We were met by the innkeeper who greeted us by name, and showed us to our room. The inn is a beautiful old Victorian house, and much of the original woodwork and architectural details are evident. There’s a beautiful sitting room/parlor on the first floor, and they have complimentary sherry and port for a nightcap.
Our room was spacious with high ceilings and plenty of natural light. The attached bathroom was nice as well - and very clean. Comfortable bed, good WiFi connection, and so quiet.
We were able to walk to dinner, and would have loved to sit on the wide porch afterwards, but we were too tired! The inn offers coffee and tea in the morning, but not breakfast. However, they do provide a $5 per guest coupon to a local spot (Forage) where we found plenty of tasty options.
One nice feature that we will likely take advantage of if we return to the area is that our room, and I think another on the second floor, has a connecting room available for use as a family suite - a great choice for travel with kids.
