again.

Perfect location, however
Perfect location within metres of the beach and on the main street of port douglas, however for the peak season prices paid the room needs a bit of love and especially a good clean! Overall, due mainly to the location, our stay was good, but for the $ you could probably find better.

Super beliggenhed lige ved 4 Mile Beach
Vi havde 4 skønne dage i Port Douglas. Fin lejlighed med megen plads. Lå i stueplan sammen med garage, så noget mørk. Til gengæld nem adgang til pool. Beliggenhed fantastisk, da lejligheden ligger 30 meter fra den smukke 4 mile Beach og tæt på by med restauranter og marinaen, hvorfra man sejler til GBR (Great Barrier Reef). Vi kan her anbefale at tage på snorkeltur med Wavelength - det var en super god oplevelse. Rigtig sødt personale, som virkelig går op i at give dig en god oplevelse og i at fortælle om revet og dets udvikling. Efter at have tilbragt hele dagen på revet, var det super dejligt, at have nem adgang til lejligheden, grundet god beliggenhed, så man hurtigt kunne komme i bad og ud at spise efterfølgende. Lejligheden har virkelig god beliggenhed. Vi kan anbefale at man tager kontakt i god tid til stedet, hvis man ønsker lejlighed med mere lys og balkon. Det gjorde vi ikke i tide, hvorfor alle lejligheder med balkon var booket grundet højsæson. Port Douglas er lækkert område og populært, så ønsker I at rejse hertil, vil vi anbefale at booke minimum 6 måneder, gerne mere, før ankomst. Dette især, hvis I ønsker at bo tæt på stranden.

Great location but In need of some love and care
Great building in excellent location. We had a 2 bedroom apartment which was nice and big and overall clean. However the interior of the room needs an overhaul in regards to maintenance. Our clothes dryer didn't work , we had no tv reception for the first day and the bathroom desperately needs an exhaust and more than one towel rack . Also management is not receptive enough to handle complaints and act effectively on them from our experience.

Port Douglas Short Break
We booked a 3 bedroom apartment for 6 adults and stayed in apartment number 6. While the location of the apartment was great we were very disappointed with the accommodation. We had only 5 chairs at the dining table and only 4 chairs on the balcony. The dinner plates and bowels were all different, not 6 matching. The 2 large lounge chairs were so uncomfortable that we had to sit on the decoration cushions. They should go straight to the tip. There is a general lack of maintenance on the whole apartment. Many lights did not work. One toilet took 5 minutes to fill after flushing. A shower screen door was very difficult to close and needs major adjusting. Several bedroom doors squeaked when opened and closed and one would not even latch. The lounge room ceiling fan had no adjusting knob and one bedroom air conditioner had no remote control. The accommodation was very disappointing.

Great location not far from the start and finish of the race which is exactly what we were looking for. Room was great, Spa didn't work but other than that great place

Good Value
Fairly basic accommodation but in a great location at the beach end of McCrossan St. Good value for the price we paid and had everything we needed.

Enjoyed stay. How could one not enjoy the tropics. Hotel in ideal position close to beach and main stream shops and restaurants.
